Fantastic vid mate I put new clutch in and one week later I could hardly move the gear stick I was at a total loss thought it was something I'd done until I found your post and followed your instructions. 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video not only on how to fix but explaining each component. I have an issue with the gear stick being stiff to move across in neutral but ok going into gears. I'll attempt this and see if the bottom gear selector cable? is ok
i know im asking randomly but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Hugh Tyler Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Its actually easier to do this fix with gearbox in the car as on the bench you end up fighting to keep the gearbox still. And no its not important if its in neutral as you try and remove the arm
Hi ... lately my ST (64 reg 74k miles) gear change has been quite awkward. Especially selecting reverse. After car has warmed up a bit the gear changes are easier. Is this a clutch plate issue (wear and tear not covered under extended warranty) or gearbox? I am not competent or confident to sort this myself and wonder what price a garage would charge depending on what the issue is. Car is regularly serviced by Ford and last service was mid January 2019. Hope you are able to advise. Thanks
idk if you fixed it by yet but it sounds like you should change the gearbox oil. And crunching on reverse is normal, just come to a complete stop, shift to 2nd and while still holding the clutch select reverse. works like a charm

Hi any chance you could make a video of how to change the gearbox selector seal thanks
Mine just slided off without issues and my gear is stiff not moving at all stuck in neutral
Thanks I'll give it a go
anybody know if this is the same on a mk2 focus.... having a similar issue
Can you do this with the gearbox still on the car?? Does it have to be in nuteral etc?? Thanks

I go third into reverse for a crunch free easy shift and as there is no gear synch
I heared that gear links are the issue, or it may be the clutch accuator.
I want to ask you a question those 2.0 duratec engines are the same as the mazda3 mzr 2.0 engine
Hi from what i know they are all based around the same design
Same engine, different ancillaries
Mine does this when warm , do you think its the same fix?
Yeah theirs a pretty good chance it'll be the cure👍
