Bug Eye Ghost was originally from The Real Ghostbusters TV show and toys. As a nod to The Real Ghostbusters, they redesigned him, and made him a ghost in Ghostbusters: Afterlife
I thought I was the only one who recognized this ghost...I also wanted to see the Boogeyman, the ghost grandma, and the haunted toilet. Those would've been amazing to see live
I find it quite interesting that the bug-eye ghost had been based on the toy that was made for The Real Ghostbusters toy line released from Kenner in 1987 and re-released in 2021.
Although the 2016 ghostbusters sucked ass, I did admire some of the ghost designs like that dragon ghost and the electric chair prisoner ghost, and Rowan when he transformed into the cartoon version of the logo and then the monstrous version was pretty cool, but not enough to save the movie from total failure.
I love that they are starting to venture into the obscure. Bug eye is so so obscure from the cartoon! I love his new design and can't wait to see any other Real ghostbusters Ghosts in this movie!
So we got this ghost and Fearsome Flush in the Kenner Classics toyline, we just got those 2 so does that mean Fearsome Flush will also be in the movie??

Oh how cool! I still have that old toy from way back! The eyeball shattered and has been held together with scotch tape for yearsssss 😆
