My daughter's Mini came up with this code. I watched this video and decided to start off with the basics and discovered very low oil, not even showing on the dipstick. Topping up the oil fixed the problem. Thanks, this is a very informative video....
Having this with my '11 mini Cooper base with the N16. Hoping and praying that it's just the solenoid cause it resolved itself last year but it's back, and now instead of VANOS, it feels like VTEC, where only a certain rpm feels like it gets the vvt boost. Hoping is just a solenoid that's a little stuck. Wouldn't a stretched timing chain throw a code for both intake and exhaust?
Hey man I have a 2008 e93 n54 I’ve done the spark plugs, coils, timing chain tensioner, vanos solenoids and both the camshaft sensors and code still won’t clear I drive the car daily “in limp mode” and it runs completely fine WHAT IS WRONG
I have a 2014 Toyota sienna and I have both the P0015 (B side bank 1) and P0025 (B side bank 2)occasionally, overr the last year, come in on the highway for a short time and then go away. The engine never runs poorly even when the check engine light is on? How is it both banks trigger the code, then clear? Thanks.
@HVAC_Mechanic the Sienna 2GR-FE has a timing chain. I bought the van with 90,000 miles. While I change the oil every 4-5000 miles, the previous owner may not have. Do you think the OCV filters are restricted? The code will come in and then go away after a driving cycle. Not getting engine performance issues at all.
I got this code right after and oil change on my bmw 06 330i I think it could be a bad oil filter since I just checked mine and it had no basket Inside
Ill go ahead and mention i had a vehicle come in with a mazda cx 5 2.5l engine and the customer complained of a lower end rod knock. There wasnt a rod knock when it arrived. I scanned and found a p0015 and also every coil on this engine had a secondary ionization code which may have been pending, i dont remember. I thought about the electric hydraulic spool and the AWS system which retards the exhaust timing to heat up the catalytic converter for emissions and i told the service advisor that i believe the customer when they said they hard a knocking sound although it is not happening right now and that was the end of that. Engine was clean, appears to have been rebuilt or replaced with a leaking oil oan although etc at near 100k miles... That was the end of that. I would have loved to get to the bottom of the customers concern but that is the end of that. Very interesting.

I change everything on my car too and code still showing and it drive well

It needs to be diagnosed, but with both banks giving a code, I would check the timing belt. It may be getting stretched and throwing things off.

I have p000b and p0015 a knocking sound or tapping comingfrom Rcz puegout. 56000 miles on clock.. Do you think it could be timing chain.. Thank you
having same issue what else can it be?
