@@ElizabethHome153 Because the police conducted a search (which they didn't have a warrant for, which means they agreed to let him search) and didn't find one; because she told the police a story that didn't match the video which makes it more likely for her to have lied about seeing a gun. People keep saying that but it's not clear to me why. Why shouldn't she smirk? This lady's ex girlfriend clearly goes NUTS, rams a bunch of cars, and KNOWS that there's a police report that clearly shows that ex GF is erratic, and then said erratic ex girlfriend sues the lady whose car she rammed on Judge Judy - AND had the chutzpah to be one of those "my insurance had lapsed the day before" people. She was prepared and didn't even have to explain anything. Wouldn't you smirk?
The police report and the video provide the true story in this case. I have doubts about the credibility behind the defendants claim that she deleted the video after showing it to the police. I think that video provides the true story. Both Plantiff and Defendant provided non credible oral testimony in this case. If the Plantiff watched JJ at all, she would know that you get nothing if you have no insurance and kept her case in the jurisdiction of a small claims court.

If I had taken video of that incident, 100% would have uploaded it into the cloud, my laptop, send it to myself in an email, made copies somewhere so I wouldn’t ever lose it just in case. Things come back to get you sometimes, whether it’s 2 months or 2 years, or 22 years.

I know when my home and vehicle insurance are due because every year, at least two months before it expires, the renewal notices and applications are sent to me. Invariably, the damn thing goes up even though I make no claim. Fine, I just switch.

Because the plaintiff then drove into the front of the defendant’s car after the plaintiff backed up. It was the front of the defendant’s car in the picture.

Wow, the plaintiff is a piece of work. after getting into a petty fight with her ex the defendant she decided to get revenge by having a little destruction derby with the plaintiff but in the process of her little tantrum now 3 other people had to suffer damage to their cars. Judge Judy should have awarded her the money just so the plaintiff would have it when the other 3 people sued her for the damages to their cars. Now when the other 3 people try to sue the plaintiff you know they will not have the money even if the other 3 people do win a judgment.

Sounds like she was paying the bare minimum liability. I don't know anything about insurance in Canada but I would guess you guys have better laws about capping the scam-level exploitation most companies go through here.
That plaintiff should have just kissed and made up with the defendent, she defintely got nothing in court in this case. She lost her girlfriend, she lost her case and goes home with no money and no girlfriend.
