This beautiful video has become my go-to safe place when I’m having a panic attack. I’ve got a little lower back massager that I put on, roll on some lavender oil and I imagine I’m sitting on the end of that bed in this lovely room. I allow the anxiety to move through me, reminding myself that I’m safe, and It does the trick every time. There’s something about this room that’s so inviting and soothing and I love how cleansing the rain sounds. You can almost smell it.

The girl is an archaeologist who was assigned to do some research about a new site in the middle of nowhere. She was actually work with her team, but because she's the junior she was asked to go to the site earlier. (Un)fortunately, the rest of the team was stuck in stormy rain on their way to the site which made them spend the night at a rusty motel, while the girl was alone in her van reading journals about excavation, eating instant ramen, and drinking hot cocoa. The rain at the site was surprisingly calming, with no sign of storm. The young archaeologist finally fell asleep in the cocoon of warm knitted blanket her grandma gave her.
