This turned out so good!!! I was wondering if anyone had done this because I want to do the same, so this was really helpful. Also, pro tip: put a scratching post or two next to your sofa! Such a simple fix and makes a world of difference. Cats scratch furniture because our scent is all over it and they just want to add their scent as well since they see us as their family. Adding a scratcher allows them to do this natural cat behavior without destroying our furniture

I do not have an ektorp sofa.YET, I struggle with them be course on most videos, the covers look awful at the bottom and around the arms. so messy. But yours does not. I hope to get a bigger home so I will have room for a sectional IF I can avoid the messy look. I would not do what you did although you are saving money and thinking of the environment.
