This gets my vote for most entertaining reaction of the year, BJ was on Fire 🔥 and knows how to get down and boogie! Thank you for the vibes and pls keep on dancing!! 😂 🕺
76 yrs old here...I was there!! It was magic when you got out on that floor!! Didn't sit down the whole night. But people were in different shape back then. We didn't eat as much junk food, no computers, cell phones or game boys, television was quite limited. People looked forward to getting out. We moved our bodies a lot more than folks today. You two looked great!
@@Marilyn-v9v You're speaking the truth, friend. Weekends were uniquely special; compared to how they're enjoyed now. The nightpeople of that time were different. They were "built" different.
They are perfect!! Asia, sometimes it is good to just absorb the music, like you are doing!! I have enjoyed you, two, immensely!! Thank you for great memories!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was a DJ---and THIS was the joint!! The extended version was over 10 min. long, and the dance floor was always packed. Please reviewBar-Kays: "Let's Have Some Fun".
the crazy and really genius thing here is that you both actually look amazing. you both look really good. I know it's in fun and tribute to the old days-but you could totally pull off this look. both of you. thanks for posting.
Pretty funny. You both looked and danced the part. Disco was very fast dancing back then. Super colorful sets, clubs and folks dressed out. It was a hip vibe with stylish clothes.
BJ has got it going on! 68 year old white woman here and this brings back the days me and my friend fequented the black clubs and enjoyed every minute. We were welcomed with open arms. The good old days!
I was too young for the disco clubs but I think the roller skating rinks and house parties made up for it. You can't beat the 70s and 80s for the fun of life.
I absolutely love those outfits!!! I am 64 years old and this brings back many memories on the dance floor. Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer, polyester suits, platform shoes and pork chop side burns!! Love it. Dancing with a reel to reel player with disco music loaded was the thing. Whew Hew. The EWF concert in Nov 1979 was a blast as well!
I lived in the 70's this music always had people up on there feet dancing I took the song "Don"t Leave me this way " to a CB club and there were seniors up dancing to it. A really great time to be alive in those days.
I lked PKAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC WHITE BOY WILD CHERRY 1976 , SHAKE SHAKE your booty by KC and the Shine Band the 70s had 1000s of great dancing songs i waz very thin as a teen and young adult in the fantastic 70s
Yep! This tune still has legs. I remember clearly that when this song started to play, so many people abandoned their drinks jumped off their chairs and ran to the dance floor.
Highly entertaining!! Thank you both, very much. I was 19 when Saturday Night Fever debuted. It changed my life, a small town boy from Saskatchewan, Canada. I loved disco and still do. You two are the best. : ) Feelin it!
There's no way if this was played at the discos you would not get on the dance floor. I had a lot of fun at the discos back in the day. That is where I met my wife. Asia and BJ you would have loved the 70's and the Discos.👀👀
Man I was too young to go to the clubs.... But old enough to remember seeing my younger aunties and uncles and older cousins get ready... Or have their own disco parties at the houses....the 70s was banging.... Growing up in Chicago was something different in the seventies and eighties... Great times....... So much creativity in that City at that time... Once disco left for us house music took over...... Parties everywhere!!!🎉🎉
Imagine powder blue leisure suits, clogs on your feet, wide bell bottoms, gold satin shirts! Everyone Dancing. Such good times! Nobody fighting, was great!
Y'all are so cute. Yep, I was there for it all. After Saturday Night Fever came out, there were discos everywhere. And it was about fun back then. We would dance for hours. My older brother was like the John Travolta, he was handsome and could dance. It was just as much fun as you might imagine.
If you watch the movie “Saturday night fever” you’ll hear the tramps an app singing this and many many other great tunes of the disco era and a good movie with the young John Travolta
This was such a fun song to dance to, I loved the disco era! Yes, my friends and I went to the Rasmataz all the time to disco dance, we loved it. Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer, Thelma Houston, Rick James, it was a blast! I love the way you two dressed up and got into this, you can bet we did. Another really good Disco song is "You and I" by Rick James, it's one of my favorites. Check it out!
I was turning 20 in 1976. In Illinois the Beer Age was 18, so they stamped a big stamp on your hand that said BEER. It was fun, and insane, and a once in a lifetime time. Mid 1970's Men's hair was the dry look. Women had big perms, or pixie cuts. The pants were all cut bell bottom on everything. Men had onesies called Jumpsuits(I had a denim one)(Awful). Everybody was wearing platform shoes. Mine cost $75.00 in 1975 (Today $443.00). Made me appreciate women's high heels. Every weekend hit the discos in Chicago warehouse downtown, and Northside. Gasoline was 50 cents a gallon. We'd pool our money, and have a full tank For Six Dollars. Drinks were 50 cent beers, $2.50 for a 64 oz pitcher;$1.00-$2.00 cocktails. White Castle cheeseburgers after disco were 15c ea, and a coke was 10cents. I danced this song so many times, probably 100 times.
"Disco Inferno" included in "Saturday Night Fever" movie soundtrack in a two vinyl record album set. Best use of the song I saw was in my high school (From 1977-1980). For a live on stage variety show performance, a group of guys in firefighter outfits line danced to the song with cigarette lighters as apparently permitted on stage use of fire.
I was in my 20s during the 70’s. We’d spend the entire night on the dance floor. Loved the soul of the 60’s, but the disco era was a blast! Kept us in shape for sure. Great outfits! 😆
This track is one of the very few disco tracks that ever made a mix tape or playlist of mine! Guilty pleasure ripping down a backroad, windows open, headed somewhere fun with this blasting!
🙂 OMG the two of you look great you bring memories you look exactly like we did in the 1970s it was a very fun decade. And, Afros are beautiful sometimes I let mine grow out. Thank you for goin retro with your attire for this wonderful song.
I went to the disco 3 or 4 nights a week. My sister and I were the first on the floor and the last ones chased out at the end of the night. I would have lived there if they would have let me. I danced all the fast songs and sat out the slow songs. It was magical. The floors would light up, the walls would light up, and of course there were multi-colored disco balls and silver disco balls that made patterns on the floor. We formed dance lines and strutted our stuff down the center. We rotated between 3 different discos. I lived next door to one of them. We had a special section that was roped off for our crowd. Those are some of my fondest memories.
I was in dance school during the disco era so did plenty of dancing and competitions to the music. Love this song. Next you need to check out an overlooked artist which is Edwin Starr. Start with Contact and H.A.P.P.Y. Radio
The Trammps had a great song called "The Night the Lights Went Out" , it was about the great New York City blackout and nine months later an unusually large amount of babies were born because all people had to do was you know what.
The songs were soooo long but you couldn't stop dancing. All your cologne was gone....sweat everywhere but it was awesome. You slept good whenever you got home😂😂😂😂
Went dancing every weekend and during the week when the club wasn't busy and the DJ would let us spin while he went out for a "smoke". Best time of my life!💃 🎶
And this was the radio edit. They played the extended version in Saturday night fever. I used to hear this on the car ride to grade school and it was a disco in that car
I was there 3-4 times a week and still worked! It was magical ✨️! The energy when they open the night with the most popular songs and this was one of them. Miss those days horribly but I will never ever regret them or forget them! ❤
"Burn, baby burn!" Maybe the ultimate Disco song. Maybe. There are so many, but this is at, or near the top of the list. Nice Disco outfits, and yes, people really did dress like that "back in the day". I saw it for real. LOL.
Yes Asia, I was there almost every weekend dancing to some of the greatest music ever created. It was such a great and freeing time and everybody got along.
Asia looks great and BJ is crushing that look! I can totally see the two of you showing up every week on the SOUL TRAIN!!!
Thank you!
