    This is all so true, Eric! A few months ago I started carrying with me two pocket notebooks (a lined one and a dotted one) and keep them in my hands during my commuting to work on the train (which is when boredom usually hits and I scroll on social media), and I replaced that toxic and useless activity with writing on my lined notebook and drawing on my dotted one... It's unbelievable how my brain reacted to this small change: more attention, less brain fatigue, and a lot of new ideas for my YT channel flourishing out of a 'normal day' train ride, just simply living in the moment, observing and noticing life happening! :) Thank you for another great and useful video!

      Even though I enjoy the animals videos, but it’s so true about the brain fatigue. I feel mentally exhausted from scrolling through many “useful” videos.

      So stoked to hear that Carlo! I find public transportation such a great time to come up with new ideas. Whenever I fly, I feel like my notebooks get filled real quick haha. I appreciate the kind words man!

    Thank you, I’ve always associated note books with to-do lists, not just to write down my thoughts.
    This could help me with some of my stress.

    Hey Eric, what you're saying is 100% true, it feels so good to put your phone down and just be present for some moments!
    Btw, what are some of the biggest problems you faced while learning how to write?

    • @ericpfohl
      @ericpfohl  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So true Arthur! Hmm, I'd say one of the main ones for me was consistency and overcoming perfectionism when sharing my work.

      @@ericpfohl Hey Eric, thanks a lot for your answer! I've asked many writers the same question and consistency was one of the most answered ones!
      Do you mind sharing more on how did you overcome it, or what do you suggest others do to overcome it?

      If this happens to me I doodle.. just draw lots of tiny circles or stick men, or anything. If a sentence comes to mind right it down, if not it doesn't matter.

    I’ve been hearing a lot about commonplace books on TH-cam lately, which to my understanding seem to be small personal reference books for noting bits of information, quotations, and one’s own thoughts and ideas for future reference. Your notebook idea seems to be a combination of commonplace book and personal journal. Is this true?

    • @ericpfohl
      @ericpfohl  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes you are correct! I typically mix up my uses for my notebooks, and most of them end up being a mix :)

      Haha I know it’s ironic! I find it’s best to remind people where they’re already at! Plus, I’m not opposed to phones - just the misuse of them with without realizing it :)
