Hi! This is the developer of the game for Studio Supernova, the italian publisher that will release the international edition. Thanks Jay for the review! Just to clarify, what Jay has is a pre-production sample so there will be still some changes for the final edition ;) we are fixing a couple of the things you suggested to make better (ex the Kaiju will be just shuffled in the deck so it could enter the game VERY quickly!) Update on timings: the game will be released around spring, and will be available also in North America through a distribution partner.
I love the color palette of the Japanese version, but the Italian version looks cleaner and more practical, plus the slight rules changes makes the Italian version take the trophy. I had this as a level 3 of my BGG wishlist. You have sold me to up it to level 1.
It’s really good! Also, there’s no reason you can’t get the Japanese version and play with the Italian rules. Of course, you’ll need to get your own cars for your CEOs
Maybe take the Godzilla meeple, player screens and double printed customers from the Japanese version and add those to the Italian version? Create a hybrid using the best of both!
Rule clarification: You can't take the same action twice on the same turn - you need to take 2 different actions. So at the end of the game, you can't take the Move action twice (as much as you'd like to).
It’s been a while since I’ve played Bus, but I do enjoy this more as Bus is a bit old school with everyone first choosing their action selection spots and then you trigger everything else. Shinjuku has actions that immediately take place-very different feel.

This is the best channel on TH-cam
Thanks!!
Love your passion for this game :)
Thanks!
Thank you for the video. This is the first game I have seen in a while that excites me. Really looking forward to it being released.
Thanks for watching! I can’t wait to see this get a wider release as well!

The Italian version is an insta-buy for me, and I'm keeping a lookout for the release 😁
You’ll love it!
BTW, where did you get those stickers to fix-up the Japanese store tokens? I searched on BGG and failed to find anything like that.
Under Files 👍

@@CardboardEast Ah. It wasn't appearing under "Files" for me because it was restricted to show only English files. I'm so dumb. Thanks!
Regarding your initial question, I think every one wins who owns either version. Waiting for it to get releases in EU.
Absolutely! It’s a win for everyone who gets to play this game!
Maybe take the Godzilla meeple, player screens and double printed customers from the Japanese version and add those to the Italian version? Create a hybrid using the best of both!
An expensive endeavor but that’s how I would go! Though I’d rather give away my Japanese copy and someone else discover how awesome this game is!
@@CardboardEast Okay, twist my arm, I’ll take it off your hands. 😂
I same the same thing with Eumble Nation. It would one hell of an expensive endeavour

Yes! You’re right! Didn’t say otherwise? 🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️ So many things to get right (and me) in a video. Thanks for clarifying this 👍
Hi Jay. Have you done the raffle yet on this game yet?
I have! This game was last month’s giveaway. It’s a bit late due to Spiel, but I’ll be posting the winner in 24 hours 👍
Will the Italian publisher be selling this online for Canadian buyers to get a copy?
Rumor is other publishers will be licensing this game for international release 🤫
@@CardboardEastim in such a pickle because I can get the Japanese version right now…
@@BrandentLam The Japanese version is (unfortunately) out of print already, so it'll be difficult to get.
How does this compare to Bus by Splotter Games?

Is this game Japanese?
1st version - PnP
2nd version - Japanese publisher
3rd version - Italian publisher
the designer is from Seattle, but the theme is very japanese and authentic, he did a very good research work
@@maruXVgames Ah that figures. Somehow, despite the board being a map of Tokyo, it didn't feel very Japanese.
Keeping an eye out for this new version. This might end up as a white whale for me
Rumor is that a big publisher will pick it up 🤫
