My girlfriend was born and raised there and I showed her this video and she cried as she pointed out all of the places she used to hang out with her middle school friends

I grew up there myself. Crazy to see nothing has changed. Unless she mentioned Fry Town lol

Nice video! I live here and absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone!, but it would have been nice to show a a little of the Fort, even if it was just the fry gate. This town would not be what it is without it! 👍

Everything is nice and new. Where's the cool looking outdoor/indoor restaurants? :/. It does look much bigger than I expected.

The highlight of living in Sierra vista is going to Walmart .Cause our mall has only 2 stores and no more food court. The weather is always beautiful even in the short winter
Did I mention Walmart is everything to us

Our family moved to Sierra Vista in September 1973. One of the famous restaurants was Kumquat Tree. Fry Boulevard had been recently widened to two lanes each way with a center turn lane. Cloud Nine Estates was considered the far east side of town, Sierra Vista Estates the far south side of town.
I moved from Sorry Gulch several years later, but frequently returned to visit family. I have not returned since about a decade ago. I barely recognise scenes in this video. Much has changed - for the worse. Much of this video shows the 'main drag' - Fry Boulevard. Look how the local businesses are empty while the big-box Walmart is packed - pathetic.

We do need more businesses Sharon, even the Mall looks so empty.

We called it Sorry Vista in my 12 year tenure there.

Love Sierra Vista:- always worth the hour detour off I-10 at Benson. Sunny, warm, quiet; not sure of the local immigration problems in the area given that it's only about 20 miles from the border. Always try and stop at Tombstone and Bisbee too if around in the area.

The lovely landscaping, especially the beautiful trees, made a huge difference where they were planted. The bare areas were pretty mundane, and ugly. I would highly recommend that they plant many more.

Endless parade of corporate logos and parking lots, lol. Looks like every other small city, just a bit more spread out than average.

Was this just an unusually calm day then? Doesn't look that windy to me... And the trees aren't all bent to one side, like where I live, lol.
