I like how (thanks to Players) the SE universe does something that most sci-fic overlooks, using gravity tech to do more then just walking inside ships.
You all probably dont care but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Harvey Jacoby Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I'm very impressed with the quality of this video. The editing, music, and transitions are top notch. Not only that, but you have an infectious enthusiasm in your voice that really makes you shine as a commentator. Subscribed, favorited, and shared!
Hah thank you for that. The downside to my enthusiasm though is that I can't really force it. I had the idea for this video weeks before doing the footage and making the material When I have a vision, usually the final product turns out great. Lately it's been hard to form my next idea, seeing as how I'm in the last week of my first semester as a grad student. SO MUCH WORK T____T
subbed!!!! love it. i love the amount of work you put into your video, the small diagrams and the amount of explaining you do is great for me as i haven't played this game much. i don't know how those who have played this game a lot will receive the hand holding, something to consider.
@Morphologis I don't know if somebody already mentioned it,but a large ship block is exactly 2.5m*2.5m*2.5m. And small ship blocks are 0.5m. But the rest of this vid is really well done :)
One of the most comprehensive yet "easy on the senses" guide to a gravity launcher I've found, what with the video editting and clear, non-monotone commentary. Very much looking forward to trying this out.
Thank you for the comments!! I appreciate the feedback. Space Engineers is an addictive and fantastic game. Every week something new is added, this week its going to be programming blocks. Can't wait!!
I had found one of your videos for a smart airlock before noticing this one in the side, and I must say you have some very brilliant ideas, and you do them in a very easy to understand way, explaining and showing what you mean, which is good for visual learners such as myself. You're brilliant. Thank you for your videos and taking the time to do them.
Really well done video! You took the time to make sure that people understood what they were supposed to do. I wish other people could make instructional videos as well as you do!
You have some of the best tutorials on TH-cam for Space Engineers. Are you planning on getting into some of the modded content? The Docking Ring Mod is freaking amazing.
Awesome step by step. Im brand new to this game and your instructions are perfectly clear with every video not assuming people even know the controls. Sub'd
Where are you in 2020 your videos are the most amazing, well structured , pieces of perfected tutorial genius that I could cry !!! Can we get a a redo of your tutorial series but 2020 version
Another great idea, thanks your helping me with great ideas for the ship i was working on before my pc died, when I get a new one I will remake it and be sure to give some credit to you!
I loved this video, it really gives in-depth instruction on how to handle the whole gravitational field generator thing, which is a bit confusing. I remember before seeing this 'guesstimating' grav field widths for a race track I built (more of a proving grounds for ground vehicles) and still had weird gaps in the fields. Now I realize that each large block = 2.5 meters (2.5*4 = 10) and so now have a better understanding of that aspect. I am currently building two very large ships, and this tutorial is helping me sort how to launch both drones from my Ferox build and Vipers from... Yup, my battlestar. Which has been an ongoing build for the past two months, and I'm at a point where I'm a little stuck on the whole building the flight pods, because my goal is to make them retractable, which I've already placed my pistons and they seem to work, but I'm needing to work on more of that. Anyway, thanks for this video, and the process of launching looks freaking awesome, I love it! Great video!
Morphologis I know they do! I have a lot of respect for the time you guys put into these, my little 'audio testing video' on my channel is all I've really gotten game wise, and that took like 2 hours to process through, and it was all of some, 4 minutes or something like that. Thanks for the reply! You've got some great content, keep it up man.
This is so helpfull, I'll use it for my escape pods launch system. Is the third time I change it this week, haha. The SE comunity is very creative and I love it.
I was considering making an automated warhead/mine builder-launcher along the spine of a large ship kinda like this, never could figure it out properly though. Now I'm tempted to try again.
How is your voice so clear and your tutorials so easy to understand? o.o Any chance we can convince you to make one about how to make your ships look good? Mine are functional, but always end up looking like some kind of flying geometric object.
it's now 2020 I feel as though this video needs to be updated for modern space engineers however, I think that the concepts would probably be the same (please keep in mind this is still a great video
Star citizen, give us a decent sized ship, probably a capital ship, with launch tubes on it for snub fighters, then give us 2 new types of snub fighters as well. The ship could maybe have 5 tubes on each side of the ship, when it was ready you would run to the entrance of the ship, and it would work like this video. Would be so cool!!!
wow... awesome tutorial(s) ! :) I hope u keep going with that ... its really interesting how stuff works in Space Engineers and the way u describe it makes it really easy to understand ! :)
Also, for anyone else watching, when he pokes holes in the tubes and starts placing gravity generators, you can use a symmetry plane to make this go faster, but you still need to edit the settings for each gravity generator individually.
Reading comments like yours makes it all worth it, thank you for the feedback!! Hope you stick around for some future stuff I'm working on... in secret.
2:08 on both sides? Then why does your diagram anotation say it can go from 150m to -150m? What's the difference between positive and negative if it's equally on both sides?
I just realize that this system can also work as a escape pod system. As long as you know how to shorten the launch tube and make a small ship fit into the tube
another thing to note is that more and more gravity generators mean more total gravity, with the first 2 he made he had 2.0 G, 1.0 G per generator, so if you want a shorter tube with the same or faster acceleration, you will need to have more generators, and lastly never put an artificial mass block within the gravity field of the capital ship, it will force the entire ship to move in the direction of the gravity pull and even inertial dampeners cant stop it
Hmmm, could this maybe be expkoited to get a ship moving without any engine glow? (thinking about Black painted hard to see stealth ships with gravity engines)
If you hold shift+ctrl+alt+F12 you will get the physics screen, it will show the gravity field of each generator, that way you don't have to mess around with beacons and counting blocks.
If an enemy is using launch tubes, a good tactic is to try and clog them at the last second. The debris from the impact will damage the tube and put it out of service for a while.
How on earth did you get that piston stable on the small fighter? Every time I try it, no matter the circumstances, it just wobbles around and messes with my centre of gravity.
So, i was thinking, with this launch tube. You could probably make this move up, down, left, and right, like a cannon barrel. And with the new blueprint block, you could make a custom bomb/missile that could be launched from it, or just use it to launch ships.
If the launch tube gravity fields end at the tube's entrance, how do they catch the artificial mass cubes on your fighter, which appear to be just outside the tube?
also may i ask, is there any workaround to the current issue with the display for the center of mass wherein the display is obscured by blocks of the ship? it seems i and a lot of other people have been experiencing this issue an its making this project so difficult to do.. KSH doesn't seem to know (or care?) just how important center of mass is now with planets, launch tubes (for stations and carriers) and gravity cannons..
Is there any way I can adapt this for a carrier catapult? I've been trying to get it to work, but, so far, whenever I try to launch, the nose of the ship keeps pulling towards the deck of the catapult.
I made my own launch tubes on my carrier based of your video, problem is: Are the mass blocks bugged? Because it seems I can only launch my fighter once, and then after I turn off the mass blocks, turn them back on again, the ship isn't affected by the gravity. Have you had this problem before?
Is there by chance that there's a smaller version of this? I'm trying to make something similar to the pads in no mans sky and something like this is a bit big for the hanger (not saying its bad though, this design I awesome!)
How do you make those launch ships? Do you use pistons to extend the wings to allow people out? And also, can you do a tutorial on conveyors? I'm a noob at this game :P
Hello, Morphologis! What kind of microphone/headset do you use? I'm interested in buying the new one, but i still don't know which to choose. Your answer would help me alot. Thank you in advance
I'm currently using a Shure SM7B Dynamic Cardioid microphone, along with a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer, since the sm7b requires phantom power and increased gain. The mic is quite expensive, while the mixer isn't.
would it be possible to make this design short enough to fit onto a ship and act as an escape pod launcher to shoot out escape pods fast enough to get past enemy ships without getting targeted?
Well you can just have an escape pod with seats, an artificial mass, an energy source, and a connector outside of your ship plus, idk, 20 gravity generators on the ship that will push them away from the ship, you just need to have the right settings applied (negative or positive gravity and how big the field is), but be careful not to pull the crew towards the wall inside the ship with 20Gs lol
Dude, how did you use the pistons on this ship? I tried to use pistons in mine unsuccessfully. The piston breaks while I´m flying. Nice video, btw. Gratz!
+sprite man. ive been experimenting with them abit, and ive found the key to avoiding a visit from clang is to set the minimum extension distance on the pistons to 0.5m just to give the blocks a tiny bit of space between eachother. the blocks only seem to act weird when they're forced together (like a piston trying to retract fully and not being able to). alternatively there's a mod that gives you more blast door blocks in the shapes of standard blocks. either way works
Hi @ Morphpholigis do you still take a look on community builds? I had a very cool idea for a a carrier and wnat to use your lunchtubes and fighters on it also i'm new to space engineers and need some help, would be awsome if you can helb me a little bit on this projekt
***** im pretty sure if you turn off the dampeners, since the fighter would already be moving at the carrier speed, it would work. you would have to make sure to dock the fighters in the tube before the ship moves.

Ah yes the 2 bots are at it again

@Tristan Ephraim instablaster :)
@Harvey Jacoby Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.

@Harvey Jacoby it worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my ass!
I'm very impressed with the quality of this video. The editing, music, and transitions are top notch. Not only that, but you have an infectious enthusiasm in your voice that really makes you shine as a commentator. Subscribed, favorited, and shared!

Morphologis Yor commentary is very spot on. I have subbed as well :)
Couldn't have said it better my self. Subbed!
subbed!!!! love it.
i love the amount of work you put into your video, the small diagrams and the amount of explaining you do is great for me as i haven't played this game much.

this video literally just shows how much SE has come and I love it
Wow we need more people like you.
Not only is this a great tutorial, but those ships and your use of pistons is actually really cool. You deserve more views.
me: has an escape port that everyone knows about
them: covers the escape port with their ships to stop me
me: puts a nuke in it
I had found one of your videos for a smart airlock before noticing this one in the side, and I must say you have some very brilliant ideas, and you do them in a very easy to understand way, explaining and showing what you mean, which is good for visual learners such as myself. I really wish you would jump back into space engineers, your tutorials are very unique and inspired.
Really well done video! You took the time to make sure that people understood what they were supposed to do. I wish other people could make instructional videos as well as you do!
The quality of these videos is astounding! Thank you for your hard work in making the learning and viewing experience truly remarkable!
You have some of the best tutorials on TH-cam for Space Engineers.
Are you planning on getting into some of the modded content? The Docking Ring Mod is freaking amazing.
I think the SNCNC mod is by far the best... The Hoverbikes are AWESOME
for sure, already did a modded ship that I want to do a video on later today!
Awesome step by step. Im brand new to this game and your instructions are perfectly clear with every video not assuming people even know the controls. Sub'd
Very Informational, nicely edited, concise, to the point and no umms. Thank you sir, thank you.
I appreciate the feedback, I hope you'll stick around and check out my other tutorials!
Your voice sounds good, the diagram looks great, instructions are clear and your tutorial series is just superb. Instantly subscribed!
Where are you in 2020 your videos are the most amazing, well structured , pieces of perfected tutorial genius that I could cry !!! Can we get a a redo of your tutorial series but 2020 version
Already been doing Launch tubes for a while, still a good video as usual.
And those ships are just awesome.
wow, this is great, although its pretty old,I may do an refined version of this on my channel
I'm amazed and this video has helped me to understand how the controls work, best video to keep and to learn, Thanks Morphologis.
Excellent, concise and works so well. Thanks
You are one of the people on youtube who just deserve more than even a 100.000 subs but havent got even a quarter, thats kinda sad. D:
Another great idea, thanks your helping me with great ideas for the ship i was working on before my pc died, when I get a new one I will remake it and be sure to give some credit to you!

You make some kickass ships. Earned a sub
amazing idea you gave me for my ships to head on to direct battle
This would be excellent as a large battleship. Forget hangars, just launch tubes!
Thank you for such an informative and well constructed tutorial, earned yourself a sub! Look forward to watching more of your content!
Thank you this is exactly what i was looking for on my ship
I was considering making an automated warhead/mine builder-launcher along the spine of a large ship kinda like this, never could figure it out properly though. Now I'm tempted to try again.
This is a fantastic tutorial! subscribed.
Dude, you're awesome. I love your enthusiasm. You've earn another sub.
Really useful, I was trying to build a railgun and didn't understand why gravity gens weren't working with other ships
u r the best man going to check your map b4 i do it in my world
another great video Morphologis! Helped out alot
How is your voice so clear and your tutorials so easy to understand? o.o

I hope u keep going with that ... its really interesting how stuff works in Space Engineers and the way u describe it makes it really easy to understand ! :)
You are fantastic at this, you should expand to more popular games as well so you get the attention you deserve.
That diagram is art, you can tell he has multiple degrees
Also, for anyone else watching, when he pokes holes in the tubes and starts placing gravity generators, you can use a symmetry plane to make this go faster, but you still need to edit the settings for each gravity generator individually.
Very polished tutorial! Lots of good work. I wish the rest of these fly by niters would take a few lessons from you. TY
Reading comments like yours makes it all worth it, thank you for the feedback!! Hope you stick around for some future stuff I'm working on... in secret.
I really like this tutorial, i havent played before but now i think its worth a try! :)
AWESOME! You earn a new suscriber sir
I liked your tutorial, and I don't even have this game!
very impressive thinking of doing this in my survival game :)
thanks! i just got this game and you really helped me!
You would make a fantastic anime voice actor! haha. Fantastic tutorial man!
Great just great. A battlestar it is :D.
2:08 on both sides? Then why does your diagram anotation say it can go from 150m to -150m? What's the difference between positive and negative if it's equally on both sides?
Make this but with an escape pod! Man I'm such a genius!😁
You totally remind me of ChrisFix!
David Prentice you watch him TOO!!!!! 😂😂
AHAHAHHAHAH EXACTLY!
soapywardar!
you can also use this to make a massive railgun for orbital bombardments
Really loved the ship, when you're coming out of the tube it's like "LOCK S-FOILS IN ATTACK POSITION!"
I just realize that this system can also work as a escape pod system. As long as you know how to shorten the launch tube and make a small ship fit into the tube
i could see this being used on a base so fighters zoom out to defend, or for attacking ships to launch fighters or launch mines at high velocity.
\o/ You finally released it!
another thing to note is that more and more gravity generators mean more total gravity, with the first 2 he made he had 2.0 G, 1.0 G per generator, so if you want a shorter tube with the same or faster acceleration, you will need to have more generators, and lastly never put an artificial mass block within the gravity field of the capital ship, it will force the entire ship to move in the direction of the gravity pull and even inertial dampeners cant stop it

awesome, I have this in my ship now although its slightly glitchy when I attach my small ship to the conveyer,
If an enemy is using launch tubes, a good tactic is to try and clog them at the last second. The debris from the impact will damage the tube and put it out of service for a while.
How on earth did you get that piston stable on the small fighter? Every time I try it, no matter the circumstances, it just wobbles around and messes with my centre of gravity.
AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could u use artificial mass blocks + a launch tube to make a sorta railgun? Like use the mass blocks + a warhead or something to launch at a ship
this is a good video
Great vid
So, i was thinking, with this launch tube. You could probably make this move up, down, left, and right, like a cannon barrel.
And with the new blueprint block, you could make a custom bomb/missile that could be launched from it, or just use it to launch ships.
Id like to know how you made that fighter. Ive had trouble with extendable wings wanting to shake themselves to pieces.
If the launch tube gravity fields end at the tube's entrance, how do they catch the artificial mass cubes on your fighter, which appear to be just outside the tube?
great video :)
So with launch tubes you can make functional escape pods for big ships?
I love the diagrams in your videos! Is it because of your schooling?
also may i ask, is there any workaround to the current issue with the display for the center of mass wherein the display is obscured by blocks of the ship? it seems i and a lot of other people have been experiencing this issue an its making this project so difficult to do.. My first thought was the beginning of the mission 'Shutdown' on Halo 4. I suddenly want to build the UNSC Infinity... challenge accepted.
Is there by chance that there's a smaller version of this? I'm trying to make something similar to the pads in no mans sky and something like this is a bit big for the hanger (not saying its bad though, this design I awesome!)
When you say bsg do you mean Battlestar Glactica?
How do you make those launch ships? Do you use pistons to extend the wings to allow people out? And also, can you do a tutorial on conveyors? I'm a noob at this game :P
Hello, Morphologis!

Can I use some of your ships in a build I'm doing? Are there links to each indevidual ship?
could you please make tutorial for piston wing.
i was trying some of these ships that you builder to build piston wing but it exploded

Question
Does it work when (for example a carrier) we use the launch tube at the same time the carrier is moving
***** im pretty sure if you turn off the dampeners, since the fighter would already be moving at the carrier speed, it would work. you would have to make sure to dock the fighters in the tube before the ship moves.
What's the font in those diagrams? Looks so clean :OOO
Will the map feature the ships wich were on the video pls?
do a video explaining how pistons work
When I was making this I accidently launched myself really far away without enough hydrogen to get back
Nice
I made a Fast travel system :D Thats awesome
Hi morphologis is the on the steam workshop if how do I download it all new to steam?
thanks
another way to do this is to simply turn on the artificial gravity field of influence, i believe it is found in the options
how do you open the doors and connect to connectors for me it glitches put when o try to connect
is thar a whay to set up a senser to stop the drill's when the ship hits a serten mass
