YES, we MUST be careful with fire in the woods. Two boys were having contest of lighting and flicking matches on a trail in the Smoky Mountains, just above Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They set a forest fire that burned thousands of acres of beautiful forest, hundreds of homes and businesses, killing several people and much wildlife. The forest is not yet healed. So sorry for your losses there in Australia. We mourn and grieve together…as life goes on. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CAMP SITE!!! Thank you for sharing.
The Firies do such a great job trying to control these fires and it is always saddening to hear of them passing, anyone passing in a bush fire is heart breaking let alone those giving up their time to fight them to help protect us. What an amazing spot for camp mate, those views are stunning. Also thanks for cooking up that bacon, Got some out of the freezer yesterday that we didnt use and now I think I will make an omelette for breakfast using that and Chorizo.
Don't feel dirty and don't worry about plugging gear. For me it is always about getting the 'mix' right between the content and the requirement to make the provision of that content economically viable. You are doing a great job mate. Keep up the great work and the great content.

A good meal I've found which is easy to take on hikes is from Aldi. Tuna Ready Meal. Kale, Quinoa salad and I add a tin of smoked tuna slices. Easy to transport and make up quick and yummy.... Love the channel. Cheers
To get the perfect cooking temperature Scott...scrape some coals of your fire to one side and cook over the top of that. Guarantee perfect outcome. It won't cook took quick and burn. Also try using hot ash and embers and do some Shish kebab. Love your work Scott and love the scenery. 👍🍻

Well said on the bushfire situation mate. I would add don't make a fire bigger than you actually need (it is harder to extinguish) and don't even contemplate a fire in dry and high wind conditions.
Great spot Scotty beautiful place to camp that's for sure, that memorial you stopped at reminded me of the Black Saturday fires I live in the Yarra Valley and at one stage we had fire almost all around us luckily the wind change came and the fire went away to the Nth East by the following day it was clear how close it came to us and the destruction was frightening and the firefighters were amazing .I will never forget the utter destruction that was left after the smoke had cleared,RIP to all who lost there lives in that inferno.

Do you ever look at these landscapes (canyons/valleys etc) and think what they looked like hundreds of thousands of years ago? Like surely they were filled with water once upon a time. Pretty crazy to think about.

That fire fighter was a hero. He turned his tanker around to block the flames. And seven of his colleagues were injured but survived because of him.
