Ling has so much life in her eyes!! She truly looked grateful for the donations and didn't forget the ones who supported her 4 years ago, she's such a good kid!! She knows her parents work hard to earn money and doesn't take anything for granted, even the chicken which was a rare treat. A lot of people could learn from her character! A very deserving person. Thank you to all the donors for helping Ling and her family!!
It is nice to see Ling appreciated the hard-earned money from the donors. Ling knows how hard it is to earn money and that is why she was overwhelmed.

The house is kept clean and tidy. A simple backyard for cooking, raising chickens, growing bananas and making rice wine. The grandma makes moonshine 'to sell to the Russians'. The father has been out fishing and the mother is doing odd jobs. An image of a family making ends meet dignifiedly. See how she goes about being a useful pair of hands in the home without having someone to tell her. The way she puts the cooked chicken to her nose and enjoys the aroma so appreciatively tells us that many of us take the basic meat we have for granted. The family only have chicken on special occasions. Troy is understandably excited meeting Ling whom she has not met since her 11th birthday. The mat where they sit to eat looks like the same one the last time Troy dropped by. Time flies. Ling has really grown up.
She deserves the money, she was more happy to see Troy than receiving the $$$. Nice girl.

I'm so glad to see Linh again. Such a sweet, humble and smart kiddo. She's prob my fav person from the people that Troy has encountered and she's just so great.

Shocked at how tall lingy is! Growing up to be a pretty young smart lady. This group of kids with Lan and mum is one of my favorites story's.

Very glad to see that Ling hasn't lost that bubbly and carefree personality that we all witnessed several years ago. Ling is a lot like my niece :). Not camera shy and always with a sweet smile that'll just melt your heart away!

Great video. Can see the sparkle in her eyes seeing Troy again. Great doing a follow up and hopefully can catch up with some of the others. Observing the house at the start one might think they are well off, but later in the video when learn they sell chickens for rice and only have chicken on special occasions puts things in perspective. Nice that she is not only thankful for current donations, but thankful for donations from years ago.

Wasn’t following you when you first met her but watched some of your old vids and she and her friends seem to be great kids. Nice catch up and great donors who ask you to dispense funds as they request (like I did).
If people want you to support other causes as they feel that because Ling is fortunate enough to live in a house with a fire for a cooker she isn’t deserving they should donate then!
