A review of the Reborn-One Hundred (RE/100) Vigna Ghina from the anime movie Mobile Suit Gundam F91.
Trying out a more laid-back style so I can look at other kits, and to make videos a little quicker. There will be NO change to the format of Master Grade reviews. Those are fun challenges, but for other grades, why not take it easy?

- This felt like a 'throwback' review. Like a video I'd make 2 years ago. I didn't plan any cut-ins or try to anything new. This was just a "eh, whatever" kind of video, which is kind of the point. Those MG reviews take FOREVER, so taking a break to just make a video that I know isn't gonna be my best, was kind of nice.
- Still, this video took about 2 weeks to make. A lot of it was just being unsure of the format. I just kept changing the script, trying to figure out how I wanted to do this. Eventually, I ended up with a format almost exactly the same as my standard MG reviews... All that work to get back to square one lol. Main difference is more seamless transitions between parts.
- Audio was weird on this one. I actually recorded a full run through on a previous script, but when I changed the script I had to re-record. Then after editing I noticed a few mistakes, so had to re-record some of that. That’s the risk of doing things without much structure.
- Footage was weird on this one. Even though I did make a shot list, I just threw it away halfway through. The whole point was to make this video quick and easy, so I didn’t get anything specific. Just general B-roll stuff and figured I’d make it work in editing.
- I noticed the turntable footage is a little weak on this video. I think I had the exposure set too low, and the contrast didn’t seem right. When I recorded the articulation footage, which uses my old camera (my wide-angle lens only works on crop sensor…) I messed with the contrast setting in the camera itself, and AAAHHH~ it looks SO much better. Everything just has a soft, almost matte finish to it. Definitely going to mess with the settings on the main camera before the next review.
- Editing was pretty simple. It was a lot of “eh I have 20 seconds to fill, just slap in random action poses lol” Again, goal was quick and easy, and I had this edited in a night, so yea~ mission complete. I will say I had to back over a lot for cut ins. I didn’t plan for most of them, and wasn’t sure how much to put in, so there was a lot of back and forth.
- I’m not sure how I feel about the music. I mean I know I wanted to make it quieter. I think a MAJOR turn off of my videos is the background music. Not that it’s bad, it’s actually pretty amazing. I love it. It’s just that over the course of 10 minutes and 5 videos it gets repetitive. After watching some Half in the Back, I realized I needed to have it just faintly in the background. Just enough to cover room noise and fill out the audio space, but not enough that you could actually make out the melody.
- The song used in this video is actually the one used in the MG reviews, but slowed down and with some reverb on top to make it kind of vaporwave-y.
- I tried using a mask and blur when comparing the hatches on this kit. Not sure how it looks, but got some experience with masks, so can’t complain.
- The thumbnail is super lazy here, but that’s kind of the point. I need to find some way to distinguish these ‘casual’ reviews from the more in-depth MG reviews. Need to figure it out…

If you're thinking about getting into RE/100 kits, I recommend getting the Gundam Mk. III, Gundam Gerbera and Dijeh as they're also solid kits aside from the Zaku Kai and Gun EZ.

After seeing F91 and seeing this, it just makes me want more F91 kits. That aren't P-Bandai.
This video is probably the best RE representation I've watched on this site. I'd love to see you review more of em.
Have you ever thought about doing a painting tutorial or anything? I just started a few months ago, but painting is unknown territory for me.
This kit really surprised me. It was a fun build and I really like the color scheme. I enjoyed detailing it as well. A nice little kit for the price.
Good to see you branching out from Master Grades; are you planning to stick to RE/100 only? Or are you going to do other grades?
Thanks! I'm hoping to take a look at all kinds of grades. The RE/100 Zaku Kai and Gun EZ for sure, but I have quite a few HG's and RG's I could use, and even some ancient no-grades that could be fun. We'll see!
Great video as always. You're one of my favorite reviewers. Watching this video, I'm not missing the number scoring system. I don't think it's a strong point in your videos. Your clear, right to the details voice over, editing cuts, and inserted graphics are. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! It was kind of nice not having to rationalize a numerical score constantly lol I do think I need to keep scores going for MG reviews though, it'd be weird to just stop after 30 videos. But yeah, for these other grades, I'm really toying with just leaving scores off. Just makes the video more snappy imo

Vigna Ghina is basically a requirement for those who have the Gundam F91 since it allows seabook arno and Cecily fairchild to stand along each other in a dynamic display.

Honestly, I think you should branch out to doing proper reviews for different grades, honestly love your review style for the mg's as it's easy to follow, shows the kit and scores it well.
That being said I highly recommend the re 1/100 gp04, best re 1/100 and looks absolutely amazing with great articulation especially after you panel line it and add some of the larger decals
Thanks! I was thinking about doing scores for these, but really couldn't decide. Thankfully, the Re/100 line is too new for a real accurate scoring system anyway, so this one was kind of an easy decision. I'm thinking for HG's could have some kind of simple scoring system. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there lol

Bro! Me too, so badly its painful. One of my favorite ms designs yet it has no love sept that really old inadequate 1/100 kit.
@@catcrapinahat it's super badass, the weird grunts from Victory too and the most annoying part, they always use the Den'an zon in some way in Gundam Breaker games lol

I think this casual format works great. Just maybe add a little more detail. Seamlines or is the eye a clear part or a full on sticker. Stuff like that.

OMG, how could I miss this review when it got out... Have you ever built the Zaku II F2? I've been eyeing that kit for some time (it's my favorite Zaku design) but I'm weary of its age and engineering...

Can’t imagine how you would review the RG Crossbone, especially since...it’s a small boi
But for early UC, I’d like to see the RG Nu since I’ve built it and having no experience with the RG line apart from the Tallgeese, I can say that the Nu is a very good kit, a few complaints though, first being that the shoulder beam saber has a tendency to lose the short beam effect at the bottom and the problem with the beam effect is that the peg is very, very easily bent.
My second complaint involves the fin funnels, while they look good, they have a tilt to them when the kit is just standing due to them extending so far out.
The articulation is actually quite good and the inner detailing when you’re building is just as good as a master grade, it may even be better than it’s Ver.Ka equivalent.
But speaking of the Nu, I would like to see a review of the High Nu and Nu, Yes the original versions before their Ver.Ka remakes.
Also, will you be reviewing the FA ZZ when it comes out?
I also noticed that you’ve been mainly doing UC with some Future Century and After Colony, would be nice to see some Cosmic Era or Correct Century kits being reviewed like the Turn A since barely enough talks about that, and as for Cosmic Era, some niche Gundams like the Astray family would be nice but ignore the Astray Blue Frame Type D, too many swords, awkward sheathing mechanic, and I’m fairly certain that has no guns on it too.
