Aha! So the Tonys finally noticed one of my all-time top three favorite Chicago actors. Congratulations, Tracy! Well deserved. Onward!

I can't believe Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeves and Clive Owen are older than him. What the heck? He looks like he's 70 years old, damn. Congratulations Mr. Letts you deserved that award. 👍👍

Harvey Fierstein also has a Best Play and Best Actor in a Play Tony. He was bestowed these honors, Phantom, in 1983 for "Torch Song Trilogy."

I had the opportunity to see Dennis Letts perform with him in August: Osage County (in Chicago), shortly before he died. He was actually the first person I thought of last night when his son took the stage. Wish they could have been there--but they were watching, I'm sure.

Unfortunately, no (but I'll look it up). I didn't even know of Tracy until I moved here, and a close relative was a Steppenwolf intern in that timeframe.

Remember Dr. Letts in "Castaway" with Tom Hanks? When I was a kid, I always thought Dr. Letts was like Gregory Peck (Atticus Finch) in "To Kill a Mockingbird." I know he's very proud of all of his sons.

I'm so happy for him. I knew Tracy when he was a little kid. His brother Shawn and I were good friends in junior high. His mom Billie made the best cupcakes. And I once played dominos with his dad Dr. Letts (Dennis). I know exactly what he means about his parents. All of them are wonderful, good people.

Disgruntled Cashier I wished I could see him in action in a theater or his written plays :) really curious, I just know him from few series and movie moments where he ofc had to play the role he got, he mostly discribed his roles as an "asshole in a suit" like in Homeland, Divorce & Christine. Would be so nice to see his other faces :)

      How tacky, claiming you're related.
      Identity politics cuts both ways.
