I don't know why but when rain pours on the window even in real life when you are in your room feels so relaxing for some reason. It's like you feel safe and appreciative of the fact of having shelter and safety, and calms your mind hearing these soothing sounds. It can even help you feel sleepy and ready to go to bed. Your brain stops to overthink and worry and just stays at ease for a moment. It really is a comfortable feeling. Almost like ASMR from the weather.
There are some explanations that point to rain usually leading more people and animals to stay inside and shelter- leading to a much quieter environment outside. Furthermore, sunlight, although healthy- has a genuine energy boosting effect on our mind, while nighttime (or a lack of sunlight) does the opposite. A rainy day is the middle ground between these two. Just some interesting thoughts-

My son is 6 and he’s autistic, he sleeps every night to this particular video and sound. He grew up on the coast, by the ocean and we moved away 2 and half years ago. I have always loved rain and storms. As a little girl I would get in my bed and feel all safe and sound and listen to it and fall asleep. To this day I listen to rain and storm videos to fall asleep.

Rain was so hard tons of cars pulled over. Pitch black. Few lights flickering in the distance. And that rain cascading all my Dodge. Hooked ever since.

It’s one of the realist storm sounds I’ve have the pleasure of coming across. I think hugely to the fact that the speed of the rainfall actually changes as it would of it was falling from the sky. And The thunder Chanes distance and intensity 😃. It’s the one video I find myself coming back to every single night of the weeks and I’ve tried MANY over the years so I too am very impressed by this realistic sound sound effects 😴

I went camping in a tent last month and it rained all night with no thunder. Couldn't sleep well, but somehow this sound is more relaxing when I am now in my bed and nice and warm.

Absolutely agree with you. Whenever it’s raining in the nights, I take a blanket and pillow out to my car and I go lay in the backseat. If we hit droughts, I take this video out to the car and I pretend that it’s real rain. I’ve even stuck my phone up on the inside of the car roof so it sounds even more real 😂

You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨ •Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈 Reminder:After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. For me (and maybe other people) i think its the best thing mother nature gave us bc the rain is so calm and you can be yourself and being calm when your angry and put youre mind on relax and fall asleep(to me i always fall asleep in max 5 min ngl)

My thoughts exactly. I love being in my car with a good, wild storm goin on. Funny, never cared about it that much until I moved from NJ to WA State. Got stuck one night, coming back from camping. Rain was so hard tons of cars pulled over. Pitch black. Few lights flickering in the distance. And that rain cascading all my Dodge. Hooked ever since.

It’s one of the realist storm sounds I’ve have the pleasure of coming across. I think hugely to the fact that the speed of the rainfall actually changes as it would of it was falling from the sky. And
The thunder Chanes distance and intensity 😃. It’s the one video I find myself coming back to every single night of the weeks and I’ve tried MANY over the years so I too am very impressed by this realistic sound sound effects 😴
This brings back memories of falling asleep in the car when I was little...the warmth of the heater on my legs....the low murmurs of my parents in the front seat...the windshield wipers....lights wavering in the mist on the window....and we're home.....and I pretend to still be asleep so my dad will carry me into the house....

I went camping in a tent last month and it rained all night with no thunder. Couldn't sleep well, but somehow this sound is more relaxing when I am now in my bed and nice and warm.

I grew up in Ireland where it kinda rained a lot, so when I’m away from home these videos kinda bring me back
Interesting how, without the pillows, this image of the ominous foggy trees and wide windows looks like a scene in a horror film. And yet those big pillows completely change the tone and makes me feel safe and cozy 😴

Absolutely agree with you. Whenever it’s raining in the nights, I take a blanket and pillow out to my car and I go lay in the backseat. If we hit droughts, I take this video out to the car and I pretend that it’s real rain. I’ve even stuck my phone up on the inside of the car roof so it sounds even more real 😂

Checklist:
• A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨
•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈
Reminder:After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book.
