I literally almost didn't make it past the first 5 seconds with those annoying kids screaming gogogogogogogogogo! Please reconsider your brand because it sound like a freaking ad for a daycare center, not a luxury car review. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE.....these stay at home moms really need to stay in their lane.
Thank you so much. It has been the most reliable car we have owned. Other than regular maintenance upkeep, e.g., oil changes, cabin / air filter, tires, etc., we have not had any repair bills. We just passed 60k miles, and it still drives like new. Keep me posted on whether you decide to purchase one.
Great video! Question: Does yours have LED headlights? I’m looking at a 2018 350 but it has regular halogen lights. I test drove it and was shocked at how poor the lighting was at night. That’s kind of dissuading me from buying. Also, the LEDs just look better, in my view.
I do not have the LED headlights, and that is one of the biggest drawbacks with this car. It is shocking how bad they are in comparison to the xenons in my BMWs. The other drawback to the car is the fuel consumption. I have never been the one to pay too much attention to that, but when you have to put $70 plus every time you fill up the car, you begin to notice. Other than those two drawbacks, we are loving the car so far.
I don’t know if you owned the car with kiddos being in rear facing seats but if you did, how was the seating for the front passenger? In smaller cars the passenger typically needs to move the seat forward.
Unfortunately, we did not have this car when the kids were in rear facing seats, but there should be plenty of room for that as well. I don't see them having much impact unless the front passenger is very tall and tends to move the seat back a lot. Thanks for your comment!
@@adrianmilligan950 Sorry for the delay, buddy. Here are the measurements: 1. Between the boot floor and the top of the trunk door when it is open is about 50 inches. 2. After you open the trunk door, there is an arc that forms the structure of the car. The distance between the boot floor and the top of the arc is about 31 inches. 3. Once you clear the arc and the roof between the arc and the seats raises, the distance between the boot floor and the top of the roof is about 33 inches. All of these measurements are from the center of the car and are at their highest point. As you go to the side of the car, there is an arch in the roofline, which results in the measurements being smaller (about 27 or 28 inches from the floor of the boot). In a nutshell, when you open the trunk, there is a biggest opening. But if you are trying to fit something inside the trunk, once you clear the trunk opening and put something inside the car, the distance is lowered due to the arc that is part of the body of the car. Does that make sense? If you were trying to put something that is 50 inches tall, even though you could probably clear the door initially, it probably wouldn't fit inside the trunk because you would have to overcome the 31 inch arc and store it behind that arc, which area has a height of about 33 inches. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!
@@GogoMotoring Thank you for the effort you have gone into here, it is very detailed. But sadly doesn't answer my fairly basic question. Putting my question in a different way: What is the max height that can be concealed beneath the pull back load cover? Please.
@@adrianmilligan950 Got it. It looks like it's about 17 inches. I actually do not have a load cover (which is frustrating), but it's about 17 inches from the boot floor to where the load cover would go. I hope this helps.
Hi. I am border-line obsessed with this car. So I’m noticing that these comments are a couple weeks old but the year is 2018. Did you buy this car used?(that’s what I’m looking to do). Do you know if the 2018 even came w/a third row? All my research says no but one place I found said some 2018’s have 3rd row seats. Also I always thought that MB was a super smooth ride. Some reviewers have said(elsewhere) the ride is bumpy! Do all come equipped w/air shocks or whatever it is that make for a smooth ride?. I had a Lexus 470 that was like floating on a cloud - my 2016 Mazda CX-9 not so much…..I REALLY want that smooth ride again! Also - another one of your viewers commented about the headlights. I never even thought of that! My sister had an old Lexus RX&I swear at night you couldn’t tell the headlights were on! I never knew about halogen vs LED. Are these all halogen? That’s definitely a dealbreaker for me. I absolutely hated the lack of light driving at night - it was awful! Thanks!
You should totally buy this car. We had a 2011 Mazda CX-9 before this vehicle and are very happy with the upgrade. The halogen lights are not good, but I am sure that you can find one of these cars with LED lights. I think Premium Package 2 addresses the lighting issue. Thank you for your comment, and stay tuned for more videos!
You can't go wrong with a Benz. The old saying of "once you've owned a Mercedes, you'll always own a Mercedes" is so true. They are so good and classy. Perfect car to have alongside a BMW.

Picking ine up soon. Thanks for the review
Awesome! Have you picked it up? What are your thoughts?
@@GogoMotoring I went a different route. Bought a Honda Pilot. I expect much less in maintenance costs.
I love your review it can tell your honesty to me . Tomorrow I will test drive same one RWD 51k miles 2018 25700$ .

Will do. Very happy with this car. Thank you for your comment and stay tuned for more Mercedes GLE content.

Great Video. We bought 2018 GLE last month with 40k miles it drives like a dream. Do you still own yours ?
Absolutely! It’s the most reliable car I have had so far. We love it so much! Congratulations on your purchase!
I have gle 350 2018 and love it. I upgarded with HID and android 12 inch screen. It haa enough power
Tell me more about the HID upgrade. The biggest complaint I have with this is the headlights. They are not bright enough.
Would a kind owner please measure the vertical height from the boot floor to load cover please?
Thanks in anticipation.
Working on getting you this information!
I got excited - but then nothing... 😕

This gle looks bigger or smaller than ML ??
They're the same size (at least the W166 version).

You can always replace the Halogen bulbs with LED ones it’s way cheaper than buying one with LED package
To answer your question the 3rd row was an option.
