      Hey Jim! Ted confessed to me in his video post comments that the bugs weren't real. They're just CGI bugs inserted into the video for effect. HAHAHA!! Great episode.

    This was some spectacular white water footage , loved the ice canyon that was amazing and the seals so cute so curious what a wonderful sight that would have been to see them in their natural environment . different kinda of landscape up there for sure toughly enjoyed this how blessed you two are to be on this adventure Plover eggs possible.

I know what one bear can do to a man in seconds,I would never go in the woods without protection against a bear and a asshole who hates guns,GUNS ARE AWESOME!     Jim, I have been watching this adventure on my smart TV so haven't been liking and commenting.
    I have done a lot of back country canoeing but what you and Ted do on this trip is really special.
    I look forward to every episode, to see country I will likely never see in person, and to enjoy how honest and forthright you are about the hardships and joy a trip like this can bring.

      I will, thanks a lot for watching and for the great comment too. It was an amazing trip! I’m getting out on a long and remote trip again this year but it’s not going to be as long as this one, 25 days not counting travel. I hope to get out on more long ones like this in the coming years.

      Nice, ya it was a caribou antler as there are I elk here but man, they charge a lot of antlers at the pet shops and dogs definitely love them.

    When I used to hike in high country we used a piece of fiberglass cloth to cover gas from wind. It is light. It does not burn. After putting the pot on, just wrap around everything. It boils very fast. It was a very important piece of equipment. Without it sometimes impossible to cook anything.

      Nice, ya they’re important. Often stoves come with them, like a circle of foldable aluminum I’ve used before too.

      That would be amazing and often people traveled up river by canoe too, or walked up when it froze in winter, built canoes in the hush in spring and ran them back down.

      @@JimBairdAdventurer Dude we got a tough one planned for August called the Kings Canyon High Basin Route. Mostly off trail and above tree line.
