When you first were like “yeah I got like a 100 rubik’s cubes lying around” I was like “okayy, that’s cool”, but then when you were like “cause I actually have 50 spares” I was like ?? Ok now this is a lot. 100 was fine, but 50 spares, that brings it over the edge and now I gotta say Dude, you got a lotta rubik’s cubes 😂
As i was watching, I thought that the transitions wouldn't be NEARLY as smooth as they are!

Overall the transitions were pretty smooth to me. Next time you can try to use marks with tape. There's this guy who animates Goku figurine here on TH-cam, he has pretty interesting techniques you can check him out. Either way, you did a pretty good job with this! Well done!

Nice. One of my WIP animations has some stop motion included and it's a labour intensive element. Can't imagine how much more difficult it would be trying to animate with Rubik's cubes.
the transition from 7x7 10 100 3x3s was the most abrupt part. There's a whole scene missing from the middle of that where the 7x7 splits into 4 3x3s that quickly grow into 7x7s and they mitosis their way up to 100 3x3s

Traditionally you solve the cube in thirds.
* Bottom third
* Middle third
* Top third
There are algorithms (fixed set of moves) that temporarily let you move cubelets without disturbing the others.

Recommendation for the shakiness: next time use a remote shutter to capture the pictures. When you take a picture using the button on a camera, it creates a little amount of shakiness to the camera that changes each frame. To eliminate it, eliminate the need to touch the camera.

Gosh 40k wasn’t it like 30k a few weeks ago
i LOVE this!!!! I love making and watching little stop motion things, I used to do it all the time growing up and film it on my mom's phone til I was a teen. I love seeing the process too. I could never get the camera consistent lol but I'd just make them for fun anyway so it didn't bother me completely. I've wanted to turn it into learning animating, but thats with the camera and lighting issue stopped me 😆.

Hello, as a speedcuber I was wondering if you just like solving cubes for fun, or you actually practice. If you actually practice, how much do you average on 3x3?
I don't practice much these days but my main event is fmc and I still compete. I average 12-13 on 3x3
