First show I ever went to was at the long-gone Granada Theater in Chicago, to see Funkadelic on the One Nation tour in 1978, when I was 16. I was the only white boy I saw there, but for once that just didn’t matter.
I can’t believe it took me 24 years of living to find out about these guys. This stuff is incredible.

It was just pure talent.
