Great topic man…congrats! so far you are the only person to go in-depth about reservoir. Bought my 09 avant a bout a year ago and previous owner gave me a new/used reservoir and pump because there was none installed but didn’t want to tackle it without a reference. Definitely interested in seeing an installation of res and pump.

Nice ride. Have an 08a6 avant slime with leaking fluid canister. Just out of nowhere. The car just sits in the garage .

Hi mate, thanks for the advice, same thing happened with my b8 A4. Please can you show us how to remove the bottle? Thanks

My sensor indicator kept showing 'refill windscreen fluid', I thought the sensor needed replacing so had my mechanic replace it. All was fine for 6 weeks but now it appears I have 2 possible leaks from reservoir or cables...your video would be appreciated.

I'd sure be interested in how to remove this dang bottle without having to remove the fender!

Unfortunately I sold the car before I could make a removal video. But if I remember correctly there were two fasteners maybe T30 that you have to remove once you take the fender liner out. Removed the fill spout from the top by the windscreen. Unplug the electrical connections or just wiggle the pump out of the grommet in the tank. Definitely don’t need to remove the fender.

You can see the two Mount holes on the tank in the video. Hope that helps.
