  • In this video, I want to share with you my ultimate youtube studio desk setup and how I use this one desk to film my videos. I wanted to have a designated spot in my home office where I could film different types of content like overhead setups, podcasts, product shots, etc. Thanks for watching!

    This is everything I have been looking for in a multi purpose set up. My biggest limiting factor when making videos is honestly the set up and packing down, a minor barrier, but a barrier all the same. Thanks for this man!

    Hey thanks for this…I’m in the middle of my own office setup as well and I definite need lights. Will certainly want to move up to this kind of set up! Very clean and looks great! I’m an audio guy of sorts and I can hear a lot of your room in your vocal. I noticed you had a lot of glass hanging on the walls…looks great but bounces a lot of sound around. I’m in the same boat. I’m looking into acoustical treatments to help deaden the sound. Just a thought! Thanks for the inspiration…Nice Job!

Only question is do you use Cannon for both A and B roll and are you sticking with Canon due to your lenses or other reasons. I see so many use the Sony Alpha 1 or R7 MV for its 60+MP. My brother, if you are having trouble seeing yourself in the small built-in camera screen, you'll have more trouble reading notes from that far from your phone. i suggest, get another screen(like the one you got for your camera) and wire it using an hdmi to lightning cable, you can just tuck everything below too and make it easy on your eyes. That way, when you look at your notes, you also see what your camera is seeing.

      Haven't really tallied everything up but if you exclude my camera/mic setup and just consider the desk setup and lighting accessories - Id roughly estimate around
      Desk setup and everything on it - $1500
      Lighting and stand - $2000
      Important to mention that many of these things in the video can be swapped for cheaper alternatives. So let me know if you need recs and I can try to link stuff!

      @@MattDiffey Well good for you. Looks like we both saw it live together but instead of waiting until the end of the video to comment I decided to comment 4-minutes in. Funny how much you care.

    GM Bro! Great setup, never enough setup videos!
    What camera and lens did you use on this video? Can you give some tips on how to position it to get the same depth of field you have with your desk? How big is your desk top and how do you position the camera to get the very same effect? This is with a wide angle lens, 11mm?
    Thank you

    Two questions:
    1. Why is it illegal to have your camera set up in that position?
    2. Why is New Zealand missing from your wall map 😢 !
    Other than that 😂 I really enjoyed your video 📹 thank you for all the effort you go to in making quality content !

    Super slick setup! Where did you get the metal tool cabinet in the back corner? Would love an affiliate link to support you!

      Thanks! I don't have an affiliate link for it but I got it from Home Depot a few years back. It's the all black model with stainless steel top! They make a few different color options

    Great video and setup. What connection do you recommend from the overhead stand to the camera itself? I'm after something that is sturdy given my camera is overhead but flexible enough to swivel to obtain the right angle. Do you have a suggestion or link you can share? Thank you

      @edwardleefilms  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hmm, no specific link for that but I know for a fact you can get a "baby pin to 1/4 mount" adapter and then use a ball head or any standard camera mounting plate to achieve the look you're after

    Are we planning on desk mounting the camera to a big arm or just tripod always ?

    • @edwardleefilms
      @edwardleefilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking about an arm but I like having it on a tripod for now because I can get it far enough away from the desk for more depth. But an arm for the camera might be nice in the near future!

    Any other affordable stands or accessories for the f22c?

    • @edwardleefilms
      @edwardleefilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! You could just buy a regular boom stand or look into an Avenger Mini Boom. Both routes will be cheaper than what you see in this video. However, you'll just run into the T shape thing I was mentioning in the vid. If you have plenty of space though, you can 100% achieve the same results with a cheaper stand

    Hey bro, I love your setup. By the way, I saw your two cameras have different brands, which means Sony and Canon. Does it feel fine to add two different footages in one video? I mean, their color system is so much different, right? For me, I want to use both Sony A7m4 and Panasonic S5M2, but there color system is soooo much different. I wanna know your "how to" fix these gaps between cams. Thx!

    • @edwardleefilms
      @edwardleefilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I actually sold my Canon camera and use all Sony now for TH-cam. I have the A74 and FX3. But I totally understand what you mean. I had a hard time matching colors too when I use different cameras. Have you tried Davinci Resolve? They make great color correction tools for matching footage from different camera brands
