I love lauren so much. Personally i think her best work is in fire bringer. Cause the song writer works with each actors ranges much more. But lauren is amazing in everything shes in ♡
I absolutely love Firebringer. A fun, silly little show that has such great, stylistically consistent music. It’s the best “stand alone album” of any of SK’s cast recordings.
One of my least favourite in terms of writing/story, but the music might be some of the most interesting and well put together and I think Lauren gets to be a bit more natural/comfortable with her singing in it too, I think... So yeah, might be some of her best performing... Not a show I'd want to watch in full a lot, but definitely a soundtrack I'd be happy to hear if it popped up on a playlist or whatever... Some of the individual numbers are quite impressive to watch too.
@@KitsyX Yeah, it was really fun as a first time watch. But i don't find myself going back to it often. Only clips and the music like you said. I think alot of the novelty and surprise due to the plot twist takes away from the rewatchability. But i still loved it!
I wish we could see more of the character. I would have loved to see a video of Linda just walking around Hatchetfield, insulting everyone, and talking to Gerald on the phone.
One cool thing is that the 'why would you give when you can get' bits of the song have already been in this musical before- in the speech given to linda where she accepted the role as Wiggly's prophet.
A little off topic, but for those interested, Starkid just uploaded a short musical called _Workin' Boys_ th-cam.com/video/SXwOGdHDimw/w-d-xo.html It was produced as a Kickstarter perk for _The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals_ and is based on a song from that show. It's fantastic, I was just blown away by it. To get the most out of it you should probably see _TGWDLM_ first.
Yeah, Sherman Young annoys and disgusts me too. This is one of my favorite songs from this musical. I love the little cult just bowing to Linda as she sings, and I often wonder if she actually drank the kool-aid, or if she's just naturally basking in her own glory, lol.
Loving Ashley's face watching Sherman! She looks like she is having to clean a particularly nasty toilet. Great compliment to Jaime Lyn's characterization skills!

@@singwithAshley I love that advice! Simba! Relaxing does kinda help I think, but it's still much quieter than the notes that are a bit higher. Is there anything I can do for that or do I just have to practise more?
@@consequenceoferror4727 think of your ability to do the splits. You may not have the splits now but if you stretch every day, you will become more flexible. Because your voice works off of muscles and ligaments, it’s the same concept! Relax your voice as you sing lower and keep it anchored bright . Lower notes cost negative energy. Higher notes cost more lifted energy. With practice your flexibility of range will increase!
