I'm glad you only had 30 people, I am an African and I am trying to convince my family why I want the smallest wedding possible lol..but they have strong arguments for why it should be big, so I am kinda thankful that covid has brought restrictions cause I have always wanted a small intimate wedding.

It's scary how similar we are. Engaged Nov 15th, married 3 months later, Feb 12th in Miami Florida.
We didn't have an intimate wedding tho (100 people in person plus 70 people in the livestream) but everyone was kind enough to get tested, wear masks, social distance and/or quarantine beforehand. Thanks to God, not one case of COVID-19 from our wedding six weeks later.
If you're in Miami Florida, get Vallonier Studios to do your livestream. It will look like people are actually there because it's professional cameras, not a phone. And you can have multiple platforms at once, Facebook, Zoom and TH-cam. They do transition screens, play videos of your engagement during the pauses etc. The livestream lasted all 8 hours of my ceremony and reception and yes some people stayed till the last minute.

I will give a word of caution to you Melody, I listened to you about your argument 24 hours before. Please try to let go off arguments quickly. Talk about it, kiss and make up. You have a great husband. He is able to communicate well and you are equally yoked. Don't allow anything to fester because it will eventually turn to resentment etc.
Please continue to go to counseling. I know you guys will have an amazing life and marriage.

welllll! lol keep it in mind our budget included not one, but two engagement parties and a wedding after party. so 4 events in total. but yeah, it all ended up being more expensive than we anticipated 😅
I wondered if it was mostly the dress, food, florist, photography. But I can see why the three parties would have added so much.

It was a separate event at an Airbnb, in addition to (and after) the wedding reception
