    At 53 and after years of being a pretty average track day rider, I decided to get all the electronic assistance i could in the form of a 2017 Honda Fireblade. Will always hold you guys in awe for what you can do, but i enjoyed the feeling of confidence the electronics gave me at Donny recently! Undoubtedly quicker, but for me its less about lap times, more about coming home in 1 piece 😉

    I thought when you were explaining months ago about split throttle bodies, and what it id, that it sounded a bad idea. Glad you have the bike running great again now. Congratulations

    Hi Neevesy, Can you make a video around how you interpret and take full advantage of the electronics on modern bikes. Ie when to push harder, when too upgrade tyres, when to move the DTC intervention down a notch etc. I would love to hear your feedback, Good luck with he 2022 season.

    These vids are always excellent but this one for me is better again, especially trying to work out how to best configure the software and hardware to get the best feel.

    Nice to see you have your own channel here, I am now a new subscriber.
    I have a newbie question on a whole other level with regards to riding with electronics that I hope you can help with: I have just signed up for my very first track riding lesson, a weekend at the Ledenon circuit here in France. I will be riding my Ninja 1000SX, which has various levels of traction control and I am wondering if I will be doing myself any favors (or not) by engaging the TC partially or fully during such a training even in the event of perfectly dry conditions? As you may know that engine's power delivery is very linear and friendly out of the box.

      Start with it in full T/C and work your way down as you feel it intruding. The idea is it should be on but you should be so smooth on the throttle that it doesn't restrict power. Wacking the throttle and letting the tc take power away is not how you go fast.

      @@stevemurtz3546 Yes, the incremental disabling of the TC of makes sense. I am aware that "wacking the throttle" is likely to end badly :o)

      Hi mate. You’ll find the TC really intrusive on track, so you’re best off to put it in one of the least intrusive settings. Concentrate instead on body position, correct gears, lines, off-throttle turning and using all the track on the way out of corners when you can. The TC is the last thing to think about. I’ve done a track riding vid on MCN’s channel. 👍

    Got a new RR, a license and don't know where the hell to start with it. It steers beautifully, that is all I want, turn the rest off, i'll deal with it..

    Wow, I thought that split throttle bodies going to be the next big thing just like shift cams. I reckon it will take few years for racing info to go back to bmw so that the way they work perhaps could be more suitible for track day riders/club racers🤔 top vid Michael, best luck with racing this year🤝

    What rear sprocket size did you match it with the 15 teeth in the front?

    Its peculiar that you can't just set the double throttle bodies to operate as a single pair. It should be extremely simple to implement.

      You can run them as a two or four within the different maps. I’ll be sticking to four for now 👍

    A mate rides his KTM SD on track by opening the the throttle full...early...and as lean decreases the electronics start unleashes the power without any delay. He ended up with a tennis elbow after a days racing.

      Sounds like he'd be having fun...but would be quicker not leaning not he electronics that much - they're quite intrusive on the SD.

    I'll bet you would be just as quick if not quicker on a bog stock bike ,all that money and complicated faffing and your not having fun!,what's the point 🤔

      Hi mate, I see you’re point: just put petrol and tyres on a standard bike and have some fun. That works, but a race bike is so much faster - suspension alone is worth a few seconds. It’s more fun to figure out all the tech stuff, too. It’s alll boys and their toys, after all 😃👍
