Sunrise Seto runs daily between Tokyo and Takamatsu on the island of shikoku and the Sunrise Izumo runs daily from Tokyo and Izumoshi. When they travel to Tokyo they both stop at Okayama and join together to combine both 7 car trains to one 14 car train and on the reverse journey they split at Okayama and go there seperate ways you have to make sure when they split your on the right side otherwise you could go to the wrong destination.

The Sunrise Express 285 series!!! The last overnight sleeper train in Japan... I REALLY hope i can be able to ride it at least once before it retires.....
Was that the deluxe Single room?
One should really wait at the platform for the carriage number for your room, walking through those coridors and steps are surely a big work out!
The sight at Okayama station (beyond Osaka) is pretty neat too, to see the trains couple (towards Tokyo direction) or un-couple (towards Takamatsu/ Izumo shi)

Thanks Rion for another good video. Love to try this Sunrise train once, Will love to hear your views on Olympics as the media is reporting that a lot of Japanese is against it due to the pandemic and I am quite confused why the IOC insist to have it.

I really like how the train looks very comfy, the night travel is really good, I bet day time train travel would be very nice as well. But night travel is probably nicer for me, and the time lapse edit tho it's lit😊😊😊

Arigato, Rion-san for this video. Its another refreshing piece you have shared here. For me, riding trains in Japan will remain a dream, but at least you made it halfway for those of us who can only dream of being there. At least I have your "teribi" here through my internet in Manila. Again, thanks for being our virtual tour guide to Nippon, Rion-san!
