  • In this video, Site Inspections showcases a handover inspection where a Concretor has wrecked the brickwork while repairing the concrete works. Despite the builder's attempts to rectify the situation, the damage is extensive and requires significant repairs.
The video captures the moment when the builder calls the Concretor to discuss the damage and potential repairs.
This interaction provides valuable insight into the challenges faced in the construction industry and the importance of thorough inspections and proper repairs.
The video also highlights the crucial role that Site Inspections, play in ensuring quality workmanship and protecting the interests of both builders and homeowners.

Listen to that dodgy guy on the phone saying he’s not coming back to fix it cuz he “lost money on this job”.. How brazen. Bad luck u lost money, if u r a shitty tradesman who damages others’ property either u fix it or don’t ever work in this industry again

Dude at some point surely you'll just get given a TV show, it's half horror, half comedy thanks to your commentary. But it would be great to see this stuff on TV so people know what to expect/look out for as well as bring more accountability to the industry.

Great video again mate. This is so good for people to be seeing what is happening out there. No part of the build should ever be damaged by another trade if they are doing their job correctly. That concreter should lose his licence.
👍 Thanks again for what your doing mate

I'm a bricky and i can tell you if you want those chipped bricks fixed properly e.g. remove chipped bricks and replace with new bricks, that is not an hours work, that is days of work

Hey mate, love the videos you put out! As a bricklayer, I know those bricks chip easily. There has been times where the acid cleaner has had the pressure too high on the pressure washer and blown the face off the bricks. This may be the case with the bricks above, but looks like the concreter may have done some damage too 😳

People saying the builder pushing the concreter to do it even in the rain, this is no excuse. If the concreter was worried about it being poured in rain and the builder pushed he should have put liability if it didn't go well onto builder. That way if it doesn't work then the builder pays him to come back and re do it. That would be the standard response from a good tradie.
Issue is he's done it cause he's in a rush trying to get as much work done as possible. I doubt he got pushed to do it. Just a sign of the substandard quality of "tradies" being used cause their the bottom dollar quote. These people give all tradies a bad rep and builders should realise that it will cost them more to fix the issues than if they just took the time, hired quality tradies and did it right in the first place.

I've seen countless videos of you saying non complaint works and no explanation on how they would go about fixing it!! 🤣🤣
There's been some major fuck ups in some of your videos and I've always wondered how expensive some of these costs much be to fix. I.e concrete issues, brick issues, no water stops in bathrooms, undersized box gutters etc

There was a company that would colour match any bricks using hand mixed epoxy? to permanently colour masonry to match existing brickwork - may be able to do something similar rather than chop out bricks.

Those bricks are a nightmare to clean without some sort of damage. I’ve refused to use them on certain jobs where the traffic passing them gets busy as they chip so easily. And once chipped they have to be removed which then makes matching up a total and utter nightmare. The bloke on the phone is an arse “ I’m not coming back “. Come back and fix the damage you have caused or fight your corner on why it isn’t your fault.

Communication wrt the concreter seems is suspect. The Concretor claimed rework due to rain.
Still seems the Concretor needs to rectify works. Persuading him seems unlikely.
Just shows how supervision while works are in progress is essential

How would you argue that the added capping/flashing is not satisfactory? It technically meets the requirements, but the execution and workmanship is poor and will lead to issues in the future.
