    When I was in the city, I literally saw a group of women walking barefoot while in their swimsuit bra. I asked my Aussie friend and he said, "Not really. Probably bogans." And then I googled search and I was like, "Oh...a female Chav."
    And yes...I found a redback spider weaving its web under one of the pool lounges that I was sitting on. And my aussie friend carefully placed the critter inside a glass jar and set it off in the woods and he was so calm and even spoke to it and said, "Mate, please don't come back to my house. Thanks." I was like, "Bloody hell...This country's going to kill me."

    • @laetitiabailey-mortimer8532
      @laetitiabailey-mortimer8532 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're unlikely to die from a redback spider bite (especially if you treat it properly - start with an ice pack on it, go to hospital if needed) but they can be pretty painful. Sydney funnel-web spiders, on the other hand...

      I think in a lot of countries during Summer you'll come across guys and gals in their togs or something barely beyond the definition of underwear. In fact I think it's worse in cold countries because during the few days it's actually hot, everybody wants to act like they live in tropicália and wear next to nothing while sunbathing in the park.
      In Australia when it's hot, I just want to stay indoors in the air-conditioning, because hot days are a dime a dozen. And when I do go swimming, I wear boardies and a rashie because the sun's too powerful to leave much skin exposed.

    One of the most annoying stereotypes for me is attracting racists who look at our government's treatment of asylum seekers and think that's a good thing. I get tired of explaining to them that I'm not a racist and I don't support our government policy of mandatory everlasting detention. We do have freedom of speech in Australia and yes we do criticise government policies frequently and that's one of the policies we do criticise. I've had quite a few people back off from me because I'm apparently the 'wrong' kind of Aussie, which is cool for me because I don't need those kinds of mates.

    Can someone tell me if spiders are that common in Sydney and Melbourne

    • @robman2095
      @robman2095 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jasmine Ali Most houses in Sydney will have a few spiders around but the only spider people are still genuinely afraid of is the Sydney funnel web spider. It is amongst the 10 most venomous in the world and has been known to kill a child in less than 15 minutes. However no one has died from its bite since they developed an anti venom, so if you get bitten by one you just need to get to the hospital quickly.

    Is "Kill Me Three Times" considered social realism, or is it a little over the top?

    As a single straight American man who is looking for a foreign girlfriend, the question i have is this,
    Are Australian Women Unique or Are Australian Women Special?
    If you're Australian please let me know in the comments down below

    Honestly I recon there aren't many bad stereotypes about Australians. The convict thing is about as bad as it gets and I mean, nobody really cares (I'm Australian btw) and it's not like it's wrong anyway.

    When you see they are sledging, cheating and using sandpaper in cricket, without any doubt you can say that they are "Aussies."
    Aussies are famous for their cheating here in my country.
