‘Modern saint’: Boris Johnson praises JK Rowling for her stance on trans issues

- Former UK prime minister Boris Johnson has labelled Harry Potter author JK Rowling a “modern saint” for her stance on trans issues.
Mr Johnson weighed in on the gender debate at a conservative conference in Ottawa.
“What’s so crazy is what she says about gender is of course what 95 per cent of the population secretly think,” he said.
Mr Johnson said there are some people who “don’t have the guts” to agree with Ms Rowling publicly because they’re “worried that they will offend somebody”.
This comes after Scottish police revealed they wouldn’t charge the Harry Potter author following tweets which challenged the country’s new hate speech law.

When the next Scottish election happens, will Humza Yousaf get the opposition arrested when they point out all the terrible things that the Scottish National Party has done? Will he class it as a hate crime when they debate him on political topics? Will they be arrested when they criticise Humza? Does Humza wish to be the 1st permanent prime minister never to be overthrown because no one will be allowed to say anything negative about him? This law is dangerous not just to the individual, but to Scotland and the world.

While I respect JK Rowling's personal position around trans people I am disappointed she has chosen to hide her prejudice behind the argument that they diminish women within the community.
She has hidden her transphobia so well it’s impossible to see. It’s almost like it’s not there.

She has her own charity Lumos which helps Eastern European children in need, as well as Volant Charitable Trust which funds refuges and causes for vulnerable women and children.
She was a major contributor to the Labour Party until Kier didn't know what a woman was!
But no, she hasn't given away every penny she owns!
She has probably saved some poor child from having bits of their body chopped off though. And she deserves to be recognised for that.
