    All my studies show that the interior wood trim pieces are indeed real wood, albeit highly laminated and way too glossy to suite my taste. IMO it looks like faux plastic wood trim but to each his own. And the difference of the color of wood on the doors versus that of the color on the dash is probably from years of exposure to the sun. Especially if you pay attention to the hues of brightness/darkness on the wood paneled center console. The doors receive less direct sunlight than any other piece of wood trim and as such would generally be darker than that of steering wheel strip, dash panel trim and the flatter broader sections of the console. And this car does have a rather deep set windshield which will allow optimum sun exposure if left or parked outdoors for extended periods of time. Also, the spare tire was labeled 'Temporary Use Only'. I'm certain that the spare tire/wheel in the trunk was NOT a full size one. Most newer cars, even Lincolns, do not have so much room to spare that they can have a huge deep wheel well in bottom of trunk to house a full size spare. The interior is nice looking but not a big fan of that exterior. The 'split winged' grill with Lincoln [+] in the center reminded me of and Olds Cutlass or Regency from back in the mid 80's. And the style was just missing the point of a Lincoln (especially for one replacing the Towncar). A Towncar was not meant to be sporty. It is a luxury touring sedan that eats up bumps, potholes, and road imperfections and glides on air while in the solemn silence of a university library. I enjoy your videos. RIP Lincoln TC you are missed.

    Heated steering wheel is in my cousins 2013 Lincoln MKS. Why are you say it only came later on in other lincolns .

      I was comparing that feature to a Town Car like - heated steering wheels came on models after Town Cars. I had it in my 2010 Lacrosse and loved it also.

    yeah the Mercury brand was ditched and they always had a Mercury sable in the Ford Taurus so with Mercury gone they decided to make a Lincoln version of the Taurus

      Overall it's not too bad. Just wish exterior was a bit more traditional.

      It's not too bad of a looking car. I'm not a big fan of that split grille, but sa they say - it's all in the eye of the beholder.

    It looks like the Taurus inside. They did a good job to make it look different from the outside but I don’t like the styling at all. I did have the old Ford sync in my old F-150 truck and it worked flawless. So not all of them lagged. Maybe they never updated this one.

      @VitaliyKofman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment. You think that the inside is Taurus, but I think the outside is :) The bottom line, it's a Taurus with a price premium :) After I played around with the Sync system, I learned that it required a very precise press and a little patience.

    5 Likes and 3 Dislikes so I would like to ask the "dislikes" what is it that you don't like? Is it the car? Me talking? Poor video skills? Something else? Constructive criticism is always welcome :)

      Replying to myself to make this go away from my dashboard :)

    Vitality, don’t fret the dislikes - remember that a big part of TH-cam are the young and immature. So unless you are hooning it up with crazy tire spinning burnouts they are not “entertained.” You have a good manner, not all videos get many likes unless you act crazy or do stupid things

      Thanks Thomas! I'm not loosing any sleep over dislikes, but am curious what makes someone click "dislike" If it's something I can control = happy to improve. If it's something beyond my control = so be it :)

      I would say the first thing is just to have fun with your TH-cam video hobby. If you want to attract a larger audience then maybe upgrade your camera and get really good at video editing. You could also develop a stage personality like Scotty Kilmer - but I suspect that Scotty may be the result of overuse of medications. I like the Lincoln Town Cars, I own a lower mileage highly optioned (Moonroof, Carriage Top, Designer chrome 18 spoke wheels) Cashmere 2006 Signature Limited. To me it is a modern classic with a style that will age very nicely.

      @@Thomas63r2 My plan is to continue this as a hobby and only start investing into equipment, software, etc. if I ever make anything off it. I will probably upgrade my Galaxy Note 9 mid August so there will be some improvement. I love Scotty Kilmer, but prefer to stay behind the camera and don't have the in depth knowledge to just talk facts about everything. Designer Town Cars are an absolute dream of mine and maybe some day will own one. I love those carriage tops, but living in a condo without garage, that thing would get destroyed in 5 minutes :)

    Personally, I take the Town Car. It's much tougher and reliable, and has a V8. Plus, the Panther are the last body on frame cars.

      You and probably everyone else :)

    Not sure why the MKS flopped so bad. Only thing the Town car really has over it is a smoother ride. People say "oh the tc has a v8" yep, bout the slowest money can buy. The 3.7 is very proven and capable and the 6 speed it's mated to was just fine as well.

    Thanks for sharing it. Do you think mks has the same reliability as town car ?

    • @VitaliyKofman
      @VitaliyKofman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think overall it's OK, but these engines and transmissions will probably not last as long. Also, too many electronics inside compared to the Town Car so just more things to break.

      They are all good cars if taken care of. The Town Car is an older type luxury meaning pure comfort. The MKS are also nice and run hard. The MKS has an option for a 3.5l twin turbo that has decent horsepower. The V6 is better on gas and the MKS has more speed than the town car. But the town car is still nice. Yes, the MKS can have a few minor electrical issues. I've had a Lincoln MKS that I sold with 186,000 miles that was still running strong. Just had issues with touch screen and dash would short off and on.

      They are better on the 13-16 but they're still nice on the older ones. Town cars were beautiful but it was time for change

    Luv the interior and it's real wood with a lot of clear coat finish on it. You need to do better research next time you make a video about a car

    • @VitaliyKofman

      Thanks for the comment! Not sure what you are referring to? I remember mentioning some good and some bad aspects on the exterior and interior. I generally just talk and express my opinion and share experiences vs conducting in depth research. Although quickly looking up the car prior to filming is not a bad idea.

      I don't remember what exactly I called crap, but in any case my opinion is formed from either personal experience or simply that - my opinion. Everyone is welcomed to disagree and like my intro says: constructive criticism is always welcomed.
