- Spend a long weekend with me, and follow along as I work on multiple projects, visit a local quilt shop, and obviously buy some fabric from said shop.

Your husband is a gem! What a wonderful Mother's Day celebration he gave you. Your dress toile looks great. Can't wait to see the finished product!
He really is! He supports this hobby (obsession) so much and is my biggest cheerleader, along with my Mom.
The dress turned out mostly well! Lining seams up in the back was HARD, and I’m very thankful it was the back of the dress 🫠

I’m bound and determined to find easier ways to do things, and for some reason I’m convinced my serger will have the answer 😂
I had a great day and the trip to the quilt shop was SUCH a best surprise. The man knows I have simple (slightly expensive) needs 😂

I’m still trying to finish up the dress today and the zipper isn’t going in as nicely as I want it to, and it somehow ended up way too big? I should haven’t started this project earlier 😂🫣

You fixed the cushion zipper wonderfully! Of course I love creating from scratch, but I also love that I can repair almost anything that needs re-sewn. My husband and teenage son are so impressed and appreciative that I have quickly and easily fixed so much stuff over the years that otherwise would have been unwearable/unusable. Of course I have told them a million times that not everyone is lucky enough to have someone who can do that 😊

The decorative stitching isn’t super noticeable on the dress, but I like knowing it’s there! I need to use a more contrasting thread next time I think
Yes! I love being able to repair things. As long as they are projects of my choosing, that is lol. I need to google how much a replacement cover would be, because I definitely saved us money and it was faster than ordering something would have been too!

Love this style of video! So glad you got to focus on your sewing and make plans to attend a local sewcial! Also that elastic foot will come in handy if you ever wanna work on making a bathing suit or active wear!

OOOH I want to make N6728 too. So cute. Pajamas are so cute. I love the serger work. Maybe style your top untucked with straight leg jeans. That will be a more balanced look. Your hubby is a keeper. Congratulations on your social.

@@ErinSews Awesome! Generally I noticed the most attractive outfits have balance and flatter most figures. Divide the body in half at the waist. Either full on top and narrow/fitted on the bottom or fitted on top and fuller at the bottom. Your shirt is fuller on top and perfect to pair with straight leg jeans or leggings. For example you could have a more fitted knit top paired with baggy jeans or cargo pants. It's all about balance. Just my opinion. Have a great week Erin!
