Chad Gracey is the reason I started playing drums 23 years ago. His style is sublime, understated and just natural. Every stroke and beat serves the purpose of the song. So hard to find any videos that showcase him. Many thanks for this. I'd love to see you cover Iris - especially the bridge section - where he does the 16 on the hi-hat.

This was AWESOME!! Live was one of my favorites when they came out. The late 90s was when I was graduating high school, moving out on my own, and moving out of state. This band helped me through so much by just listening to them. And you represented Chad beautifully 🙏😊❤️

Nice work dude! I’m playing in a 90’s cover band and this song is in our repertoire. I can only hope to play it as cleanly as you do here. I just want to comment on those cymbals. Hot damn! Those Meinl Byzance Vintage Sand cymbals are otherworldly. I’ve played all kinds of Zildjians (As, Ks, K Con), Sabian HHX Evolution, Istanbul Agop and so on, but the set you have right there is where it’s at. They sound incredible to my ears! They just have this intangible quality that is a straight shot of adrenaline. It brings a whole other dimension to the music. Bravo. Cheers and happy drumming!

I played it by ear.. I always listen to the drums and try to emulate it. Sometimes O use an app to slow things down for some minor details. Hope this helps. All the best.
