I honest to God find it hilarious that Vi and Jinx are both trained fighters, but when they're paired against each other, all that goes out the window and they fight like children. They're siblings alright 😂
When Vi opened her hand for jinx and said “what are you waiting for, he’s your dad too” then they had the song “what have they done to us” playing, I couldn’t stop the waterworks😭 ughhh I love this show but it’s broken me a lot this season😭
Even after everything, Vi was still gonna face a wolf-like beast just to keep her sister and some kid she barely knows safe. Vander was right, she's got a good heart.
Genuinely though, it's subtle compared to everything else happening in this episode, but the Cait stuff here feels so important to her character to me and, I think, is a great illustration of one of the key differences between her and Ambessa. In episode 4 we see that Ambessa has assumed the disappearance of Jayce and Heimerdinger is a deliberate attack on her by her mortal enemy, the Black Rose, and she continues to stubbornly believe she's right about everything for months on end without questioning it once, even after her most loyal ally suggests it could be something else In this episode, we also see Caitlyn assume that Singed's summoning of this perverse Zaunite abomination was a deliberate attack on her people by her mortal enemy Jinx... But she doesn't just stubbornly accept that assumption as the truth. She is a detective. She investigates and researches and in less than 24 hours discovers who Singed really is, and that he isn't even from Zaun, he's a Piltovan who has been using the innocent people of the undercity as subjects in his horrible experiments for years. Even Shimmer was a creation he unleashed on them, rather than something made by the people of Zaun themselves. She deliberately faces her own prejudiced thinking and questions everything she thought she knew about the conflict between the two cities And then he explains that all the horrible things he's putting these poor people through were done out of a twisted feeling of love for a deceased family member... just like her this season. And she realizes this is who she could become if she stays on her current path All of season 1, Caitlyn was someone who wanted to seek the truth and then, with that information, do the right thing. It's so nice to really see that again (Plus, she also discovers that Ambessa has been going behind her back all this time to make sketchy deals with scientists like this monster, and probably realizes that these two “allies” of hers have one thing in common, besides their lack of any moral backbone. Namely: They never question the goal they fight for, never prioritize ANYTHING over it… and because of that they are completely alone in this world. They have no family around them anymore. No friends. No lovers. Only soldiers and creatures they use for their own ends, and the people who use them in return)
That was a great analysis... But I wish all these things were actually shown in the show. Like a 30 seconds of inner monologue, a contemplation with some sort of montage in the background, anything that would give Cait actual character progression.
Vi after her family gets murdered and she is regularly beaten for 7 years straight: *fine* Vi after a two week lesbian relationship: Honestly, it checks out lol
I know youre joking but think about it this way: Vi said in season one, the only thing that kept her going in prison, was the thought of reuniting with Powder. In S2 Act 1 she makes it clear that her sister is dead and only Jinx remains. So after shit goes down in episode 3, she is left with nothing to hold on to anymore!
Yeah bad pacing, honestly just not enough episodes for the level of plot they're trying to tackle. If they dumped Isha and just had Warwick serve that purpose and let Mel die in Season 1 E9, so we don't have her somewhat pointless left-field plot taking up screen-time that only serves to set-up the next show then Arcane season 2 would have been tighter. Everything feels rushed after this episode, which is the best in the whole season
That last shot of Vander holding his daughters (and I know he would count Isha as one of his daughters) is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my life. Not only is the artwork absolutely perfect on its own without context, but with context it’s one of the most heartwarming things ever drawn.
If you think about it, Vander and Silco's story reflects Vi and Jinx's. They lost someone important in their life because of something they were both responsible for. In his grief, the one with the brawns lashed out at the other and tried to tell himself that he deserved it. History repeats itself. It's a vicious cycle.
Fun fact Jeannie Tirado who voices the mother of Jinx and Vi also is the VA for one of league of legends champions called Vex. Its actually insane because I thought it was also Ella Purnell voicing the mom because of how similar she sounded to Jinx but nop completely difference VA. The casting for this show is incredible. I think they were aiming for a mix between Jinx and Vi voice and they kind of got it right.
The guy she punched in the face while dancing in the bar and imagining Caitlyn was the Knife Guy from Silco who licked his knife before trying to kill Vi with it in Episode 3 of Season 1. He is also the thug in Marcus' daughters' room who licked his finger to turn the page in Teemo's Bandle Scout Book. And he licks that guys bald head in The Last Drop just before Vi and Sevika's second showdown.
The visually imagery in this show. From Vi reflection of shattered glass(being shattered on the inside) To Jinx being Zaun's leader when it should've been Vi. To her seeing her sister with her own child and learning to see her sister is still there To Vi's jacket with the two wolves. To Vi finally letting down her guard and fist down as Warwicks Arm's are in an attacking position To Felicias hair and part of Jinx's and Vi imagery To the song being the end of season 1, episode 2. Powders juice, cup, and Straw To having a family back Vander, Vi, Powder and Isha. I could go on.

@@technewsfortechnoobs I’m wondering how much time had passed between the end of episode 4 and the moment Jinx finally talks to Vi. His facial expression makes it very obvious that the only reason he took Powder with him was because of the similar life experience and parallels. fortiche and their animation, man.
This episode gave me an idea what Arcane 2's "movie poster" means - Vi and Jinx step into reversed roles in many ways , as in Jinx being the more in control - even sensible one up until now. Less driven by outside events unlike Vi , who is very much free spinning and reactive to events pushing her around.
When Jayce is talking to Viktor, you can see that his breath is showing because its freezing near the hex core, but when Salo talks, nothing. Because Salo isn't breathing.

I have 2 bio and 6 step and 1 close in-law and a crap ton of cousins and friends. As a straight male, I have hugged many of them, some on a regular basis. Skin to skin isn't really an issue. Without a shirt is the same as with one. Now without pants....that's a horse of an ENTITELY different color!!!! That is an absolute no-go! You need at least decently lengthen shorts, like athletic b-ball short or something. At least knee length. No sagging allowed either! Usually their is also a time limit. I hug my sons all the time skin to skin, but their 8 and 5.

I don’t know if you see this comments, but with the many react I’ve seen so far, in this episode, you are the only one who new the reasons why vander felt them, it was Isha noise blood… you are so smart on that one…
I was Dee for this whole episode. I honestly was so emotionally drained I almost didn't watch Episode 6. If I wasn't watching with friends I probably would have saved it for the next day. Probably would have been for the better also.
In episode 2, Viktor literally says “it was *affection* that held us together” to Jayce lol And with shipping them… everyone has their own interpretation to this so 🤷🏻♀️
Meesh and Dee, after seeing episodes 4 and 5, I was wondering who of you two would go Angry Goth or seek comfort in the arms of a gorgeous Scottish girl after a bad break up?
This episode its so good an emotional! The hug :( And we finally get Vi and Jayce after their situationship is over, and their are looking miserable and HOT xD
Love how you give Maddie tons of hate but apparently Cait wasn't involved at all. Where's the condemnation for her? She's the one who rebounded onto Maddie.
Singed is the secret MVP of the show, never gets credit, thanks to him Jinx is alive, Vander is alive. And it's all for his love of his daughter. He doesn't deserve everyone calling him creepy!
This is kinda a crazy take lol. Keeping Vander alive is torturous and he is actively murdering and unethically experimenting on people/animals in pursuit of his goal. If that ain’t creepy and evil idk what is. Good/realistic motivations don’t justify abhorrent behavior
I saw someone call Arcane a "generational masterpiece." I think thats pretty fitting.

I can't wait for y'all to watch episode 6. In my opinion, it's the best episode of the season.
8:15 If you start crying there, no you won't survive this episode, someone call 911.
edit: No shame, I cried like a freakin baby at the later scene. In fact first time I've ever cried out of happiness, ummm, ever. Wow.
Fun fact that Black Rose mystery woman, she's not a mystery. All I'll say she's a champion reply if you want or don't want the answer 😉😉
I don’t know if you see this comments, but with the many react I’ve seen so far, in this episode, you are the only one who new the reasons why vander felt them, it was Isha noise blood… you are so smart on that one…
😭 I CRYED SO MUCH AFTER THIS 😢
SAME 😭
I was Dee for this whole episode. I honestly was so emotionally drained I almost didn't watch Episode 6. If I wasn't watching with friends I probably would have saved it for the next day. Probably would have been for the better also.
brb crying
Finallyyyy another arcane contentttt
🙏🏼🙏🏼
I see. I click
Sister? yes. It's Leblanc ^^
can't wait to see the pain ep 6 causes...
He said emotion not affection. You ship literally everyone.
In episode 2, Viktor literally says “it was *affection* that held us together” to Jayce lol
And with shipping them… everyone has their own interpretation to this so 🤷🏻♀️
@ I’ll rewatch, maybe old age has eaten my memory. Thank you for the reply.
No worries at all! Thanks for watching with us!
I stand corrected. The line “I was clouded by emotion” is from another place. I got them crossed. You do ship everyone though :)
lol couldn’t forget that line! If the vibes are there, we will spot them…🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤣
Meesh and Dee, after seeing episodes 4 and 5, I was wondering who of you two would go Angry Goth or seek comfort in the arms of a gorgeous Scottish girl after a bad break up?
You think you ugly cried to this episode, wait for what's to come... Love you two! :)
LOL we can ugly-cry together
Fair warning if you haven't seen episode 6 yet. Have tissues ready before you watch because it's going to be rough.
This episode its so good an emotional! The hug :( And we finally get Vi and Jayce after their situationship is over, and their are looking miserable and HOT xD
This episode is my fav of any other series.. the series should have ended here..I love it and I hate it..amazing story
Is that Dee or is that Rudolf? 🤣
🥹🥹😭
does this 2 survive 6 episode?)))))
Rip you guys for what's to come.
❤❤
Dee you're going to need to redo makeup A LOT more with these remaining episodes you guys are going to watch
😭😭😭🥹🥹
Love how you give Maddie tons of hate but apparently Cait wasn't involved at all. Where's the condemnation for her? She's the one who rebounded onto Maddie.
The next episode...oh no...
Is Swain Mels dad?
Singed is the secret MVP of the show, never gets credit, thanks to him Jinx is alive, Vander is alive. And it's all for his love of his daughter. He doesn't deserve everyone calling him creepy!
@@Moms_Spaghetti Small question: have you seen the entire season yet?
This is kinda a crazy take lol.
Keeping Vander alive is torturous and he is actively murdering and unethically experimenting on people/animals in pursuit of his goal.
If that ain’t creepy and evil idk what is. Good/realistic motivations don’t justify abhorrent behavior
😢😅😢😅😢😅😢😅❤
