17 Yard Outdoor Practice For Indoor Range CCI SV Lapua Ctr X

Mostly Indoor targets for the winter season. The range is 17 yards.
It was 27*F cold today, but not much wind and no snow falling so I thought a good day to practice outdoors. A few groups and some accuracy. I set out to practice with CCI SV then decided to do a little back to back Lapua Center-X with it for comparison.
The results were as expected. Practice ammunition vs match ammunition.
I wore gloves but it was still so cold I loaded magazines in the vehicle with the heat on as I could not feel the cartridges in the cold. Likewise, trigger contact was with the middle joint of my finger as I could not feel the trigger with the finger 'pad'. This is doable, but not the best for accuracy technique.
In spite of the accommodation for below freezing weather it was a great shoot. There were no '5 in same hole' groups as there might have been in the summertime, but '5 in one ragged hole' was good to see. There were also not too many 'obliterated' yellow centers, but a few and some close almost centers out.
On a fridged winter day, the premium ammunition shows its 'Raison d'être', even when shooter technique is less than ideal.
