The shower card fiasco was so funny 😂
"Spam and rice don't go well together."
Hawaii would like a word...
😂lol Puerto Rico would like to chime in here as well 🙋♀️ I personally don't like spam at all.. but spam or hot dogs, rice n eggs is very popular in PR..a lot of times the spam is diced , fried n then added to yellow rice dishes..I just prefer to use real ham though.
No matter how many times I see the train, the Sunrise Express always impresses me. Such an amazing train, that I want to take myself one day. Also, no matter how many times I see that yummy bento box, I tell myself "I could live off those" lol the beef tongue and rice looked very yummy as always, and made my mouth water. The night views of going through the city is amazing in the dark. I think I'd end up staying awake just to see it all, and sleep very little! Thank you for another wonderful and amazing video, it calmed my anxiety so much after a very bad and very anxious day. Stay safe and wonderful, in your travels, dear friend and see you soon!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad the video could bring you some comfort. The Sunrise Express and that delicious bento are indeed highlights. Looking forward to sharing more adventures with you. Take care and see you soon!
Thank you for your kind words to my favorite youtuber. You always welcome to this Channel. Also, noticed your a member.
Thanks for keeping the video silent with no talk or music. Very peaceful to watch.
18:30 "Not blue meth, but salt".. aww man, Walter white would be sad to know this lol 😂
I've been watching your channel for several months now, and every video makes me want to go back to japan
That's wonderful to hear! I'm thrilled to inspire such a love for Japan. Thanks for sticking with the channel and sharing the good vibes!
Spam and Rice go very well together.
Watching shinkansen should be considered as one of the most beautiful and rare views in the top 100 Japan views 😂❤
Absolutely, it's such a stunning sight! Glad you appreciate it as much as I do. 😂❤️
Almost to 300k! Keep it up! Let’s keep going! Subscriber foreverr ❤️🇯🇵🌙
Your humor is always on point in these videos! It's cool that I can giggle at something and not a word is spoken!
It's also endearing that you always pick up a sweet treat! Thanks for sharing all the different snacks! Sorry that Spam rice ball didn't work out 😂
Thanks so much for enjoying the humor and treats! I'm glad you're having fun with the videos. Haha, yes, the Spam onigiri was quite the adventure! 😂
Hey thanks for this amazing video!! I have no words to say about the travel comfort and beautiness of Japan!!
It is a small request, for the next video would you go to some country side in Japan and explore there!!!
Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. Exploring the countryside sounds like a great idea for the next video. I'll definitely consider it!
Just to let you know I eat my cheetos with chopsticks 😂😂😂
That’s a brilliant idea! Keeps the fingers clean, right? 😂 Thanks for sharing!
@@experience_japan yes!!!
Same! And my fam thinks I’m crazy but hey, clean fingers!
I was waiting for that shower card in the amenities bag. 😂 I saw another traveler do the same thing. Don’t worry though, I believe the card you bought will work on a future trip. Don’t worry- you’ll hit 1 million one day. ✌🏼
Haha, that shower card was quite the anticipation! Glad to know I'm not the only one. Thanks for the encouragement, I’m sure it will come in handy on a future journey. Here's to reaching that million! ✌🏼
Well, to be honest: I sneak around your channel and I‘m loving it. It‘s like to be on holidays w/o leaving home. THX for having me on board and pls keep the good work up 👍
Love these videos thanks for sharing your experiences with the world. We appreciate it
Thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos. It means a lot to me that you appreciate them!
Legend at his craft. 🫡🧐
It's a perfect video. I loved it very much. Thank you for this fun experience 👏🏻✨🤎
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. Your feedback is very encouraging! 🌟
Thank you for these excellent videos! They are so relaxing yet humorous in some parts - perfect to watch after a long day/week. Good luck on your 1M subscriber goal!! :)
Thank you for the new video!
A lovely video. It's late at night here in New Hampshire, and the train bed looked very good! Also the bento box! I often eat with chopsticks because it's good to challenge your brain and dexterity by figuring out and doing unfamiliar tasks (I think, anyway). Eating rice - even from Asian restaurants-is often problematic, because it's not sticky. I love a nice sticky rice...
Off to bed, to dream of eating rice with chopsticks while sitting on a cozy train bed...
Thank you. Until next time, be well and happy!
Thank you for sharing your nighttime thoughts with us! I’m glad the train bed and the bento caught your eye. I agree, using chopsticks can be a fun challenge! Take care and dream sweetly of sticky rice.
This was a wonderful video. You have a great sense of humor! Here is a 👋 ,hope it makes up for the lack of one earlier ; )
His videos are just perfect 👌
I enjoy long distance rail travel too although I find it so calming and relaxing that I find it difficult to stay awake!! Thank you for the wonderful video, such a pleasure to share in your journeys.
Thank you for your lovely comment! I'm glad to hear you find rail travel as calming as I do. It's wonderful to share these experiences with you. Happy travels!
16:20 yes! Shower before bed and another in the morning!😊
Your videos are always so tranquil I love them. Though they always make me hungry or at least peckish when I see the food you buy. Thank you for sharing your travels with us ❤
Keep your shower card, you never know! 😊
I always love watching your train videos! They are so relaxing
Glad you like them!
I love the sunrise express! Thank you for taking us on this wonderful trip on this special train!! 💛💛💛
I'm so glad you enjoyed the Sunrise Express journey! Thanks for coming along on this special trip! 💛
Not going to lie, I’m always watching to see if I can find a glimpse of what you look like in all the reflections. Lol you do a great job of editing. And as far as Japan goes, everyone seems so respectful and courteous to one another. Something we lack over here. Lol someday I hope you do a video to introduce yourself. Your background and what led you to do these types of awesome videos.
Beautiful ❤
Thanks for another great video! I love seeing the different parts of Japan and how beautiful it is there.
Teetering on the 300K subscribers. Nearly there!
I love when you show us beautiful things through your eyes. The lake that view of the red bridge and the blue sky with some clouds. Their beautiful all of them. If I been there I would wave back and smile.I honestly wish I could get my hands on a benton box, they look good and the way you eat them up they have to be good. When you got first class did they not tell you shower card came with first class.😅😅 . There is so much about Japan that I love now but so so much I don't know. Always waiting until the next. Hurry!!!😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm so glad you enjoy the views I share! It's always wonderful to know that the beauty resonates with you. And yes, the benton box is as delicious as it looks! Haha, I was surprised about the shower card too! 😅 There's always more to learn and love about Japan, isn't there? I'm hurrying with the next video, stay tuned! 😊❤️
I actually have watched the entirety of the journey from Tokyo to Izumo that someone recorded and uploaded to TH-cam.
It's fantastic as background noise and also as an actual movie to see just how diverse Japan really is between the big lights and hustle and bustle of Kanto Region, and the relative sparseness of population and buildings, and the more rustic, more natural scenery of San'in Region.
Of course, it's mostly night time when the train runs, so there isn't exactly much to see or write about, and especially between the major cities along the route,
but I see the value this train has in getting people to explore places that are a lot slower-paced than the major cities, and enjoy the time they spend in parts of the country where life is a lot simpler.
And the fact that the focus is mainly on getting to the destination, with the scenery being a bonus, truly adds to the experience.
It's a lot different to, say, Australia, where the main focus of the east-west "Indian Pacific" and the north-south "Ghan" is to enjoy the ride, more than being just a means of travelling and focussing on the destination.
That's mainly why even the cheapest ticket is $3,290 (roughly ¥337K).
There's a separated space where you can lie down and sleep, with your own door, much like the solo cabins in the Sunrise Express.
There are, of course, more luxurious options, such as having a whole room to yourself, much like what you've presented here.
There aren't any "nobi nobi"-style cars with just a space with a curtain to sleep in
(which is partially a good thing because then you don't have to worry about other people's snoring bothering you 😃,
but it's also partially a bad thing because it means ordinary Australians can't even leave their state no matter how much they want to 😭
Everything is focussed on the pleasure of the ride, and not the excitement of reaching that destination.
A "nobi nobi"-type car would be frowned upon immensely. It just looks like you're too much of a bum to afford some self-dignity - which I feel is completely NOT how the Japanese feel when it comes to travel is such arrangements, as long as you don't have a foul odour).
A more reasonable comparison would be the train between Sydney and Melbourne, which is roughly the same as the Sunrise Express in terms of distance and duration.
There are the options of:
- Economy: one seat on which you can recline back up to 28°, for $117 (¥12,000)
- First Class seat: one seat on which you can recline back up to 40°, for $164 (¥16,800)
-Sleeper: a bed, with access to a shower (which seat ticket-holders do not have the luxury of accessing), and a complimentary breakfast, for $271 (¥27,800).
Thank you!
Welcome!
You're so good at showing all aspects of these trains/trips. These videos are so calming and interesting, thank you!
Watching the many places to go to, and forms of transportations to get there, it is truly a beautiful country! Thank you very much.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the journey through the video. Hope to bring you along for more beautiful sights!
18:28 Thank you for clearing that up. 😆
Every video is so good, everytime i watch i fall in love again with this wonderful country
Great trip. It's been a while since your last trip taking Sunrise Express. My man got two shower cards by accident. Overall great room and great amenities for first class passengers
17:55 ahh man, the warming process is so cool.
just from pulling a string & activating it
side note, i need to learn to use chopsticks. i always frustrate myself
Isn't it amazing how that works? Glad you found it cool! And hey, practice makes perfect with chopsticks-keep at it!
You made laugh so hard when you said the water comes from... ... ... I don't know 😂😂😂😂.
Besides that, amazing video as usual 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Haha, I'm glad it made you laugh! Thanks for enjoying the video. Can't wait to share more!
Man that guy in front of you had an extremely tight jacket on
You made my day☺ Thank you😘
Another great video! And again loved seeing the japanese scenery. Keep up the great work!
Let's wish that you will hit 1 million subscribers in the future 🙏
Oh that experience of being paralleled with a shinkansen!😍 Wow! Your shot is beautiful.
Thank you so much! Being alongside a Shinkansen is truly a thrilling experience. I'm glad you liked the shot!
Thank you so much for your videos! I am coming to Japan in 3 weeks, I learned so much from you, can't wait to experience Japan for real!
I enjoyed this.
I missed the Sunrise Express.Great video as usual.Hope you had fun🙂.
That Shinkansen coming alongside was so cool!!!
I love those potato snacks, my favorite flavor is the Hokkaido butter flavor.
Amazing
Your channel is a favorite and always glad to see new episodes. I've gone back and enjoyed all your previous videos and hopefully make a trip to Japan and hope many rides on the trains and visit some of the sights you've shared. Great work on your presentations of each area and sharing the history. I have no doubt you'll make 1M+ subscribers.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm thrilled to hear you've enjoyed the videos and are planning a trip. I hope you have a fantastic time in Japan exploring all the places from the videos. Your encouragement means a lot!
You got some awesome veins.
I’d love to travel by train someday! I love your sense of humor! Great video! 😊
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Hope you get to experience a train journey soon! 😊
I love you Mr. Experience
You get a beautiful view, they gave you a shower card 😅, it's worth it ❤
Yes, the view and the shower card definitely make it worth it! ❤️ Glad you enjoyed it!
I hope one day I can move to Japan, from Indonesian ❤
Bonjour. Love this. From France 🇫🇷.
You got some high cheek bones my guy! Just saying looks nice 😂
Thanks for the compliment! Glad you noticed. 😂
Thank you.
Japan is unbeateble for the technology and transportation.
😂😂😂😂😂😂. OMG. There was already a shower card in the amenity bag. Well, you can keep it for a souvenir. Thank you for taking us with you on your journey.
Haha, that's a funny surprise! Now you have a little keepsake. Thanks for joining the journey, and I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Two shower cards 😂self warming bento box are amazing ,chopstick expert 👌 I hope you don’t get lonely 😘 thank you for the train ride 😉🥰
Thanks for your kind words! The self-warming bento box really is a neat invention. I’m glad you enjoyed the journey, and don’t worry, I had great company!
Love your videos and jokes 😂
I really enjoy trains. I appreciate your videos showing the advanced Japanese trains and the lovely scenery from the windows. I think many people may miss those views because they are watching their phones. Thank you for another interesting video.🥰 Also, is 23 your favorite number?
Honestly, if i ever visit Japan, i feel i’ll have hard time sleeping at all. I’ll be too excited and eager to explore places😅
It’ll be akin to starting a new video game, I just wanna see stuff 😂😂😂😂
I can totally relate to that excitement! Japan is indeed like a huge playground with so much to see and do. Hope you get to experience it all soon!
❤ awesome 💯 wish we had Bento boxes here in NZ and the cheap train travel, that would be great.
Soo love your videos.. i cannot wait september when i will tryvel to my favourite country, and this will be third time i travel to Japan :)
I'm amazed how quiet and smooth the trains are. The Amtrak (passenger trains in the USA) rumbles and sways all the time it's moving. I LOL that you didn't like the SPAM in the onigiri. Hawaiians love SPAM. I'm a mainlander and never learned to like it unless you slice it and fry it really well (almost burnt). What did you do w/ the extra shower card: get a refund, use it the next time, sell it? I would've used it to put 6 minutes more on a shower.
It’s really something how different train experiences can be around the world! As for the SPAM, tastes certainly vary. Regarding the shower card, I saved it for next time-always good to be prepared!
15:58 Haha! The comedy hands strike again - so funny 😂 ...then I felt bad because the shot ended up going back to dwell on the twin card misery 😭 ps Just finished watching the rest of the video and loved it (as usual). Your dry humour and comedy timing suits the subtitles perfectly and you got me chuckling a few times ..!(edit for typo)
I just love how clean and well maintained these Japanese trains seem to be.
My country has similar overnight trains and from my experience they're in terrible condition because passengers don't show the respect. Grafiti, scratches and stickers everywhere, the floors are dirty and the toilet is something you try avoid at all cost. :/
Westerners has a lot to learn from Japanese culture.
It's great to hear you appreciate the cleanliness of Japanese trains. It's unfortunate to hear about the conditions of overnight trains in your country. Respect for public spaces can indeed make a big difference. There's always something to learn from each other's cultures!
you can say you got a First Class Shower Card as a souvenir
❤
👍
Those automatic warming meals are so amazing! I dont know of anything like that in the states. Of course you can order them from Amazon etc but they are REALLY expensive.
Good morning, my sister is obsessed with your videos you do. She is requesting me to do a face reveal since your about to hit 300k subs .😁👌
The best for the snacks is fingers not chopsticks as you found out 😮. Well done on the bed making. No Spam not an ideal rice partner more pan with tomato ketchup
Thanks for the tip and the compliments! Using fingers can indeed be more fun for certain snacks. And good point about the Spam - there’s always something new to try with food combinations!
16:00 Now you can take two showers!
20:06 As a Swedish man living in Sweden, I always use chopsticks every time I eat potato chips or Cheetos-type of snacks....
Damn, they should tell you, when you're buying a first class ticket, all the amenities that come with it. That extra shower card could have gone to someone else. Oh well lol
Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, put the subtitles in Portuguese, I really appreciate it, thank you.
you know Japan's in the future when you pull ripcord and your food gets cooked. I don't ever expect this to ever happen in America😢 I did burst out laughing when I saw the other shower card😂 I live in a world where we don't have trains transportation so it would be completely alien to me but I do enjoy these videos.
Should have sold your spare shower card 😂
Thanks for the video. I will be flying to Japan in June and am highly considering the Sunrise Express. Do you have any recommendations for activities in Izumo?
Thanks for watching! The Sunrise Express is a fantastic choice. In Izumo, don't miss out on visiting Izumo Taisha, one of Japan's most ancient and significant shrines. Also, the Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo is great for history buffs. Enjoy your trip!
✌️✌️

hey at leas tyou got an extra shower card for the nexttrip.
You’d think they would have enough shower cards for everyone.
Will you be able to show us how to book these tickets please?
You can now take two showers (evening and morning) or give one away.
I’ve been meaning to ask you something.
I’m learning Japanese, and currently is the topic of travel, trains, platforms, that sort of thing. One of the words I’m being taught is のりかえ. It translated as “transfer”, but what does it mean in terms of travel by train? I’m very confused. If you could explain, I’d greatly appreciate it

How much for a person? In yen
The total cost of the ticket and reserved seat ticket was 29,290 yen ($195).
