i am very intrigued by the damage on this chassis, to be honest if it were me i'd get a whole new chassis or the front half, that's if Jeep do that over there, and depending how straight the rear was, sometimes they go parallelogram shape - its odd that none of the area meant to concertina has crumpled, but by the looks, maybe that front side has bent upwards and back, that will take some shifting, but like you i love a challenge a car i killed once with my old Land Rover ended up S shaped, there was a tell tale kink in the roof panel, i hit the front near side as it passed across in front of me, the car spun right round 180 degrees hitting me a second time and pointing the way it came, and then came to rest 40 feet away, actually it fell over, the front wheel assembly was sheared off and sat under the passenger foot well - completely his fault as a novice driver, it was raining and he didn't take enough notice of oncoming traffic while crossing the junction at a set of lights - i later found the vehicle, an old Peugeot at a local garage after a search, and took some photos, Peugeot, from strength to very dead
It might be back in the original shape - but its not as strong anymore. All that heat treatment will weaken the steel a lot. Next impact will be way more devastating …
Yes I agree, i also spoke to the client and this was his preference. Replace the frame or do what I did and since it’s a woods toy I am not worried about it. I know the owner personally and I have no problem saving him some money to have something ever man needs.

This Jeep had to have an aftermarket bumper. If it was the oem plastic bumper it would have been destroyed and would have given you a peek of how bad the damage was. You are going to have to replace the transmission mount. You will feel the vibration. Sometimes you can remove it and wack it with a hammer on the side to bend it back. The motor mount on the passenger side is torn.
I seen some of them Thai people over there and there be a smash back in and they take all the welt out and all you see is body frame and everything and they put a whole new piece on there it's crazy where I seen him do it where the frame is real bad and they all cut off the bat and put the new in like factory it's crazy

Been watching his channel for over a decade. I think his son/ nephew has been helping in recent years... excellent welder. Any way,one of my favorite videos of Andrew is PDR on a maroon KIA years ago,top of right side quarter panel and roof toast,his PDR ability,never knew what happened beyond interior section he cut out and rewelded to do the PDR repair. I think he works in the outskirts of Moscow or Saint Petersburg . Guy is super talented,made his own framing machine encased in concrete floor along with his own framing tools that affix car to the steel rails in concrete.
a few years ago when I was in a stockcar competition in swedish (folkrace) and ended up doing very well until I managed to completely mash the front of my volvo 245 f*ck! what do I do then I figured put a chain in the frame legs and pulled the chain around a tree and full throttle on the reverse gear BOOM! straight as an arrow :P

If the rail was folded up, yes you are right, but the rail was folded side ways and if I pulled down it would change the shape of the curve where the cab starts.
if that was the case why were you pulling along the length of the frame? as pulling that way was pulling the "dog leg" , if the leg was bent (side ways) as you are saying it was then you were pulling the frame the wrong way
I think in the last video you were being to harsh about the jeep frame construction and tensile strength.The owner obviously took off road too extreme and dipped into the necessary crumple- zone feature. Make a unibody or body on frame crumple- zone sectional area too strong,bad;even fatal stuff happens to the human body
I was a bit harsh, but if you watch my videos you will see that I am hard on all the different makes, can’t let these car companies think there isn’t room for improvement 😅
@@23RD Prior to the TJ, meaning YJ and CJ Series:they were death traps....frames would fail in a non predictable manner.Things started getting safer with the TJ to present,front frame must collapse in a predictable manner because the human body can only take so much of a sudden high frequency impact,worse for people with ET bone density and less resilient organs.
I'm a old auto body man and use to all day fix the car frame and let you frame on that side of the come to the front of the car and the frame on the side not to move ate all that Alway you can it
