Outside of the south, women get seriously offended at being called ma’am. It seemed to imply age, yet down here, calling anyone sir or ma’am is just respectful no matter what the age.
I think it is so smart that you video tape wherever you go when traveling because it adds an extra layer of safety and protection for you Joy. You are inspiring to me because I suffer from severe anxiety and agoraphobia, its a struggle for me to leave the house and get out of my comfort zone. You are so brave and beautiful.
That lady who helped you cover match has obviously been trained or somehow educated herself on the proper way to guide someone . That was so cool! Without hesitation!
I hope someday I can be confident like you are Joy. I’m blind myself and I’ve honestly been sheltered all my life and the education system really left me behind, but I do plan to go to the training center in the future once I’ve learned coping skills and all that in therapy. I’ve been through a lot in my life, and I don’t want to live at home forever and I want to be confident and be independent. Your videos give me inspiration to do that and makes me feel better about my future. Anyway, this was really fun to watch and everyone was just so nice and helpful!

You should send his video to the hotel so they can make some changes to make the buttons more accessible to blind individuals. I could easily see why it was a challenge for you to find.
Wow! The help was excellent there! I'm curious about something. Do you use a straight cane? I never heard you collapsed it when you get into the Uber. Great video. You always inspire me to go outside of the box.
I'm just curious, are the workers in that hotel specifically hired and trained to assist blind people specifically for that event? Not to sound like a pessimist but everyone was so nice and polite.

Forgot to ask but how do keep your money or cards safe when you're alone 🤔? I like to keep my money or cards in my "treasure chest" when I go to places with lots of crowds 😆
I absolutely adore the hospitality of “yes, ma’am”. Its such a subtle display of respect. I never hear that here in NYC.

How do you know when the uber is correct. Here in australia the app tells us the rego plate number of the car so we look for that.
