Streamers Team [ChessNetwork] Battle | Tournament #29

  • This is the 3rd Streamers Battle that was held on lichess.org on May 2nd, 2020. 10 teams competed in this 2-hour event of 3|0 blitz. Team ChessNetwork was the team I competed for, naturally, along with 530 teammates. Members of the same team do not get paired against each other. The sum of the top 20 performers' scores equals the final team total for this event. In my mind if you compete for a team, you are a help to a team. Even if you are outside of the top 20 for team ChessNetwork, you are pushing other members to score higher. Moreover, defeating or even losing a hard fought battle to other competitors helps keep the scores of other teams less. Many thanks to all competitors of the Streamers Battle, May 2020, especially those who played for team ChessNetwork. :)

Hi @Jerry (@ChessNetwork) , I really enjoy your videos and have been watching your channel for years (although I think I subscribed only 4 years ago). Your analysis of the world championship matches are fascinating to say the least. Could you please manage some time to cover the very important world championship match between Kasparov and Kramnik? I have searched on youtube and I do not see almost any video on this. And to me, you are one of the best to explain the intricate details of those games. Thanks a lot again from a fan! (I really hope that you dont miss this comment :)

I saw this too and had one of those talking-to-the-screen moments, "Nh6+! Nh6+!!!" He had it available for two moves until the opponent moved his Queen to safety. It was even sadder to hear Jerry say, "Feels like there's a tactic... There's gotta be something here" less than a minute later.
