From the greatness of this album, as well as her others, you can see that most of the Nicki hate is rooted in ignorance and misogyny. But even then, everyone can agree she’s the greatest woman to do what she does. Jay Z, Kanye, Lil Wayne, & Foxy Brown are just a few of the legends that have openly agreed to her being the best. She’s one of a kind and has earned her respect
I'm hoping it's more from ignorance. My mindset coming into this-what I thought of when I thought of Nicki-was her shaking her ass and songs about sex. That was a big part of what I thought she was. I'm assuming that's the case for many others who haven't taken the time to listen to her music. And it's a shame because she is SO much more than that.
@@bobthepoppop So true man. When you get around to her 2010 debut album “Pink Friday”, you’ll see that in that album she never mentioned sex. Not even once. That album was also amazing, and it has the greatest features on it. It sold 375,000 units in the first week (the highest first week sales for a debut album by any female rapper). Personally i find it kinda hard to put her over artists like Missy and Lauren Hill, and hell even Little Simz has a bit of an edge over her to an extent imo, but i can agree shes done a lot for the culture.
See the thing is I feel like music has such a broad spectrum especially in rap when those women you just named all have different flows and styles when it comes to rap they each have paved their own section in rap which we don’t see anymore nowadays, everybody is kind of the same generic rapper so I could never put missy, Lauren, sims and Nicki over one another because they all have different styles of rap. so it really just depends on the person and what rap they are looking for. So happy you reacted to the album. Trini Dem Girls and Get On Your Knees are two of my favorites, All Things Go is super emotional and Grand Piano is amazing vocally, her most passionately sung song. Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded are really arguably just as great, they have a lot more of the wild Monster verse type of energy. Nicki Minaj's space in Hip Hop is UNDISPUTED...she is the highest selling female rapper of ALL TIME IN HISTORY! She is a music ICON breaking records even outside of the rap and hip hop genres! Numbers don't lie and that's why her haters stay mad because what she did can never be undone!
There is a lot of hate/rumours about Nicki because people want to downplay her talent/ music. I listened to her music in grade 8 and am alive because of her. Her music is so dynamic; she has hits in all genres. I love this album, but it doesn't showcase her rap talent. I would like you to hear Queen. Her pen game is on another level. Listen. This is an awesome review. I’m 3 tracks in and the reflection you’re doing is appreciated. Nicki doesn’t get enough credit for this deep content.
Most people judge Nicki without having listened to her albums or her music. If you go back through her discography, you will undoubtedly be a Barb, and if you don't love her, you will have to respect her. You can see this from so many people who were not into Nicki on youtube based on their preconceived notion of who she was. After reacting to her music, they are all Barbz. You can't deny her talent. She will end up in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and become one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. Based on her talent, consistency, and longevity in hip-hop. Nicki is the QUEEN of rap!
Loved going through this video and re-listening with you. So many judge Nicki by what they see in the mainstream media, but when you take the time to listen to the full album… it’s SOOO much more. She’s so versatile and talented. There will never be another…

aswome review! I feel like this album was so emotional and smart because Nicki was just getting out a longterm relationship and engagement and through this album she showed heartbreak in the first 3 tracks, then started to feel sexy and had fun towards the middle, and towards the end found new love but still reminding you about her pain. This album is phenomenal And so was this review I’m new subscriber now!
When I first listened to the album I was a teen but in my early 20s after a toxic relationship and trying resolve issues within myself this album was definitely one of those albums that pulled me through. She’s not just a rapper but Nicki is a great artist.
I grew up w listening to Nicki ever since I was maybe 12? Because my older sister loved her and she would buy her CDS and I shared a room w her. I know all of nickis old stuff and I’m 21 now and I’m happy I grew up listening to her. Great reaction !
I saw nicki in Pittsburgh on the pink print tour and this was such an ICONIC era honestly I think it was the height of her celebrity she was in the press every day and people talking about her and meek and tons of rumors and it was just such a juicy fun MOMENT in time !!
If you want a more rap centered Nicki Minaj album, I recommend you check out her 2018 Queen album. In my personal opinion it is her best album to date, with the second being Pink Friday.
She's one of, if not the biggest female rapper ever. She just doesn't carry herself the way other artists of her caliber carry themselves. She's into a lot of drama and she does things very publicly which has damaged her image as one of the legendary people in music.
I don’t think it’s damaged her image as one of the most legendary people in music, because her body of work, impact, and legacy can never be undone. I will say it has given people more of a reason to try and discredit her.
Nicki is so honest and raw, she takes all of us off guard and is shocking, is amazing how vulnerable she is. I love how you not only listen to the songs but thought about the lyrics and appreciate the words. Thank you for sharing your perspective. I hope you continue to listen to her. She is such an inspiration in so many ways and aspects, I admire how she can ride every beat and basically that shows how she flows in life, life is so many things. I hope I was clear, thank you for sharing this.
as a barb i really appreciate this analysis and review !! you should react to her most recent album queen, it’s far more pure rap oriented and she’s definitely more lyrical on that project
it surprises me that you heard pink print was better than pink Friday, I think pink Friday is more the ‘monster’ type nicki since they came out around the same time. Love that you enjoy nicki btw you’re a true hip hop purist.
I like this. The picture people paint about Nicki Minaj is sad because she’s really talented and has good music. She’s not the Queen of Rap for no reason. You should definitely do Pink Friday as well if you would like to react to some more of her stuff. It’s really good. 🙏🏾
Another great reaction. Nicki is definitely one of the greats with one of the best flows. She has always been sensitive about people saying she didn't write her rhymes. I'm not a Drake fan but this was one of his best verses. The best thing Lil Wayne ever did was sign Nicki and Drake to his Young Money label. They also have a Young Money album. Nicki held the crown for 10yrs. No other female rapper came close. I think a lot of Hip-Hop heads weren't feeling this album because she didn't rap as much as she did on the first album. Skylar Grey has collaborated a lot with Eminem.
Babe it’s ok to relate to Nicki Minaj. She’s a master poet and lyricist. And I think that right there is the world’s biggest misconception, that because people have this idea of who they want Nicki Minaj to be. They miss out on some great fckin music.
So happy to hear you’re going to be doing Lil Wayne! I really hope you enjoy him as his style is unorthodox and unlike anything else you’ve listened to on the channel. Definitely has that traditional, southern hip hop feel. He’s my favorite rapper so I’m a bit biased but hopefully you enjoy. Tha Carter 1 is a great place to start and doing the trilogy would be sublime.
This was so fun to watch. 😂 Most the time... it feels like the majority of people who have a pre-conception about Nicki (or her sexual bars specifically) have it because they're against that type of music / lyrics. To see someone react to it who isn't judging.. but also not already exposed to her off the wall lines is.. amazing. 😆
bro Nicki just gets better with time, she so smart with her albums. First album showed her skills and is a true classic album, second album was experimental (and we all kn it can be a hit or miss for some artist) but she gained several hits, third album by now she skating, nothing could stop her growth and sharpened skill was in full display and Queen was a reminder for the people who we're ignorant and dense, This next album honestly the impact might be something else, im ready.

Omg it makes me so happy that you liked this album! I remember going to Target the day Pink Friday dropped to buy the CD when I was 12. Win Again on the deluxe of this album is one of my favorites by her by the way
I'm so glad you reacted to Nicki, she's great and very underrated in the hip hop community especially online, but she's really great and talented. I think Pink Friday is definitely one you should do. I also think Roman Reloaded The Re-up has some of her best songs but you might not enjoy it because half the album is pure pop
The re-up definitely is the one he should react to. It's really good
This reaction video was such a breath of fresh air especially from someone who doesnt primarily listen to rap and still showed appreciation towards her artistry, grand piano really prooves all her haters wrong
She can do quadruple entendres. Thanks for being open to her music!
This album saved my life
❤❤❤❤🦄🦄❤❤❤
There will never be another…
the fact that nicki is currently repeaking in 2022 is amazing to me
This album will forever be dear to me. Personally her best work to date. The production is amazing & bars are on point. Really hope she goes this route with NM5
nicki is the most successful, selling, wealthy, streamed, awarded, etc female rapper of all time. and it’s not for no reason. she’s not only earned her spot of that throne but she paved the way for EVERY single new female rapper out in the past 10 years.
Not to be dramatic or anything but this album saved my life
❤❤🦄🦄❤❤
OMGG I WASNT EXPECTING THIS IM SO EXCITED
I love how the song is called Trini dem girls and he still assumed she was Jamaican 😭
😂😂😂stop 😂 grace my friend 😂😂😂
LOVED this reaction and watched in its entirety. you’re funny and you took the time to really listen and give solid opinions. nothing like someone who understands.
Listen to the deluxe tracks some of her best songs are on there !! Truffle butter, Shanghai, put you in a room, Mona Lisa
Not him calling the barbz rabid lmao I love it 🤣 but I’m glad he said misunderstood/misrepresented. That was DEEP. She is very versatile. This is a great album though. Glad he chose this one
This guy is very smart with his music choice if u look at his other videos. No way he would say nicki isn’t talented.
y’all need to stop saying “best female rapper”. She is TOP THREE RAPPERS EVER. OF ALL TIME. period!
Definitely top 10 greatest rappers of all time, according to billboard and vibe
nicki's impact and icon status is solidified. she #1 female rapper of all time, you CAN NOT DEBATE IT, SHE WINS EVERY BATTLE. overall? easy top 50 of all time(the fact shes the #1 of females has to put you in the top 50 of all time) of modern day she's easily top 15.. the debates only come from sexism, boring answer but cause dudes cant connect with some songs and lyrics they discredit her
Lauryn>
Imo little simz, lauren hill and missy have edges over her but she's definitely in the conversation
@@Nobody15534 it all depends on what critiera, im not talking about person. if you have to make a list based on the many thing used to determine the greatest of all time eg.
Lyrical/scheme skills(grey area i admit cause that needs its own criteria)
body of work
longevity
cultural impact
commercial success
Critical succes(can be a deciding cat)
when you look at those thats why i say, not debatable as nicki tops every one and it will take ya 5 minutes to fact check it lol just not worth trying to debate the women hasnt got a close second im sorry, missy would be the closest thing to 2nd absolutely
Go somewhere and sit down nicki is on the Mount Rushmore of rap. Nicki is in the top 5 for all time rapper male or female. No one is seeing nicki pen.
@@planetoidmedia8486 missy is NOT a lyrical rapper. Missy not seeing know nicki. Jayz or Kanye can out pen nicki.
The best part about Nicki’s Only verse and her writing is she’s freely and shadily schooling her sons on and breaking down how to construct a concise in pocket verse. Considering how many people have writers. She really gave us The Pinkprint.
Nicki has a gospel song also ft Tasha cobbs 😂 she’s very versatile
Loved this album when it came out. Took me through much of 2014 and 2015.
Love hearing Bob appreciate Wayne's verse on "Only" 42:45
IT'S AMAZING to see someone who "prefers" other genres ACTUALLY SIT DOWN and GIVE THIS A LISTEN!!!😁😁 THANK YOU for giving this a chance and sharing your opinion, this is my comfort video.
you need to check out the song "win again" :) i was waiting to see your reaction to it & was confused as to why it wasn't here but i realized that it's only on the deluxe version! it's a really impressive track
yeah i was so disappointed, idk why she didn't put it in the original album but oh well
Anaconda was almost - not almost - scandalous for its time, especially the music video, now it's normal for us but she really step it up for every other girl
That was lil kim and mainly Trina thanks
@@XYZHAUSSif what you're saying it's true, people would have been prepared for anaconda and would not react the way they did lol Nicki is the one who influenced the new generation of female rappers
@@angel_lucass foxy brown is still influencing rappers till this day even nicki tries to capture foxy flow. And everybody looks like Kim. The new girls just wanna boss up like Nicki
@@XYZHAUSS You do realise multiple people can influence something right💀 Lil kim did her thing but it just so happen that nicki did too
aswome review!
She’s not just a rapper but Nicki is a great artist.
thank you for this reaction, it’s nice to see someone unbiased actually enjoying nicki’s album❤❤. love from the barbz🦄
I grew up w listening to Nicki ever since I was maybe 12? Because my older sister loved her and she would buy her CDS and I shared a room w her. I know all of nickis old stuff and I’m 21 now and I’m happy I grew up listening to her. Great reaction !
This video is absolutely fantastic. Nicki is a legend.
Favorite will definitely grow on you.
I love the way you review. Your breakdowns and what you notice in the songs are like no other I’ve heard.
Nicki is phenomenal at what she does. I always look forward to her work. She's one of the best ever, male or female.
@@doubled2doubled That's a fact. Her impact on music could never be undone. She just doesn't carry herself that way.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say that Pink Friday is better than The PinkPrint
It was more of a 50/50 in that people have said both albums are great, but in different ways
@@bobthepoppop def makes sense both albums are great
It was the Forbes list she was referring to wit her , jay z and diddy
Loved this reaction! I wish they had win again and truffle butter on it but I think that’s like the bonus tracks for this album
Already looking forward to the Additional thoughts discussing the Anaconda music video 😅
People dont listen to her albums they only hear the pop singles that chart. She has deep music.
My gf loves nicki and i enjoyed some songs at the time. Hearing it now aged great ! Honestly a better artist than Drake imo
Great live !!!! I’ve never seen your lives but now I’m here !!!! Nicki Minaj fans are forever !!!! I NEED more content!!! 💜🦄
Pink print is an amazing album and that is why us BARBZ go hard for her.
you HAVE to do her mixtape, beam me up scotty from 2009, it’s how i first got introduced to her and she’s been doing her thing ever since
HEr 5th studio album is coming out soon! It's been 4 years since her 4th album Queen came out.
Babe it’s ok to relate to Nicki Minaj. She’s a master poet and lyricist. And I think that right there is the world’s biggest misconception, that because people have this idea of who they want Nicki Minaj to be. They miss out on some great fckin music.
Easily my most favorite Niki Project, Pink Friday her debut is also an excellent Album. She had 2 back to back albums that were Fantastic!
Barbz appreciate you!
Nicki is the queen of rap period
Nicki's one of my favourite rappers ever. She's one of the smartest lyricists ever.
My god this album is so good
Im so into this reaction!!! Please do all of Nickis albums. She’s the main boss for a reason 🔥✨
The entire time I kept thinking “wait until he gets to grand piano” 😮💨
So happy to hear you’re going to be doing Lil Wayne! I really hope you enjoy him as his style is unorthodox and unlike anything else you’ve listened to on the channel. Definitely has that traditional, southern hip hop feel. He’s my favorite rapper so I’m a bit biased but hopefully you enjoy. Tha Carter 1 is a great place to start and doing the trilogy would be sublime.
Thank you so much, this album and artists deserves this 🎉
This was so fun to watch. 😂
Most the time... it feels like the majority of people who have a pre-conception about Nicki (or her sexual bars specifically) have it because they're against that type of music / lyrics.
To see someone react to it who isn't judging.. but also not already exposed to her off the wall lines is.. amazing. 😆
Never listened to Ariana Grande & first heard Chris Brown on Only?! PLEASE react to Chris Browns first album!!
bro Nicki just gets better with time, she so smart with her albums. First album showed her skills and is a true classic album, second album was experimental (and we all kn it can be a hit or miss for some artist) but she gained several hits, third album by now she skating, nothing could stop her growth and sharpened skill was in full display and Queen was a reminder for the people who we're ignorant and dense, This next album honestly the impact might be something else, im ready.
if u want to see her live she just did a rolling loud performance recently but its not really her best but its just a fun performance and not to be taken seriously at all its just nicki and the barbs having a good time
and she performs feeling myself there
nicki got a lot of respect bcs female rap wasn’t taken seriously before but nicki was up there that she was seen equal as the male rap, the reason why female rappers start getting featured in male rap, she just opened opportunities for female rap
She’s forsure the greatest female rapper of all time.
i begrudgingly agree but damn does that prove we really need more women at the forefront of hip hop
Possibly. I think the best female rapper ever is… M.I.A.? (Bob should react to Kala sometime). Damn, we really need more women up there.
@@stratford1 i agree a Kala reaction is a must, M.I.A. is just a whole other world
Lauryn hill clears
@@vivifrfx1530 I feel like atp if you don’t consider Nicki Minaj top 10 you’re sexist at the lowest she’s top 15
