I've gone down on my bike, had my HJC Is Max II which ran me about $197 when I bought it so definitely cheap compared to that but I didn't even have so much as a headache afterwards, visor and helmet were all messed up. I'm not saying it's not worth it to get an $800 carbon fiber lid but for those limited financially... $150-$200 range does the job and if you go down replacing that lid is a lot more affordable on top of bike repairs and hospital bills. That said, get the best gear you can afford. Your helmet budget should be twice the cost of the helmet! No one plans to go down but if you impact you should replace it, not even the $800 carbon fiber lids are rated for multiple impacts.
Cheaper helmets pass the same test that’s required for DOT certification as expensive helmets and if expensive helmets are so much better please explain why the insurance companies do not give a discount on your motorcycle insurance for buying an $800 helmet
DOT specifications are like that story John Glenn told about being asked what does it feel like to launched on a rocket and he replies exactly how you would feel knowing you're about to be launched sitting on top of 2 Million parts assembled by the lowest bidder. Basically DOT certification employees bare minimum testing data in order to pass, uses smaller pool of helmets in it's tests and is woefully subpar compared to ECE or SNELL rated helmets.
@@CycleCruza if you add ANYTHING at all to your helmet you have defeated its design and purpose. Even a sticker. It can break you neck! Sure it will protect your empty skull, but you need an intact neck to keep your body functional ! I've sadly seen the results before.
Been watching you since I was a kid, and I remember being so hyped about one day being able to ride a motorcycle. Well I’m 21 now and I have a wonderful KLR650 that I use it to go to Uni and it’s the greatest feeling. You inspired me and always remind me that riding’s about having fun and just enjoying it. Thank you.
Scorpion Exo has quality! $800.00 is because it is carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is not the end all for protection. Poly carbonate is used in helmets too.
I have a cheap Scorpion EXO 400 and it is more comfortable, quieter and better overall than my previous Arai that cost many times more. What works for one person isn't necessarily going to work for someone else as far as helmets go.
i'm an orthopedic surgeon and i ride i can say yes... ride defensively and wear a good helmet! orthopedic surgeons can fix your bones. general surgeons can fix your guts. plastic surgeons/maxillofacial surgeons can fix your face or skin. but neurosurgeons CANNOT fix your brain. they have 2 surgeries for your brain... decompression and excision. ( ok and ebolectomy and embolization but those don't count as much in trauma) ride safe. love you cyclecruza!!!!
I have owned Shoe (currently do), and they are nice but I must say my Scorpion EXO R420 is excellent and great comfort/looks bad ass plus SNELL/DOT certified ($179). I have confidence in it's protection and like it more than Shoe. I got a HJC modular for this summer and like it so far, I do want to try and AGV and a Bell in the future.
Fabio Quartararo wears a Scorpion EXO R1 and he’s one of the top names in MotoGP. You can’t just blanket everything by scorpion into one bucket and it’s under $400 unless you go for the carbon
You are right! I see so many squids out here it is not funny, I bet most have never been down before but they'll have to learn the hard way, hopefully not with their life.
@@Charlesbjtown I would, if I could afford it and it gives me all the advantages of third person as if I'm my avatar in a virtual world. If that's the case, I'd have to get used to it walking first though.
Hit your head on a tree at 60 mph helmet that Costs 800 , 1800, or 200 will not save your head. Sorry… but your right more money doesn’t necessarily make a better head protection. But a cheap Chinese are junk. Just make sure its a really DOT helmet.
My gear saved me. Unfortunately I lost half my left leg. But that's not on the gear. The gear saved my life. And by the way. I will still continue to ride. I'm a ryker rider now. 😎
I used to watch you cyclecruza on your yellow chr 1000rr back in 2017, im still watching today, and i bought a matte red yamaha r3 2019 in 2019. Amazing how much bike riding is probably the most sacred thing a man can do
Like they say a cheap man pays twice and I wasted so much money on cheap helmets. I have not got another helmet since I got this helmet I have now that is the perfect helmet I was always searching for.
I have had a number of Scorpion helmets all throughout the price ranges. Some have been good some have been okay and some just bad. My current helmet is a Scorpion EXO-ST1400 CAFFEINE and it's pretty good and is ECE approved. Planning to get a SHOEI RF-1400 this spring. looking forward to finally trying one out as I've heard so many good things.
Motorcycles are very dangerous no matter what. You can be the safest rider and wear the best gear and go just 1 mile to 7-11 and end up in wheelchair or get killed because a car driver will hit you. I love my Arai helmet btw
I've had more friends die or end up with injuries from car accidents. Life is dangerous, my late brother was the craziest dude on a motorcycle doing 100 mph wheelies with his girl on the back and never got hurt on a bike but died laying down of a brain aneurysm. Most people will die because their body attacked them, not because of a motorcycle crash.
Most of the protection of a helmet stems from it fitting properly. Most premium helmets fit properly. I have discovered that even among premium helmets there is a fit issue when it comes to the actual shape of your head. If I were buying a less expensive helmet I would make sure that it fit good and that it is ECE as well as DOT rated. Snell rating usually pertain to stiffer helmets so when you do the slide and slap in on the ground you tend to take a little more forced to the head. ECE rating is a little more thorough than DOT more rated toward real world scenarios versus Snell which is rated more for track use. I have been down in a scorpion snell rated helmet it did a spectacular job but it also fit my large head like a glove. Fit is everything always measure your head and air on the side of snug.
Yeah my helmet comes in 5 shell sizes to better fit a rider's head. So many of the cheap helmets only have 3 or less shell sizes and use the liner to mitigate the fit. Air flow usually always sucks on cheap helmets. Although I don't wear Scorpion helmets anymore (I've had nearly all of their models thru the years), many riders can attest to them saving their life. However, I have fallen in love with this Bell helmet. You are right fit is everything, you definitely should measure your head and get the right size. So many people buy a bigger size but an incorrectly sized helmet can compromise your safety,. Thanks for sharing!
On this topic I disagree. Each one of us takes our own level of acceptable risk when we do dangerous things. If I had this safety first attitude about Life, I'd never have built and flown a plane, ventured miles into a cave, scuba dived, climbed mountains, or sexually satisfied dozens of women in the last 50 years. I love my HJC brain bucket.
I've been rocking the icon alliance for a few years now,I went down on my bike at about 60mpg and only suffer a broken foot and roadrash on my lower back (even though I was wearing a jacket) and knees,my helmet held up pretty good so I went ahead and bought the same one, only $150 but that was two seasons ago so I think I'm ready for a new helmet,I really like the Icon airflite, they're in the $300 range so hopefully they are as good of better then my Icon alliance, ride safe everyone 🏍🙏🏾
There's a difference between budget friendly and cheap. Bell, AGV, shoei, shark, and all the other top brands used by wSBK and motogp arent gonna risk there reputation by putting out a dangerous helmet. My 200 dollar agv and my 500 dollar bell star race starheld up fine when i crashed at the track
assuming it has all the appropriate ratings, The only real difference is shape/liners and then features. Personally i use a LS2 FF353, I have a super oval ass head and these helmets are perfect for misshapen heads =p.
Spend your money on protective gear especially a helmet first, not on mods. You can get them after if u have extra money. Youv'e only got one head protect it well.
There's a point to where just because it's more expensive, doesn't mean it's better. There's a balance point. What I'm saying is, is a $8000 helmet, better than a $800 one? There's a point to where the price gets ridiculous.
Everything you're complaining about is basic MAINTENANCE! Sounds like you were NEVER fitted for a helmet. You are speaking very giving a lot of MISINFORMATION when it comes to budget-friendly helmets. Not everyone has the money to drop $700-$1000 for a helmet off the rip. I work at Cycle Gear and I sell high and budget-friendly helmets. I sell more Sedici helmets to new riders and those are safe helmets with all the proper safety ratings.
My fave helmet is the discontinued Shoei RF1200. Fits a round head nicely like a glove. $600 Shoei is my go to brand, way back in the day it was Bell. Age 63 Riding experience 47 years Boomer out
$800 helmet is cheap. I have a AGV Corsa R was on sale $1,000 when I got it with Marco Simoncelli graphics. A premium helmet is the AGV Pista R for $1,400 that Valentino Rossi wears himself but the wind noise is terrible in that helm, as it’s obviously a track helmet.
As a new rider I chose a Simpson helmet. It wasn't cheap but I remembered my MSF instructor saying. You can buy a $100 helmet but is your head worth more than $100??
It has the best transitions shield, perfectly tints and lightens up when needed compared to any other transitions shield I ever owned. I don;t understand why all helmets don't come with a transitions shield or at least offer one. I used to get sick of changing shield and having to carry another shield with me. It also has top of the line safety features.
Looking for light carbon helmet for rollerblading with excellent airflow for hot Florida weather, possibly bicycling,or hopefully motorcycle enduro one day any suggestions? This street bike helmet is gonna be too hot 800$ is expensive too seen carbon fiber helmets from big brands for 400$ …
This is gonna sound crazy, & i pray it never happens to anyone, but if someone DOES happen to get into an actual accident. I would love to see it happen with them wearing your inflatable vest just to truly see how much better off a person could be because of it. (Once again, i hope this never actually happens, but that would certainly be interesting to see)
There was a study done in Spain showing that compared to no airbag vest the rate of spinal injuries was lower (14% injury versus 27% IIRC). This was a small n-size study and did not normalize for the use of back armor. There are also about a half-dozen or so studies looking at the mechanism of injury using crash testing showing effectiveness in reducing the force of crashes less than 40k (~25 mph). All are showing that this protective gear has great potential. Most of the current studies are done outside of the US but still are very informative. This is relatively new technology that is showing HUGE promise to reducing trauma injuries of motorcycle riders. Some larger size studies along with potential improvements will only help reduce the risk to motorcyclists. I find it interesting that while most follow an "all gear all the time" there are still states like West Virginia looking at repealing the helmet requirements for riders over 21.
@@eolle43 Absolute amazing read! Thanks for sharing that information! & tbh i find it funny you said West Virginia out of all states considering that’s the place i spent 9 years living & looking to go back this year 😂 They are all around horrible when it comes to road safety tbh. They could care less about any of it. They know the crowd of people that don’t like wearing gear & that demographic typically makes up a good percentage of West Virginians
Scorpion helmets.... The newest ones.... You can't slack on em cyclecruza. The R1 AIR carbon is SOLID 👌 Give their upper end helmets a chance bro 🙏 Ive crashed in their helmets and trust them
Hi cyclecruza what you think about sedici strada 2 gloss carbon helmet, I like that helmet for the look or invest this money for arai Corsair x thank you 🙏
CycleCruza what are the chances of you doing a review on the Ruroc Atlas liquid carbon helmets? It seems that people either love or hate that helmet, there is no gray area on those bu the marketing makes them look like they are one of the most amazing helmets outs there but some reviews are just hating on them big time
I have an atlas 4.0 as my daily it's a decent helmet ... it's comfortable the new liner is good but a pain to remove and clean the shoclwave system does not work with Harley infotainment systems but works good and sounds great through a phone I have worn mine for about 8k Miles and the it seems to be holding up well so far
My Scorpion Exo T1200 full face not cheap it cost me $256.97 and I own other a LS2 Valiant ll and cost $378.98 but I do not use it on long trips because it weight 3.55 plus hurt my neck! CycleCruza
hey man i know i made a comment the other day on your expensive gear, so this video is probably in part for me but i do wear proper gear and everything, im just not financially able to spend thousands on it my helmet is Icon-$300, shoes-$120, gloves $80, icon jacket another $250. i understand quality of life is priceless and appreciate your willingness to bring awareness and content to the world of safety when riding. but im going to wait till the price comes down on that vest mane or maybe if you know of another cheaper option that is not chinese or badly made(no offense to chinese ppl) you could shout it out. But love the videos i know you'll keep them coming
Had a shoei gt air, moved to the rf series, man it is real quiet or i'm losing my hearing. In all seriousness I can barely hear my exhaust as much as before with it on. ATGATT is the way to go for sure. I had me a FU*ked up day not wearing gear on my bicycle and got some stitches on my head and a big bump, I should've worn something that day, but I think I learned the hard way that time. I'm terrible at riding bicycles (perhaps road bikes and crap roads) for some reason, but most motorcycles I'm pretty good.
My helmet is 2015 Snell rated. It has a 3 layer impact flex liner to manage slow, mid and high energy impacts. It has a ton of features but what I love most is it is super comfortable, never fogs up, flows great air and the automatic tint shield (transitions shield) is awesome because I no longer have to ever change to tinted shield. cyclecruza.com/vhxg
The REAL ugly truth about M/C helmets is if you put even a sticker on one instead of it being all slick or if you attach camera mounts to it, you can have your neck broken if it grabs something when you hit the ground.
@@javascriptkiddie2718 my first girlfriend was killed when she hit a deer on her MC. It wasn't the deer that killed her, Her neck broke due to stickers she had on her helmet.. There was a DPS investigation over it. Go ahead and laugh and say no. Wear a sticker on your helmet.
@@halverde6373 just sounds ridiculous man. The glue on even a helmet full of stickers are not thick enough to cause that much resistance. They would be instantly ground off
Wow man you and I are exactly the same in these 2 regards: Valuing your health and being a cheapskate. 😂🤣😂 I just bought a Shoei Neotec 2. I know I compromised on the Modular and shouldn’t have. Unfortunately they are really heavy. I also bought a Nexx from Spain or Portugal and paid about $650, it is carbon fiber, light as a feather, it is also not modular, which adds a ton of weight. It bugged me no end dishing out that money for helmets. Question: I have a Klim air bag vest and love it but I am getting into Adventure Riding and off road, do you think the Helite vest would work off road since it is tethered to the bike instead of programmed from a little computer?
Scorpion makes better helmets, I had their high end helmet, better but it still wasn't as good as this Bell helmet I have now. I used to think Bell only made cheap helmets too but this high end helmet is amazing, it is still as great as the day I bought it.
I got a Scorpion EXO R420 last fall for $179 at Cycle Gear and it's a good piece of kit, DOT and SNELL certified, comfy. Been riding 44 years and I believe 100% it's offers great protection. A lot of the cost on premium lids is for more/better features, lighter materials, R&D and marketing.
Hey man what’s the best first motorcycle in your opinion I’m looking to ride it a lot like everyday like to work and stuff so what do you think would be the best
Before you buy your first bike, take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) approved beginner rider course. They will have small bikes you can ride to learn the basic fundamental skills. Stay away from large displacement bikes for at least a year. Buy a used bike that you can pay cash for. 500 cc or smaller. They are cheap and plentifull. Take a knowledgeable friend with you to help you buy with your mind. Not your emotions. Learn how to maintain and inspect a simple bike. You will eventually want a more powerful bike. After a year or 2, you will be ready, and your riding tastes and style will have matured. Then you'll have a better understanding of what types of bikes you will want. Be safe, and always ride smart.
I started out with only old beat-up helmets I found laying around and I've bought a couple $50 helmets off of Amazon. I don't recommend this for other people though. Ha ha unless you got it like that
Thanks for the helmet video. I like how you said you’re cheap, but will pay more for a better helmet. That makes a strong point bc I’m cheap too, but don’t like cheap items. Lol!
TLDR = "If you are ignorant about helmets and their technology, and don't know how to shop for items to gain this information, then just pay more (seems to work for the government right?)"
Hmm, good helmet?? I keep asking myself if that would have stopped my bike from being rear ended? I was in the process of replacing my brighter helmet and forgot why I wasn't using the one that I had shelves. Anyway I hear you but with my country's economy even a $50 helmet is a luxury.
Yeah quality all the way riding Simpson slammed out on the highway hit by a Chevy avalanche, don’t know my abcs anymore but I’m alive, Simpson bandit baby.
People that wear half and 3/4 helmets are the type of people that don’t want to wear helmets in the first place and only wear them because they live in a place that requires them
He lost me at 6 minutes in when he was talking about safety as hes gesturing all around while making a video instead of actually paying attention to what hes doing. Used to just worry about idiots behind the wheel on cell phones. Now we have to worry about idiots making youtube videoswith their cellphones while on their bikes. Wtf.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.....I am not spending $770 in needless mark up for a "Name" or "Amenities" when the only difference is the "Name" or the types of "Amenities" so do not cheap out well it is not a "Cheap Out" it is called reasonable spending. so $30 on an old stock helmet brand new just because "Style" changed is not a cheap out. as far as names TCMT, Shoei, Bell, Scorpion, HJC they kind of all have to pass the same DOT inspections for protection levels and well none of them exceed bare minimum just "Names" and "Amenities". Truth according to Sponsor is more like it.
My first helmet was the HJC helmet for about $250ish. I got it for the MSF course tbh. That was back before I knew I'd end up with an ADV bike "T-7" So now I've got a street helmet and an ADV bike... F*ck it lol.. I've considered getting the Arai XD-4 but I'm going to roll like this at least while I learn the basics.
I owned an XD4 and a review video on it comparing it to the Suomy MX Tourer: th-cam.com/video/TXvfVoCQaWc/w-d-xo.html It is a great helmet. I still own it but hardly ever wear ADV helmets anymore because I rarely go off-road anymore.

DOT literally means nothing, while I agree with you on price… my minimum certification I go by is Ece.
I am living proof that a quality helmet saved my life in a crash. Thanks Shoei - I keep my Shoei RF1200 as a reminder
Nice! Thanks for sharing! Shoei makes great helmets. I had a Shoei RF1200, great helmet. It is definitely worth it to get a premium helmet.
Never use that again after a crash. One tiny scuff and it can break your neck on the next crash.
Helmets must be smooth to work as intended.
@@halverde6373 I keep this as a souvenir to remind me how precious life is
@@cvang234 True. There is no re-spawn.
That's only video fantasy.

Thank you.
Nice! Cool dual sport! Thanks for being a long time viewer. I appreciate. Stay safe!
@CycleCruza make you feel old?! 😵
I was looking for a video on this exact helmet. Thank you for your comment
Fabio Quartararo wears a Scorpion EXO R1 and he’s one of the top names in MotoGP. You can’t just blanket everything by scorpion into one bucket and it’s under $400 unless you go for the carbon
My scorpion has a snell rating too.
Expect the worst! DO NOT save money on gear.
Buying 8+k for a bike, and save on gear has to be the dumbest thing ever.
Your health is priceless ❤️
Would you buy a $4000 helmet?
You are right! I see so many squids out here it is not funny, I bet most have never been down before but they'll have to learn the hard way, hopefully not with their life.
@@Charlesbjtown I would, if I could afford it and it gives me all the advantages of third person as if I'm my avatar in a virtual world. If that's the case, I'd have to get used to it walking first though.
Hit your head on a tree at 60 mph helmet that
Costs 800 , 1800, or 200 will not save your head.
Still riding, hell yeah!
I used to watch you cyclecruza on your yellow chr 1000rr back in 2017, im still watching today, and i bought a matte red yamaha r3 2019 in 2019. Amazing how much bike riding is probably the most sacred thing a man can do
Cycle cruiser is very right about buying a good helmet they can be expensive, but worth it
Like they say a cheap man pays twice and I wasted so much money on cheap helmets.
I got the RF-1400 for a steal and trust me, GET IT !!! Worth every penny!!!
All true. Currently waiting on the arai helmet I ordered to show up 👍
I think I'm going for Arai. Can ride over my head.
I have a Helmet from Shark about 150€ , is it okay ?
Motorcycles are very dangerous no matter what. You can be the safest rider and wear the best gear and go just 1 mile to 7-11 and end up in wheelchair or get killed because a car driver will hit you.
I love my Arai helmet btw
I've had more friends die or end up with injuries from car accidents. Life is dangerous, my late brother was the craziest dude on a motorcycle doing 100 mph wheelies with his girl on the back and never got hurt on a bike but died laying down of a brain aneurysm. Most people will die because their body attacked them, not because of a motorcycle crash.
Regular pedal bikes and e bikes are dangerous too, but people dont talk about them as much. even you
Most of the protection of a helmet stems from it fitting properly.
@@CycleCruza Bless up 🙏🏾
On this topic I disagree.
I still have the alliance as well
There's a difference between budget friendly and cheap.
I love this dood! You just keep it real!
Gosh but isn't there something good with a pricetag that's in between $50-$800? Somewhere around $300?
7:26 😂😂😂 nah this this a great video always good info on your channel!
My fave helmet is the discontinued Shoei RF1200. Fits a round head nicely like a glove. $600
Shoei is my go to brand, way back in the day it was Bell.
Age 63
Riding experience 47 years

ALWAYS buy quality. One should NEVER skimp out on something that keeps you safe and can save your life when the worst happens. I always go with Shoei.

Another one of them videos that tells me to stop riding.
Right it's too dam expensive!
You got to agree and to take it siriusly, coz guy speaks from hes heart. After this vidieo i cancelled cheap helmet order, and looking for a good one
What helmet is this 3:43. The yellow highviz dualsport helmet just before Suomy? Acerbis?
If you're going to spend more than 500 on a helmet, might as well get a Shoei or Arai. Much more premium
Scorpion EXO R420 is a great helmet it's snell approved and under 200 bucks. Great helmet to get if you can't get a 600 plus dollar helmet.
Scorpion ranks well on sharp ratings... is that not a good gauge?
Also Scorpion jeans are amazing
I thought you needed a pinlock to keep from fogging ,i have a transition shield i put a pinlock on it i guess i didn't need to do that
As a new rider I chose a Simpson helmet. It wasn't cheap but I remembered my MSF instructor saying. You can buy a $100 helmet but is your head worth more than $100??
I need to get me that Bell helmet. That auto tint is real convenient
@@CycleCruza How long have you had this helmet? I'm looking to buy one but read that the average life of a transition visor is about 2 years.
have you tried the Arai brand, $ 4000 price range for a helmet
Do a review of the new hax helmets it’s doc and ece rated.
Cyclecruza you recommend wearing balaclava with motorcycle helmet thank you
Looking for light carbon helmet for rollerblading with excellent airflow for hot Florida weather, possibly bicycling,or hopefully motorcycle enduro one day any suggestions? This street bike helmet is gonna be too hot 800$ is expensive too seen carbon fiber helmets from big brands for 400$ …
Dude, I like your gloves! What model is it?
The R1 AIR carbon is SOLID 👌
Give their upper end helmets a chance bro 🙏
Ive crashed in their helmets and trust them
Awesome video cyclecruza thanks for the laughs as always
Hi cyclecruza what you think about sedici strada 2 gloss carbon helmet, I like that helmet for the look or invest this money for arai Corsair x thank you 🙏
if u watch the video on how theyre tested, theres not much difference in DOT and snell.
Remember the Titan, carbon fiber is not good against compression, which your helmet is doing upon impact.
CycleCruza what are the chances of you doing a review on the Ruroc Atlas liquid carbon helmets? It seems that people either love or hate that helmet, there is no gray area on those bu the marketing makes them look like they are one of the most amazing helmets outs there but some reviews are just hating on them big time
I have an atlas 4.0 as my daily it's a decent helmet ... it's comfortable the new liner is good but a pain to remove and clean the shoclwave system does not work with Harley infotainment systems but works good and sounds great through a phone I have worn mine for about 8k Miles and the it seems to be holding up well so far
so… it is Biltwell?
My Scorpion Exo T1200 full face not cheap it cost me $256.97 and I own other a LS2 Valiant ll and cost $378.98 but I do not use it on long trips because it weight 3.55 plus hurt my neck! CycleCruza
I buy only HJC helmets ..$ 200 and under . I have been hit by car, flung over handlebars at 60mph and slide down road the helmet did its job ..
hey man i know i made a comment the other day on your expensive gear, so this video is probably in part for me but i do wear proper gear and everything, im just not financially able to spend thousands on it my helmet is Icon-$300, shoes-$120, gloves $80, icon jacket another $250. i understand quality of life is priceless and appreciate your willingness to bring awareness and content to the world of safety when riding. but im going to wait till the price comes down on that vest mane or maybe if you know of another cheaper option that is not chinese or badly made(no offense to chinese ppl) you could shout it out.
Getting a ECE 22 06 latest safety standard is the best. Look for sharp star rated too.

I just bought a Shoei Neotec 2.
I’m cheap 😂. Fyi - that pro tint shield can be purchased for ALL Bell helmets now. I have it on my Qualifier. Looking to get an Arai or Shoei soon.
Bell qualifier seems like a good balance of price and quality.
CycleCruza How does the Carbon Bell helmet you have compare to the rf1200?
5:25 😂😂😂 great video
Does scorpion and shark make high quality stuff too or it’s all trash?
Scorpion makes better helmets, I had their high end helmet, better but it still wasn't as good as this Bell helmet I have now. I used to think Bell only made cheap helmets too but this high end helmet is amazing, it is still as great as the day I bought it.
I got a Scorpion EXO R420 last fall for $179 at Cycle Gear and it's a good piece of kit, DOT and SNELL certified, comfy. Been riding 44 years and I believe 100% it's offers great protection. A lot of the cost on premium lids is for more/better features, lighter materials, R&D and marketing.
Switched from cheap to Arai Corsair-X, noticed a big difference
Yeah you pay for what you get. #1 - airflow is always better on the more expensive helmets.
Thank you I really appreciate it thanks
3.7 lbs isn't lightweight 🤔
My Scorpion Exo R1 Air is 3.4 lbs.
Great airflow, safe, lighter weight than yours, it's a great helmet at $450.
3 lbs 7 ounces is about 3,45 pounds
I wore a 20$ helmet once and crashed my bike. The only thing woke me up was the smell of a gasoline. Other than that I was fine with a few bruises.
I have a scorpion exo420. It's snell and DOT. It wasn't 50 bucks tho
Lol!
This can easily be answered by asking the simple question. "How much is your head worth? $50 or $800?
You kept it real for sure!
I question if you can find an expensive helmet made outside of China or elsewhere they don't own the factory.
I have 65cm head..... yea not so many options
People that wear half and 3/4 helmets are the type of people that don’t want to wear helmets in the first place and only wear them because they live in a place that requires them
Watch a crash at a moto gp race, you'll call me to appreciate a good helmet
Best advice I got is ride your bike with the attitude that everyone around you is about to do something incredibly stupid.
I love my bell modular helmet it was really comfortable and was an excellent
