After watching this again, I have to say: Ann Wilson is the one of the finest rock singers (of ANY gender) I've ever seen, PERIOD. Her voice, her command, her delivery - the whole thing. Guys, I hope you can see beyond the physical beauty - this is exquisite all around.
This is what a concert should be. Singers signing, musicians playing. How the hell did that go away? Oh, yeah requires levels of talent that only comes around, what once every 5 decades! (70's, 80's, 90's,00's, and 10's!) They still rock.
u used to have to be a bad ass player to even play in a decent cover band , heart is so underrated , god their writing wS amazing and the level of talent as musicians wS unreal . im in awe of this line up
Roger could shred a guitar; Nancy was an acoustic virtuoso, and a great singer. They were all great, but it must have been rough, always being in the wake of the overwhelming power and expression of the mighty, all conquering Anne. You have to listen. You have to watch. She is amazing. I idolized her in 1976, too... when I was a teenaged schoolboy.
Hey Alex your a cool kid...your on the right track.....you love the great music of the 60s and 70s and NOT the crap of today !!!! You cant go wrong kid!!!!!!!! Thank God there are kids like you around to know better!!!!!!!!
I so love this song. It is really one of my favorites. I just want to go out drink and have a good time. Such an awesome band. I can't believe they are not in the hall of fame.
I was there when this came out. Instant fan. Saw them in concert just a couple of years ago. I don't know how it's possible to improve but let's just say they were perfect. They did a completely revised intro for Dreamboat Annie that had you spell bound. Beyond amazing.
I love this video!!!! What a treasure to find the original band doing material off of the first album. Michael Derosier inspired me to start playing the drums. Learning songs like Barracuda, Magic Man, and Love Alive changed my life. Ann & Nancy continue to inspire me to this day. Ann is one of the most underrated singers of all time. It's great to see that Heart will be honored at the VH1 Rock Honors awards!!!! It's long overdue credit they deserve.
I get the feeling that at the time (being quite young and green) I dont think Anne or Nancy absolutely realized just how amazingly brilliant their band was; you can see they were just trying to please the audiences and to try to reach into Zep territory with some of the grooves. They were both also phenonenally beautiful women. This clip is grand but its a pity there isnt more 'docu' evidence around of this era of the band's life...
The outfits are hilarious! The bass players shirt is ridiculous...and whats with those funky amps? Looks like a science fiction movie! Great band back then..all good musicians, and Ann Wilson's voice was awesome!
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Heart and they're the best, but I laughed out loud at 5:25 ...it reminded me of that one kid in every christmas concert who tries to be the loudest
and another thing to add when people say heart sucks i just laugh becuz i bet there favorite bands couldnt cover zeppelins songs to sound almost exactly alike i mean listen to there cover of stairway and black dog. they were truely amazing and no one realized it cuz they were hooked on metallica guns n roses lynard skynard and REM
I had a buddy remind of this song this weekend while skiing after I told him the 'sisters' were inducted into the R&R hall of fame!!! I always loved this song, I think I stole this album from my brother, sorry Mike.
Ahahah I loveee thisss. Everyone's so sexy. Damn. Look at the pants on those guys lmao. Why must my peers be so naive? The hair, the hair.... I know it's tacky and whatever else but DANG. C'mon people. Yes.
The make was a sports car model itself not yet three. New make, first group of it with "USED CAR" STATUS. Her cassette player (extra in this MAZDA RX7) PLAYED MY HEART MUSIC...Two grand I spent very, very well. And, it's still the 1970s. 2020! What are you saying? Jonestown doesn't happen until 1978 November does. And, American hostages has not happened yet, either. That's November, 1979. And, right in the mean, May-middle, is self taught first ever Piagetian-task-architecture, one-one correspondence of design element to my date of birth. In this timeframe, I self teach the first architecture to stand as birthdate, solely mine. Funny how sense was made of the new sanctuary design element of my hometown, landing right in the middle of between-time of Jonestown time and American Embassy Hostage time in Tehran.
@brainseatpeople1 Then bless yourself with a good tase of music, and keep in mind that music from this era will allways be here to stay !! And I can assure you that within 20 years the crapp your friends listening to is not around annymore.
Don't wanna know ya, sure wanna show ya, never will forget I came! Great Line. Awesome song from one of the greatest classic rock albums of all time.
This song still sounds so great so many years later. There was no "smoke and mirrors technology" to hide behind. Just pure talent!!
Ann Wilson's voice is incredible.

I'm thirteen, and this is way better than what my friends are listening to. Why can't someone do this today? I plan on it.
I love that drummer, he rocked then and he rocks now! This band is just not the same anymore without all of these originals!!!

That's why you don't date/go with the sisters ,if your in the Band.

I believe they were inducted❤
Wow! What a blast from the past! The original lineup of Heart singing White lightning and wine off of their first album dreamboat Annie❤❤❤
I seriously do not see how this song did not become a hit. A lot of heart fans say that they LOVED it! :(
watching this video convinces me even more that the original band needs to get back together. They had that magic... man!
I love their music. The sisters are beautiful! Ann could sing and beautiful voice!! Sing your heart out!!!
DAMN can Anne sing or what!!
What a sexy Beast
Ann is the best singer I've ever heard and the most attractive woman I've ever seen.
"In the morning light, you didn't look so nice, guess you'd better hitchhike home! " LOL... harsh, Ann!
Ann Wilson is a goddess of vocals, and Nancy is totally underrated as a guitarist. This was my fave Heart lineup. GREAT video.
No auto tuner there folks! What a voice and great tune!
hall of fame vocals!
really shows her singing power in this song
god given voice unique and impressive
+Harley Powlesland Yes you can get an amen. AMEN!

Back in the day Ann could make my teeth sweat.
I am sorry but I am afraid music is never going to get this good ever again.
Who’s still rocking to this in 2020?

Used to think this was called The Weatherman, but seriously love(d) the jam. Whole record sounds like a greatest hits comp.

This is so very good.

Unbelievable this little band came from Seattle, WA.
😍GREAT LIVE version, but I really miss the cowbell in the studio version. 😁❤☮
Look how easy this man drums... Have you seen their latest drummer on the dvd Live in Seattle?...
Yes
Man love this Vid!!
@Donniesmith1975 Totally, dude. One of my favorite lines in all of Heart's songs-- just total harshness. :)
Holy fuck this is so good
I agree.

This is REAL Heart. Later when when Roger left they weren't as good anymore. We won't even mention the 90's or now will we?
I had a buddy remind of this song this weekend while skiing after I told him the 'sisters' were inducted into the R&R hall of fame!!! I always loved this song, I think I stole this album from my brother, sorry Mike.
@mojame100
The Go Go's was an all girl band, too.
Do this in my band. This tune kicks ass.
Ahahah I loveee thisss. Everyone's so sexy. Damn. Look at the pants on those guys lmao. Why must my peers be so naive? The hair, the hair.... I know it's tacky and whatever else but DANG. C'mon people. Yes.
Hi Doomer - indeed - unparalleled. So glad a guy appreciates this :0) You're the best.

Dammit man, take me back to '76 and put my in the middle of a wilson sandwich.

Roger was very attractive when he was younger. The other bandmates were good looking back then!
@brainseatpeople1 Then bless yourself with a good tase of music, and keep in mind that music from this era will allways be here to stay !! And I can assure you that within 20 years the crapp your friends listening to is not around annymore.

@MrFailWow thats exactly right!!! well said!!!! :)))
@chuckkicks right on!!
You're welcome!
lol so true!!!!
White Lightning
I tend to agree. In those days you had to work your way up, playing live. I think they spent more time learning to play and write.
Roger Fisher and Nancy are so beautiful.
But they don't belong in the same band.
Sounds like about 30 people in the audience. Anyone know where this was
recorded?
@mediacritic hell yes it is !
RIght on iflookscouldkill87. My thoughts EXACTLY!!!
What city and what station was this filmed at?
I thought Led Zeppelin was already in the Hall of fame. Tee hee!
Martin Smith two years after you said this, heart was inducted. You may rest
