This video was specially created for #TruthOrConsequences, the worldwide tweetalong of the Doctor Who episodes 'The Zygon Invasion' and 'The Zygon Inversion' on Sunday 10 May 2020.
Written by Peter Harness and starring Ingrid Oliver as Osgood, this video was home-produced remotely during the 'lockdown' period of the COVID-19 outbreak in May 2020.

Explaining a joke completely ruins it, but sometimes people completely fail to understand a joke (people named "Matthew" for example), and so it becomes necessary to explain said joke.
Here, the joke was that Osgood hesitated on whether to click on the button that said she had a license.
I'll leave it to you what the possible reasons for said hesitation could be.

SamhainRegen666 yeah confusing but there’s been a couple instances within the who niverse where the doctor is aware that he/she is in a tv show, albeit some cancelled ideas umpty ums by Moffat is one

'Rememberance of the Daleks' from 1988, is set on the 23rd of November 1963 and has a scene just after ACE leaves a room, the camera pans to a TV introducing "a brand new Science-Fiction Series on the BBC; 'Doc-" cut! To the next scene... so, who knows... its a big universe...

I'd say the best character was the 11th Doctor. Or heck, Rory, Amy or River. Osgood wasn't very fleshed out.
Id say they're should be a UNIT spinoff and have Osgood cameo once a season, I'd think it should be a original cast but yeah Osgood should come back
Cameron Monaghan Well it’s your lucky day! UNIT has a spin-off series and Osgood and the Modern team run it. River Song showed up in the latest season and Derek Jackobi’s Master (from Utopia in Series 3) came in during series 5 (I think it was #5. They don’t number them). I haven’t listened to it yet because I’ve just recently bought some of River Song’s series, but I’ve heard good things about it.
@@alexzander4426 its big Finish. As much as i enjoy them it's kind of annoying that they're making greater strides in the doctor who franchise than the BBC. I'd love to see a expanded tv universe
Cameron Monaghan It’s not much different between TV and audio. The only thing that’s different is no visual. Besides, I trust the writers at Big Finish more than Chris Chibnal’s people. Lol. The BBC trusts them too I guess since they get approved to make so many official DW series and spin-off. That’s what happens when you hire actual fans of the show to write for it I guess! Lol

This is, honestly, one of the cleverest shorts I've ever seen! 👏
As much as I appreciate how much hard work goes into these fun mini stories, especially with an actor doing two videos of themself getting the time gaps right in between lines, I can't actually tell if it was intentional for one of the videos to have a less good audio quality where there was muffling in the background so I couldn't tell for some bits what was said.
All the same as it gives me a chance to rewatch it anyway. Plus, who doesn't enjoy Ingrid Oliver?
My audio was fine, try reloading TH-cam- that's fixed same problem for me.
Heck half the time I can't tell what they're saying on the actual show, especially during the first years of the Capaldi era.
I'm pretty sure it was actually filmed over ZOOM (maybe the second recording was, and the first just done via iMovie or whatever, then played back by another person as their main video)... as such the audio quality is going to be rather bad if the actor is just using the EarPod mic. Zoom also has a tendency to automatically adjust the audio levels - so the background noise would be increased.
Someone pointed out on Twitter how one of the desktop logos is the one from Big Finish. That's a great easter egg. Also, Lego Jodie icon.

The fact that Osgood(s) has NOT been a permanent companion to the Doctor yet is a CRIME. She/they would be PERFECT. But please wait for at least the next regeneration. Osgood deserves a good doctor. I'd actually go back to watching the show then.

Bendubz it is Bonnie/Osgood but that doesnt mean that it doesnt answer the question tho. Even looking back we kinda know who Osgood it is The Zygon 2 parter but this just confirms it

Killer Nyan Cat Zygons cant duplicate another Zygon nor has it ever been said they can. The Osgood that Missy killed is the Zygon because Bonnie then duplicates Osgood returning it to being the 2 Osgoods that is needed. In this top Osgood mentions her suckers and bottom says ‘you just give yourself away’ thus confirming top is Zygon and bottom is Human. Tho i do love how Osgood says she is Human and Zygon, however this confirms who is who
@@dazlovescarter Wasn't it said in the twoparter that the Zygons learned things? Like being able to stay in the form of a human who died? Maybe they learned to copy the current forms of Zygons
way more meta than the rest of these inserts, but no harm it that when it's all in good fun. Wish we'd had more episodes with Osgood, Ingrid did such a good job as them.

Wait... How are the Osgoods still able to communicate with each other in 2020? Wasn't one of them killed five years ago? It was never made clear if it was the human or the Zygon so I'm still not sure which one actually died but clearly there can't still be two them.
There can, at the end of The Zygon Inversion, the Zygon Bonnie also takes on the form of Osgood

As Cannon no longer matters I chose to believe that never happened. UNIT is a live and well, the Brigadier's legacy is still intact. The world is safe thanks to Kate Lethbridge-Stewart and the team. (alright then, in cannon we know that there are independent groups such as Sarah Jane's old gang as well as Micky and Martha going freelance. Even though it would now be unofficial I can't see anyone with Lethbridge-Stewart in their name giving up on the world. UNIT would survive, one way or another)

I still can't figure out which is human Osgood and which is Zygon Osgood. I always found the confusion around that more annoying than humorous.
The top Osgood is clearly Zygon, but the bottom is a bit more difficult. I am saying also Zygon cause no way the real Osgood is that stupid with computers.
