That way someone could sit and put their makeup on. I like using small benches and stools that store under tables and desks because they don't takt up room like a chair would💐💐

Ms Dainty. I discovered your channel a few weeks before lockdown in London when I had an idea to paint my lovely but rather old French Style bed and give it a new lease of life. I am so glad I googled chalk painting a bed and found you. Needless to say I didn't get anything done that day as I immersed myself in Dainty world and was totally entranced by how talented and creative you are. I think we Shabby Chic Vintage lovers are a special tribe. As I watched you regrout and tile a bathroom, sew a beautiful dress, build a playhouse (so beautiful) and take a solo trip to Morocco all I could think was why hasn't this beautiful and talented lady got her own show - it can only be a matter of time ! You are a testament to true hard work, talent and creativity. Of course it's all done with a large dose of Irish charm and a bit of Dublin Craic ( I am biased my lovely mum Peggy was Irish) Keep going Catherine - wonderful things await you and thanks for inspiring us. Beautiful room Catherine, I love pink, green and white as a colour scheme. I’ve just turned my spare room into a sun room/craft room. I got a second hand Laura Ashley metal day bed with a spare trundle bed underneath. I found the most gorgeous bedlinen and lots of cushions and I’m back in love with the room. The first thing I did was sleep in there with my little dog, Tottie! 75 days in isolation so I’ve got to get my kicks where I can 😆❤️🐞

You could use the head board to make a bench and it will be existing to see you making an outdoor bar. 😊 p.s. eyeing the binman, lol, but who am I to laugh, I've developed relationship with two pigeons and a squirrel that visit my balvony, 😂

It’s so pretty and cozy! Damn I’ve been putting off an IKEA order and now I just can’t anymore...the blanket is on my want list, now it’s a need! If you wanted to...I would add a shelf beside the pillows as a floating nightstand for guests phones, tablet or book.

I wish I would have seen this video when you first made it!! I absolutely love the pink colour of that blanket and would have picked one up had I known! I did not discover it until just before Christmas, so I have it in red, it ended up getting a pull from my puppy, so I went mid-January and Ikea Canada had it in a beautiful off white colour and last week I was there and it was in a lovely sage. Such a cozy and inexpensive blanket! I love how you decorated it in this room.

Eyeing up the binmen 😂 IKEA instructions are the worst... ordered a cheap sofa for the conservatory from IKEA and it was flat packed!!! It took me hours to build 🤦♀️ As usual, I loved the makeover and the fact you mostly repurposed items you already had just adds to the appeal 🥰 looking forward to the outdoor pub project
I cannot wait to get cracking on the outdoor pub, my uncle has some scrap wood that will cover the front, I hope the sun comes back for the garden pub x

Love the bed. Nice purchase. That room looks very similar to my daugther's room - she has the box room in our house with a huge monstrosity over the stairs that takes up a huge chunk of such a small room. It makes it impossible to put furniture in. Two pieces and it's overcrowded. And the bed orientation only works one day because of the radiator too. Aw, mental! Love what you've done to the room. Not easy but you did great. It looks very "Laura Ashley goes to France". I can imagine what the queues are like in the big smoke. We're not to bad where we are - small town. Did ya see the queues for mcdonald's? Aw jakers that was ridiculous. Countrywide.

I’d stay there in a heartbeat, but travelling from Canada will sadly be a long way off for us. Love this room, you make your diy look so easy. One small point I think the dome with your perfume in looks fab, but as this not a big table the flowers🌷 the dome and one small piece would look just as good , dispensing with the large pink trinket box 📦 just a thought.

Good evening Catherine, I absolutely love watching all your makeovers and especially love the country cottage look. Been catching up with a few of your different room makeovers as looking for some ideas, trying to decide what way to do my spare room, I don't want it as a bedroom as it was my hubby's room before he passed away almost a year ago in that room. I'm going for a multi purpose room as I have a large wool stash, along with all my knitting patterns, needles I also have my sewing machine, fabric stash etc, the room also has to be my office, and as I collect reborn dolls I need somewhere to display them along with the moses basket I have for 2 of them, and it's not the biggest of rooms lol. Well done!! This is the sweetest room, full of fresh floral motifs and comfy cozy corners. You’ve got a great eye for finishing a room just right. I’d stay there in a heartbeat, but travelling from Canada will sadly be a long way off for us. Use the space like a staycation spot....it will help you feel like you are changing things up and staying sane. Stay safe

Love this room, you make your diy look so easy. One small point I think the dome with your perfume in looks fab, but as this not a big table the flowers🌷 the dome and one small piece would look just as good , dispensing with the large pink trinket box 📦 just a thought.

Good evening Catherine, I absolutely love watching all your makeovers and especially love the country cottage look.
Been catching up with a few of your different room makeovers as looking for some ideas, trying to decide what way to do my spare room, I don't want it as a bedroom as it was my hubby's room before he passed away almost a year ago in that room.
I'm going for a multi purpose room as I have a large wool stash, along with all my knitting patterns, needles I also have my sewing machine, fabric stash etc, the room also has to be my office, and as I collect reborn dolls I need somewhere to display them along with the moses basket I have for 2 of them, and it's not the biggest of rooms lol.
