Authorities have set up a new multi-agency Operations Center at 665 N Garden Drive.

Sherriff Daniels in Cochise County is doing the best job he can with what he has to work with.
He gets around 10 high speed pursuits per day coming through his County from smugglers.
It's terrible what law enforcement these has to deal with there on a daily basis.
Cochise County is such a beautiful place too. It's such a shame that these bad actors screw it up.

Need to go up the highway to the town of Fort Huachuca. At the top of that hill is the police station/Border patrol/state/fed. You can't miss the 10+ police cars parked out front.
They must be out flying the helicopter
Unless I missed a few as you drove around, I noticed that there was only one dumpster. That's nothing at all for a building that size, especially if they are supposedly housing people.
Doesn't look like a housing facility to me, it looks like office space where they can gather, push paperwork, handout debit cards, bus and plane tickets. Probably some nice conference rooms in there as well.
@@jickie511 That's pretty much what I too was thinking that it was. A processing center. But I suspect there are a few holding cells inside at some part of the building considering they do take different sorts of illegals there.
I use to work in a Convention Center and this place sort of reminded me of that, but this one is smaller. The place was definitely closed up. No visible lights on that could be detected. Maybe they had a maintenance worker or two there. Or possibly just a couple 'prisoners' that needed tended to off in some odd part of the building, but I doubt that considering we all know how they just ship them all out elsewhere.
The neighboring suites seem to be Gov. contractors related to technology security and artificial intelligence. ECS, Empower AI and TekSynap.

Black windows helps keep the air conditioners cooler and blocks the extreme heat down there. Temps easily get 115 in the summer. That's what I think anyway because I've seen others like that in southern New Mexico

As a long time resident of Sierra Vista ,I can tell you this is smoke and mirrors. The local law enforcement does nothing to stop the illegals from coming in. We have many cartel owned money laundering businesses in town and they just let it happen . We need real American law enforcement down here.

It opens in October yet, according to a "The Herald Review" article from November, 2023, the state had already secured a $5M grant to buy the building, no construction involved. Is it just me, or does our government function even slower as we face critical and worsening situations. This coordination of departments should've been in place long ago; walls aren't enough.

Just another illegal processing center.........there is Fort Huachuca Army base right there, why not use the Army to monitor, they have an airstrip for smaller planes.....go see Lady of the Sierra while you are there

Did the border patrol ever send them back? Didn't they want access, no wire, so they could apprehend and process them? Wasn't it the National Guard who were trying to keep them from getting in, or sending them back?
I lived there for 12 years, hiked and mountain biked several times a week. I only ever saw migrants getting arrested on the side of the road, less than five times. My wife saw some in the desert, once. I did see where they dropped their black clothes and backpacks. Maybe things changed since 2018?
