Very nice neon man... I wish I still had my 1997 sport 5 speed sedan... sold it for $550 lol. I now have a 1997 SOHC 5 speed and a 1999 automatic DOHC that I bought for $350 today.

@dylanmcown3d I got a 99' Neon R/T 73000 miles, with bolt-on mods. Its smokes alotttt shit. Still gets mid-high 30's mpg. Gotta run premium fuel on the DOHCs though
@NeonDude20 get a 91-96 scort gt...they are arguably one of the toughest blocks u can find ona car, and with some minor bolt ons you'll be keepin up with any other n/a 4's n most 6's out there trust me, or watch my vids, i just sold it because i got a dsm. Not a an of neons but my buddy is, and u have one of the better sounding ones on youtube, nice work.

it look very clean i have to give ya taht but mysefl i have a 97 with the sohc 5speed ac delete reflash on computor custom dual exhuast 2.25 inch k&n sport tuned intake (not no stupid short ram/ cold air) skunk 2 fuel rail venom injectors and an ebay high pressure fuel pump i have the head bored out .006 of an inch my intake manifold is costom fitted out of a 2004 srt-4 my outside looks like hell tho lol nothing doen and im runnign on stelies with silver doors off a 99 rest of its red
Racing a neon is like fighting a girl. If you win, you can't brag, and if you lose, you don't want anyone to find out. You can build a neon that runs 11s for under 6 grand and that includes the cost of buying the car.

AnglerofPa not terribly hard. Depends on your comfort level with working on cars. Just bolts in no real special fitment required. Oddly, the pedals took the longest due to the awkward working positiin.

I had two of em. Auto was a dog but the 5 speed was simply the best car I ever owned.
