The question of the interviewer was direct to the point and I think a virtual interview should be done in this way because I can feel that the applicant was relaxed and calm in answering the interviewer. The interviewer was kind, easy and collaboration was done in a simple way but very professional.

i hope Filipino interviewers can interview like this. We're not pressured to answer. I was once asked about the role (i was a branch manager)..And i just felt this judgemental vibe from the interviewer as if telling me i cant do the job or Am i sure that i want the job. 🤦
Agreed. Some interviewers are not that good at conducting interviews that allow the applicant to really shine.

Wow the interview looks so simple, I wish all clients are like you.. I also want to work as Virtual assistant specifically an Appointment setter.. I wish our place will have a good internet connection and of course I need to buy a laptop..

Actually, all of my interviews are like that. We are very lucky at the talent we have in our VDW 'family'. This cool lady, who rides a motorcycle, now leads my Social Media team.

I'm applying for a VA position but I always get declined becaause I only have 1 previous job experience after graduating. But I am really interested with this type of work, and I know this is where passion is at. So, while waiting for a call I am watching videos like this to boost my confidence. Don't give up! My very 1st VA had no experience at all and ended up running our VA business when we first started! Attitude counts for more.
You might highlight your skills and your eagerness to work. Often your positive attitude will sway an employer when all other things are equal. Good luck to you.

If I could share some tips. 1. Show genuine interest in the company and the job. 2. try to show a bit of energy, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. 3. Highlight the things you are really good at and love doing. 4. Remember it a two way thing. You are assessing the company as well. If you get a bad vibe, maybe pass on that job. 5. Ask questions........ I hired my very first VA totally on attitude. She basically told me in the interview how she would do the job, and make my life easier! I was sold........

Sadly I think the VA industry can have a poor reputation. For potential VAs it's often seen as a 'filler' job between 'real' jobs, and that it has little career prospects. But I have VAs in my company that have been with us 8-9 years! And for clients, they don't appreciate the value that a VA can bring to their business, which is very sad. I have a team of 7 VAs just helping me! With others supporting different aspects of my business. They are valued full time team members in my business. They are just based in a different country / office, that's all.

Sure, some people only require part time VAs. And it can be done from home. Though we only hire full time staff and they work in our office in Davao City Philippines.
