To be fair, while Sonic '06 was rushed, that's because half of the team was forced to work on Secret Rings. Plus, a good chunk of the glitches in '06 really serve as humor more than anything & they are of benefit to the speedrun community (as well as some other casual Sonic players who like the game too). The only part of Sonic '06 that can actually be considered as questionable is Elise kissing Sonic to revive him. Those are just my thoughts, though.

I feel like they were too ambitious with what they wanted to do with Hedorah. If they had maybe toned that down a bit they probably could have easily had him.

I forgot if it was in this game or in another pipework godzilla game, but I heard one scrapped character that was considered was godzilla 98 and the reason from what I remembered was the same as biollante, they couldn't get the rights to him from Tristar

Hmm never heard of that. But neither Wikizilla nor Gojipedia explaining the game stated that Zilla was once considered.
But Zilla was once considered for Unleashed, but was dropped due to popularity.
