I think this one is my favorite among the whole bunch of Cherubini's quartets. Thanks so much for uploading!

Thanks for putting all of these up. I think the last two were my favourites. Not much else to say about it - it's a good piece and more people should listen to/play it.

I am loving these Cherubini quartets!
I was hooked until I lost focus when he did his cyclical form movement call-backs in the development of the finale. Maybe it was a clever trick back then with Beethoven’s 9th and several others but this came across as a bit cliche/forced despite everything leading up to it. He really pulled me back in when he interrupted the coda in measure 210, he might’ve actually ended in A minor!
Wonderful piece, thank you for uploading it and the work you do

Beethoven was once asked "who is the greatest living composer, besides yourself?" Beethoven was perhaps not quite so egotistical as to declare himself as the greatest living composer (though he probably was at the time he was asked this question); still, his reply, after a moment of thought, was..."Cherubini!" Funny thing is, Cherubini did not seem to reciprocate this praise. I'm not sure what he thought of Beethoven's music as a whole, and would have to do more research, but he did call Beethoven's piano writing "rough" and Beethoven himself "an unlicked bear-cub." I myself, subjectively, hear some influences here from the late quartets of Beethoven and even some Schubert, but maybe that's just me.

Has anyone noticed how ugly (in modern sense) Is the passage of the second violin in the third bar: la-sol#-sol#-sol? It Is intended Just tò be unfriendly, acid, academic
