Exactly the recipe I was looking for, well except for the cream cheese...my mother made this for years and in all those years I never watched her make it. I asked her how to make it and never wrote it down. She passed away in Feb of this year and so happy I'll be able to make it now.
Just found your channel looking for candy ideas, this looks amazing! I remember having this when I was little n I forgot bout it! You remind me of my Mamaw, I miss her so much! 💜✨

I'm here and watching you and feeling like I should muster up some good cheer. I send you love and hoping you get some healing please see your doctor. DELICIOUS!!! Honestly, I’ve never seen or heard of this candy, but it was easy and a hit! Everyone loves it now, so I’ll be making this till I die! Lol. Thanks!!!
Ms Joyce my momma made these for my kids every time we came to Marion. I was tickled to find you making them. I am going to try your instructions to see if mine will come out as good as yours. Merry Christmas
Thank you for your recipe! You can also make this recipe like my mom used to make when i was kid. INGREDIENTS: -Boiled Potatoes (small pieces mashed with a fork) -Powdered - confectioners - icing Sugar (added and mixed to potatoes) -Peanut butter (spread) Rolled and saved in the freezer
Wow my mother used to make this all the time when I was growing up. I would make it now but most of my family are all on diets so they would not be able to eat it. Thank you for showing this , it brought back so many good memories.
Just found your channel and made this pinwheel candy & soooooo yummy…I love potatoes 🥔 but I’m really partial to cream cheese and have tons on hand vs few potatoes 🥔..they’re for dinner so…..cream cheese it is &&& it came out just fine& I used crunchy peanut 🥜 butter 🧈 and again .. perfect 👍 I’ve eaten most of it already …taste testing so I’ll have to make it again but this time 🧐 I’ll DOUBLE IT 😊TY for sharing this fun treat
Thank you for sharing this recipe! 😋 Does it set up well with the cream cheese?, and hold up good with it? It sure does look very good! And i have everything I need to make it tonight! I believe the cream cheese will definitely give it more flavor! And a nice creamier taste that we will love!! 😋🥰
Thank you so much! My husband wanted this because his grandma made it. I’ve never made it and did not want to make it with a potato. Found your video just in time.
Are you ok? You seem to be a little labored in your breathing 😢 Thank you for working so hard to show us how this is done❤ I tried it with the potatoes and it didn't turn out too well
@@gagajoyscooking8558 oh so glad to hear that🥰 my dad had labored breathing when his blood pressure was high. I'm from East Tennessee, your accent sounds familiar. Almost could pass for an East Tennessee accent, but no quite. Doesn't sound like deep South. Probably South Carolina or Virginia I would guess. Maybe Kentucky, but I don't think Georgia or Alabama. Could be wrong, tho.
Dear I love your recipes but just a suggestion put your mic at a different location you appear to be in distress at times which I hope not Merry Christmas
My mom tells the story of the first time she made it as a kid, all by herself. She didn’t wash her hands and the sugar mixture was grey. We loved this story when we were kids. She says that everyone ate a tiny piece!

This reminds me of when my childhood best friend and I were at her house as kids, & her Mom would make this candy with us. It’s my favorite!
Much easier to prepare than the "potato" version, and oh so delicious! Thank you so much for sharing this! ❤
You are so welcome!,Glad you joined in !
You are so right. I’ll have to try it this way
how is that easier then the potato version? 4 tbsp of potato and fold in the powdered sugar until you get to the right consistency?
@@coolmesser One used to make it with BOILED potatoes, that's why. 😍
@@AMYBIERHAUS OK, I understand. I just don't find boiling a potato that complex. I do it all the time already.
I melt chocolate coating and dip a half of a slice in it so half is chocolate covered. Works best if it is cut, the chilled well before dipping. Yum!
Clever.

Love birds . I have a friend who works at a thrift shop and when she sees birds she buys them for me.
😊
Looks real good, take a break, get off them feet, for a bit, slow your breathing. I'm going to try this recipe. Thanks. Happy Holidays. 🎄
Thank you Deb thats some good advice! Let me know how it turns out! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
💖💖💖
Make this all he time, i us Jiff also both crunchy and smooth. My family loves it
For those with peanut allergies, use smooth almond butter! Just as yummy, just as addictive.
Great tip!
Yeah I was wondering about using Nutella?
Thank you so much! My husband wanted this because his grandma made it. I’ve never made it and did not want to make it with a potato. Found your video just in time.

A family favorite
I use pototoe or instant potatoes. Peanut butter and powered sugar
Love me some peanut butter

Hate the potato candy but love this
Thank you
Thought for sure you were making potato candy .
I put my peanutbutter on first, then use Nutela on top of the peanutbutter.
What about nutella?
Got to be honest I don’t know. I’m saying no
I make it with a potatoes instead of butter and cream cheese
My friends mother . It was terrific also
Love this
We user masked potatoes to make candy as well
It's an old recipe
My.grsnny called it potato candy
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing!!
Nutella? Possibly almond butter
Dear I love your recipes but just a suggestion put your mic at a different location you appear to be in distress at times which I hope not Merry Christmas
Ok thank you.II actually don’t have to wear a mic now .It’s in the camera. We tried several.
I make something almost like that but instead of butter and cream cheese I use a potato
Never tried it but my friends Mom mage it .
I wonder how it compares. I love the potato candy version from my childhood.
This recipe is better. Cream cheese makes everything better.
You need more peanut butter on that.
Have made this past 50years we call it potatoe candy
Its called potato candy
Not if you don't use potatoes lol. Pinwheels is what we call them where I live. Some call it divinity.
My mom tells the story of the first time she made it as a kid, all by herself. She didn’t wash her hands and the sugar mixture was grey. We loved this story when we were kids. She says that everyone ate a tiny piece!
Oh my
Where's the recipe, though?
The entire recipe is at the end of the video! Thanks for asking
@gagajoyscooking8558 thanks for replying! I did find it at the end of the video. I asked too fast. Sorry!
Lord Take out the Cream Cheese and Butter and Add Potato instead and you will make potato candy. same thing every bit except its a medium potato.
This is all over utube it’s depression candy that they mDE BECAUSE IT WAS CHEAP. Never seen it made with cream cheese .
nutella? I'm not a fan but a lot of people are...
I’m not a fan either
Not near enough peanutbutter
Sorry no potato
Cut with string or dental floss
I found that to be true.
This is not the authentic real recipe. It will not taste anything like the real thing.
It is a wonderful recipe version! My Mom would make it without a recipe. It was Devine. Like so many recipes you just have to find your favorite. M.
What the hell is a hife ???
I have no idea. My iPad won’t show me my
Recipes unless I sign out and back in.!,, I as assuming half with my Va. accent ha
Why all the heavy breathing?
It was where my microphone was located .
@@gagajoyscooking8558 glad your okay sweetie! Bless you! Thanks so much!
