    If you all would like more nature, there's a new forest park that just opened next to Benjakitti Park and the "Green Lung" of Bangkok, Bang Krachao is worth a day trip too, you can bike around that area (they have rental bikes once you get off the ferry)

    You guys mention that Lumpini Park is at the centere of Bangkok. In fact, historically it was at the outskirt of Bangkok surrounded by orchards and rice fields about 120 years ago when the park was established by King Vachiravudh (Rama VI) who was the second eldest son of King Rama V. The eldest son and crown prince Vachirunahit died young at the age around 18. So Prince Vachirayudh who was educated in English boarding school nearly a decade was recalled home and assumed Crown Prince position. When he became King, he established Lumpini Park at the outskirt of Bangkok, far from the center of The Grand Palance, allegedly inspired by Hyde Park in England. It was the first and biggest public park in Thailand for many years until the reign of King Rama IX where several new and bigger parks were established including Rama IX park, Benjakitti and its new extension adjoined Lumpini Park via sky walkway. Benjakitti and its extension used to house Tobacco Monopoly of Thailand (no private cigarette producer allowed in this country), but the monopoly's factories were relocated to faraway province, making way for the new park. In this present reign (Rama X), the former royal horse racing track about 5 km away from Lumpini is now converted into public park by the order of the new King to commemorate his late father (Rama IX). Within the new park (to be opened in 2 years' time) is the statute of the late king. King Rama IX was widely loved by the Thai people due to his long reign and dedication to develop Thailand via hundreds of Royal projects, mostly in hilltribe areas in the North and through water irrigation projects throughout the country.

      @OnePackWanderers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, how Bangkok has grown over the years! It's hard to imagine Lumphini being on the outskirts. What a beautiful park though, and it is nice to see another park being made in honor of Rama IX.

    There are a lot of great restaurants on Soi Lang Suan, which is right off Lumpini. Also, one of the best times to see Lumpini is at around 8 am when they play the National Anthem. The park is full of activity. Tai Chi, dance classes, jogging, etc. Everyone stops what they are doing and stands at attention when the anthem plays.

I'd like to recommend you " the Benjakitti Park" since they have an expansion project called the Forest Park which will turn this park to be the largest forest park in central Bangkok. It's super chill if you go there in the late afternoon. The sunset at the Forest Park is so beautiful and at Benjakitti park as well. It's worth visiting and hope you guys will enjoy it.

    Thank you for sharing again! This time you both walked passed where I used to work and that bridge that you walked across to lumpini park I was always walk to the MRT station back home 😊.. However, normally you will see more people go to Lumpini Park around 5 pm until evening because during the day people are working and also it is very hot that's why you see nothing there during the day so next time you go around 5:30 and wait to 6 PM when everybody stop for national antheme 😊 also that green bridge if you walk there it access you to another park which is very beautiful.
    Also next time when you order food. If you want it to be less spicy then tel them "Mai Ped" it means not spicy but again not spicy it is still spicy but less spicy then usual or "Ped nid noi" it means spicy but not too spicy lol.. Or if not spicy at all say "Mai Sai Prik" it means don't add chilli so enjoy food and can't wait for your next video!

Food court in Onnut is meh.... Terminal 21 mall at Sukhumvit station is among the best foodcourt (at least before covid) in town it also very cheap . Siam the station that u got off is actually very centre of town it the heart of commerical area in Bangkok there nice looking malls and good food court such as in Siam Paragon ( a bit pricy though) MBK used to have a nice international food court but not sure how is like around this time cause that mall rely main on foreigner visitor next to it is a free art museum pretty nice to check it out. Oh Central world mall also got a good food court on theor top floor it got sky bridge connect with Siam BTS or it own BTS at Chidlom. if you not get enough with the mall yet try Emquartier at Prompong station it got free view point on the terrace garden (in hellix zone)

    congrats on 8K subscribers maibe soon there be enough comming in from youtube to just keep doing this for years to come
    seen some nature series about lizards (think they where komodo dragons not monitor lizards)
    they can smell blood from far away and even a woman on her period is not safe from them
    a bite from a komodo dragon causes a lot of inflamation due to bacteria in there mouth , they basicly bite a prey have it run off than follow it untill it drops dead from bloodpoisoning or bloodloss
    lets just hope these arent the same lizards as a komodo dragon

      Definitely monitor lizards. Komodo Dragons do not live in this part of the world.

      That would be one heck of a dream come true, but we have no expectations and we know that's probably unrealistic.
      We read that those lizards were monitor lizards. Not as dangerous as komodo dragons, thankfully. Still wouldn't want to get bit!

      Yea these were monitor lizards. Indonesia has komodo dragons though 🙂

      @@OnePackWanderers since youre channel is taking off its not that unrealistic to start a online travelagency , and spread the word through youtube , it would be a way to earn some extra money and keep traveling longer than the expected year
      you would need to have some background knowlege and company insurance incase people dont pay or companies dont deliver , another option would be to write a book or multiple booklets about the sights you whent to see per country , that would take some time away from youtube but the income from the completed and published book(let)s could be longer lasting
      dont realy need a printer/publisher for that , nowadays after having the book edited they can be saved in a digital file printed on demand using a docutec (copier on steroids) with a paperback and glued spine or sold in digital format to be read on a phone or laptop
      theres a little method to my madness , im hoping you can keep traveling and putting out content for a longer ime than youre planning at this moment and adding to the budget would be a good way to do it

    Why did you get off at that BTS station? It's not the closest one to the park. The closest one is BTS Sala Daeng.

    • @OnePackWanderers
      @OnePackWanderers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Coming from On Nut, the ride to Sala Daeng and then walking to Lumphini would take about 10 minutes longer and cost more money, so we walked 🙂

    Next time, tell the cook, PHET NIT NOI ( mild, not so spicy). Tia will be able to take it then. Enjoy your videos

    • @SomchaiSpeaks
      @SomchaiSpeaks 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can ask to moderate the chilli. Phet is pronouced pet not fet. And if you just want it to be the normal spice level you say pet tam madaa. Thai people are very used to farangs not eating too much chilli and will always help you. And if you want to tell someone the food is delicious say aharn aroi or aroi maak maak. A compliment will make their day.

    There are many giant lizards in central Thailand. In the north, there are only small ones, not big ones. Villagers eat them first.. Haha (joking)

      @@OnePackWanderers An old saying, in the old days of Thai people, if a giant lizard entered the house, who would be unlucky? And it will eat all the chickens, ducks, pets of the villagers. Villagers will kill them. But if it's in the forest will let it go
